On of our favorite dance camps. The first year we were only vaguely aware of the LGBT sponsorship, so it was interesting learning to do Balboa in the arms of another woman, and adjusting breasts to fit. Hilarious. Nice variety of instructors. We returned for 4 years in a row.

I’ve done SF BalFest (short for San Francisco Balboa Festival) for the past couple of years and I really REALLY love it. I’ve been to dozens of Swing Dance camps around the world (never been to Harrang, though) over the past 15 years, and I this one is in the top three.
Topnotch instructors. Really nice, authentic all-​in-​one location, and fascinating special guest speakers. Every year.
One of the important things about SF BalFest is that it’s run by a superbly stand-​up guy, Bernie (He also runs
). I don’t know of any other dance camp that really raises awareness of gender orientation in such a positive, non-​confrontational way.
It’s really worth supporting in any way possible.
