I expected way better!!! I ordered a bowl of menudo and it looked diluted in water and lacked flavor. I was also disappointed with the stale tortillas that I was given. This place might be worth more stars to the non-​Latin people in the area, but I have had better menudo out of the can.

I have a lot of food issues and was super excited to find a Mexican restaurant where I could eat lunch as my blood sugar fell. The staff was hugely helpful in ordering to make sure I got everything I needed.
There was one other table of people at two in the afternoon on a Sunday. The wait for the food wasn’t too long and it was nicely presented. It wasn’t super greasy or anything, but it was fairly mediocre. Decent run-​of-​the-​mill Mexican food but not something I would go out of the way for. Definitely a good stopping spot if you need a break from all of the San Francisco walking. But don’t expect anythingspecial.

3 years later… and these are still the best damn carnitas burritos in town. The Pico de gallo is excellent too and very finely chopped which is a reflection on how much care your food is made with.

Resto mexicain plutôt rustique proposant un grand choix de tacos, burritos ou assiettes pour des prix raisonnables. Nous avons prit les super tacos et burritos avec la viande au choix, le tout accompagné de chips tortilla et sauce salsa en attendant nos plats. Le super burrito est bien copieux et idéal pour les gros mangeurs. Le taco est plus petit et servi en assiette. Accueil très agréable et service rapide. Salle plutôt propre mais les wc sont un peu sales !

Their prices are amazing, their burritos are spectacular, and their customer service is always polite, nice, and welcoming. Definitely my North Beach grub favorite. (Recommend ANY super burrito!)

Been there twice with my partner for the same veggie «super» burrito. Very casual atmosphere, and a darn good burrito. We just moved to the neighborhood and foresee this taqueria being our go to when craving burritos (happens at least once a week). Back in our hometown of Miami, there were great Mexican (and every other Latin food) restaurants everywhere. This was the biggest issues we had with moving to SF, cause we love some good Latin food. We are not very picky, but we know a good burrito, and this is the place to get one.
However, I deducted a star because we got home and my partner bit into a chicken burrito when we ALWAYS order vegetarian. Went back and they gave us veggie ones right away, but it was annoying having to walk back from our apartment. Also, the chips were stale. I called to tell them, and they were grateful, but I didn’t want to walk back again for chips, so I had to enjoy a chipless meal.

Had a craving for a burrito — Found this place on Unilocal and because it was the closest one to my work — my co-​worker and i decided to go there.
Super Chicken Burrito was disgusting. Rice was so mushy and gooey, and amount of pieces of meat made you wonder if there was any at all.
My co-​worker barely could finish his — and his burrito had PEAS in it! Who puts peas in a burrito? And if you do — then list it on a menu!!!
Horrible quality of ingredients over all.
i did eat it, because was hungry. After half hour i had an allergic reaction to something in it. I’ve never had any allergies — so i freaked out when my eye started swelling up!
Benadryl helped, but the after taste is still in my mouth. this place just killed any craving for Mexican food for sure — so 5 stars to that.

This place is the worst burrito I have ever had… seriously where is the meat? They added a whole bunch of extra stuff not on the menu. It was like they got leftover fried rice from a Chinese place and used it in their burritos. Onions, Peas, green beans, and carrots in your rice? Wtf is that shit?
Taste was awful and I ended up throwing most of it out. Maybe some of their other items are out, but the burrito was horrible.

El esposo y yo were very happy to find a mexican restaurant within five blocks of our apartment! And upon closer inspection, el esposo was delighted by all the plants surrounding the walls and windows.
Thank goodness this place worked out, because now it’s one of our neighborhood staples. The food is delicious! I’ll start with the simple stuff:
For salsa, I usually get the pico de gaio and green sauce. I also love a bubbly beverage (read: soda) with mexican… So it’s great that they started ordering bigger mexican cokes– 1 litre, which is perfect for sharing.
I usually get a burrito — the al pastor is wonderful!!! It’s very filling, tasty and juicy. If I’m in the mood for something basic or lighter, I get the fajita plate with steak and/​or chicken. those meats are usually a little more bland and dry, but on the plate, with sides, they work well. The husband usually gets a chorizo plate, which always makes him smack his lips! basically, my favorite mexican place!

The only thing holding this place back from being on par with the mission is a higher volume of business.
It is a mom and pop style operation with fresh ingrediants.

i tried the carnitas burrito and it was ok, some of the carnitas was kinda hard. I like it when they wrap the burrito so you get everything in each bite, sometimes people wrap it weird and you get just meat in one bite and then all sour cream in the other bite.
I would be back to try the al pastor burrito without rice
