Wow — I have never felt judged by a doctor before. Until I met this one. Frantically searching for an answer to a medical issue that has plagued me for a year, my primary referred me to this endocrinologist. What a terrible waste of time and source of frustration. It’s sad that drs like this exist.

I’ve had several interactions with Dr. Tibuni-Sanders. She has a very pleasant bedside manner, and takes real interest in the best care for her patients. She’s happy to research symptoms, discuss treatment options pragmatically, and gives her patients her full attention. She’s very approachable and easy to talk to. She has genuine interest in her field, and seems to really love her practice. I would definitely recommend her.

I was referred to this doctor by my primary doctor and told she had special knowledge of diabetes. I had to go as I was told I had to talk to her to show how much medicine I needed. I have had diabetes for over 20 years and know what I need. She tried to get me to buy a $ 1500 item and also convince me to use different medicine, said my blood pressure was too high but wouldn’t answer questions when I asked what I should do about that, and was generally evasive and snooty towards me. She wouldn’t answer questions and then when I told her the reason I had spent time and missed part of a day to come down there, argued with me and told me I didn’t need the medication I was asking for even though I know not having it will be terrible for my long-term health and cause me to die earlier and have eye and foot problems. I was simply talking and explaining. She had given me several dirty looks and ignored questions. She was evasive and rude. She just said hold on a second, then walked away, and left. Literally never said goodbye, never said I’m leaving, the appointment is over, never shook hands, never asked anyone else to tell me she had gone and the appointment was over, just left me there saying just a minute. 25 minutes later, someone came and said security would kick me out and were there. I had never previously been told to leave or that she was gone. I thought she was coming back. No one would listen to me at that point as the other people there just took her lying word for it. She then spread rumors around and told my doctor she felt threatened. This is a building up on the 6th floor with many people around, security, and I was talking to her, never said anything threatening, never did anything remotely violent or threatening. What she is doing is far worse for my health than it would be for someone to punch me in the face 100 times. I never swore, argued, or was threatening. I simply said I came down here and was told to explain to you why I need this, and you keep changing the subject. She then lied about me to her boss and to my doctor. I challenge her to a lie detector test any day that I threatened her, that’s preposterous that I would threaten someone. She made a decision which severely damages my personal health based on a talk with some accountant or someone whose name she won’t reveal. She also answers her phone and pretends not to be herself. She is dishonest and when I asked is this Dr. Tibuni-Sanders, she said no but I can take a message for her, who’s this, and I checked with someone who knows and it was her, so I verified a lie about that. She’s the only one who answers her phone as I know from someone in that department who helped me because they know what really happened but is afraid to make waves. She lets accountants tell her how much to prescribe. When I asked who she talked to she asked me to call a bureaucratic tech. support line and write a letter. She said she would give what I was asking for, called someone, then changed what she’d just said, then wouldn’t say who she’d called. When I explained it would take an hour, she said that’s too bad, buy more medicine yourself if you need it. She was flippant and had no empathy for how much this would damage my health and tried to sell me on other technologies with no scientific basis, just based on it costing them more, for instance she wanted me to replace something they pay for now with something which would cost $ 1500 out of pocket, money which I do not have. When I tried to explain, she just said just a second and left me alone in an office for 25 minutes, and no, she didn’t inform anyone to tell me she’d left, I had to go out and look for someone and ask, then later I found out she went behind my back and defamed me to my doctor and her manager who refused to return my call and the other people in her department. She is not a nice person and I would not reccomend her. Plus if you call she will pretend to not be herself and tell others not to return your call. Doesn’t take the time and trouble to understand her patients.
