Came in here to use the restroom for customers only. Bought the special«roasted milk tea» for $ 2, no tax. It was pretty good, better than I expected! Kind of sweet, but the overall taste was correct. I recommend, but the restroom is gross and no soap to wash your hands and no paper towels.

Food was so so. Waited over 30 mins for a waffle and egg tarts. Both of which were cold. Not worth it. The 2 staff working seemed nice but they moved so slowly.

3.5 stars. I could stare at their menu for hours. And by «menu» I mean the millions of posters hanging around the cashier area that advertises food and desserts for days. I’m not sure where they keep all the ingredients for this wide variety of hot and cold stuff, but it’s impressive. My boyfriend and I stopped in for some milk tea after having dim sum, so I ordered a red bean milk tea. We only ordered two drinks, but it took FOREVER to make. The line was not even that long. To make up for this, there’s lots of seating upstairs, which is nice for larger groups or just some privacy away from the bustle of Chinatown. The milk tea was good. The boba was fresh, and there were tons of red beans. Very filling. Would come here again to try some of their snacks(not eating dim sum before) and remember to visit with a little more patience to wait longer than expected.

I was strolling Chinatown with the bff and decided to stop in here for the egg puffs. We actually liked it. I thought he texture was good: crispy, slightly spongy, but tasty! They were $ 3.99/order and it took 10 minutes to make. So I used the restroom while waiting, and it was super unexpected. The lever was broken, so they tied a lanyard or rope to the hinge inside of the toilet, in order to flush, you had to pull the rope. –____– as if a bathroom was any cleaner… I felt so weird/disgusted having to do that. lol

The dessert here is poorly made. We ordered mango pudding. It is so watery and super sweet. We waited for our order more than fourth minutes. And it is still not coming. I don’t even want to give them a star.

Ordered a chocolate waffle and shaved ice. Waited almost an hour for the chocolate waffle… And the waffle came up cold!!! Then we asked for the shaved ice and he said coming up soon. Then we waited another 30 minutes… Everyone behind us already got their orders. Over one hour wait time for the shaved ice after we order? That is way too ridiculous.

I tried the Ginger Milk that fellow Unilocalers recommended. It is definitely not for everyone… It is of a thicker texture, more like a pudding than a drink. The ginger taste is incredibly strong. The first bite was interesting and leaves you questioning the taste. It was okay for the next couple of bites. However, the ginger taste finally got too strong and I could only feel the ginger in my throat. I would recommend sharing this. Less than half a cup would have been more than enough for me.

There’s free wifi and restrooms for customers only! Open later than a lot of the places around it. Decent service but pretty good boba(they have ice cream too!)

The café sells Asian snacks and desserts, and it sure makes you feel like you’re in Asia because of the run-down feel of the whole place, which I found oddly endearing… Contrary to a previous Unilocal review, there is a whole second floor of seating space, but it’s even more run down than the first floor and I can see the thick layers of dust accumulating on the décor on the second floor. But anyway, you can drop in and get great popcorn chicken for $ 4.50. All the other packaged snacks are overpriced compared to typical Chinatown shops, and the service here is not that great because they messed up my egg waffle and showed no remorse. Funny story though, I gave the waiter a $ 10 bill to pay for my $ 5 egg waffle, and in return, he gave me $ 15 in change! :D

Got an awesome mocha milk tea drink here. They also have a zillion kinds of bubble tea and all that kind of stuff. No frills inside, but they do have a restroom for customers(upstairs) which you’ll learn is something of a rarity in Chinatown and downtown SF for that matter, so I appreciate that they have it. A great place to stop for a refreshing drink on your SF adventure.

This place is no good. Its located in Chinatown and its the first store I walked by that serves bubble tea. So in my mind I was like, I am thirsty lets stop here. Ok… décor is dirty and run down. But again, I am just grabbing and go. There are no places to sit in this Café. I ordered the grass jelly milk tea with lychee jelly. I have to say it was pretty disgusting. I have had way better ones and the drink is almost not drinkable. Really ruined my thoughts on bubble tea in San Fran.

Long waited review but it’s been my to-go since I ever discovered it. In highschool. 5 years ago. Lol and now I live in Vegas I still make time to come here any time I’m back! My to-go items are combo A — popcorn chicken with milk tea + tapioca, upgrade to large for $ 1 I believe. MT is HK Style milk tea — my gluttonous beverages and satisfies my cravings Price is a bit steeper now, it’s about $ 7.25 before tax but still worth it. It’s also a must visit every time I hang with Miss Eva O. — Hi pee!

I came to buy some egg puffs. I was first in line. 5 others came after me and all got their order before mine. I had to wait a total of 20 minutes for some egg puffs that can be done within 5. Worst part is the egg puffs aren’t even intact. They did not even say sorry or try to make a new one for me.

On my first visit, I decided to try their Coconut Milk Sago expecting it to be in dessert format, but it was actually a drink! Very delicious, not overly sweet and numbing like some of the milk tea flavors. It is also a fairly large size. I later tried the Mango & Coconut Milk Sago, which was also delicious, though I actually prefer the pure Coconut one better. I recently tried the Honeydew Sago, which wasn’t that great(I don’t think it contained milk at all?) They seem to be pretty understaffed and are making all sorts of drinks and desserts on the spot, so are not as quick as other boba and dessert establishments, so if there is a line, definitely expect a wait. Luckily there is free wifi to use while waiting.

Don’t know if there was a misunderstanding through translation, but supposedly they don’t off flavored teas. That’s no bueno for a person who’s lactose intolerant. You may be saying that it’s non-lactose diary powder or whatever in the milk teas, but my intestines have said otherwise. All in all, I found this place to be generic, Ten Ren Tea is still my go-to in Chinatown.

We came in on a Saturday around 3 or 4pm. There was only one person ahead of us at first, but after we made our order, the line was out the door! THEWAIT: Because we missed this rush, it was quick to order and our Avocado Smoothie came out quickly. But the Ginger milk took a really, really long time. Maybe 10 – 15 minutes. THECOST: $ 8.49 for two drinks. The Avocado Smoothie(see my photo) was quite thick, more slimy than icy. It amazingly barely melt for quite a while walking around Chinatown, but we didn’t finish it as it was quite heavy. The avocado flavor wasn’t strong enough, but at least it wasn’t too sweet. The boba had great texture. 3 stars overall. This Ginger Milk was so delicious! It was pretty thick and the ginger was authentic in flavor, quite strong too. It’s a warm drink. I added boba but that wasn’t a great idea(and I should’ve taken a cue when the girl at the register seemed surprised at that addition). 4.5 stars overall.

Popcorn Chicken! Their popcorn chicken is not over battered nor is their meat dry. It’s moist and fried enough to enjoy the taste. Be warned that the paper bag might be oily but hey, when is good food not oily. I also get their green milk tea tapioca. The color of their milk tea tapioca kinda resembles the color of Thai tea but is not Thai tea.

I was craving boba so I decided to stop by here. The people that were serving us were very sweet and had a smile on their face the entire time. There are some chairs and tables to sit at downstairs — the decoration here is basic. They also sell a ton of other items on the menu and various asian snacks in the store. I ordered the regular size almond milk tea with boba($ 3.50). The tea was pretty standard and the boba was a lot softer and mushier than what I am used to at other places. Overall I think I would check out some of their other items than boba. Seems like the food here got better reviews.

The only Ginger-Milk in SF, super friendly table service, bargain prices! Awesome post dinner dessert joint in Chinatown. Great for tourists and locals alike. The café is cute, has ample seating(upstairs), and centrally located in Chinatown. For under $ 5 you get a delightful dine-in table service dessert. Order when you walk in, grab a seat and they’ll bring you your order. I personally get the ginger milk every time, a must try if you love ginger.(huge Lindsay Lohan fan) Asian Tip: If you also take down 4 – 5 bags of green tea Kit-Kats each month, load up here! They are only $ 5/bag, vs. the $ 6 everywhere else. You save one dollar here, you have one dollar and you go to the dollar store you go buy something else.
