One star, because they’re closed. Too bad, they had a great location in Glen Park, and could have actually provided consistent service and food. But apparently, that was too much to ask. Later Yong De.

Just FYI– This place is currently closed and having construction done. I live nearby, and although it has saved me from starving several times, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality meal. It is cheap and simple. The place itself doesn’t smell clean, and the word on the street is that it was closed down due to a board of health concern… I can’t say for sure. Typical greasy-spoon stuff, don’t waste your time or money.

By far the most awful food i’ve ever had… EVER!!! I found it on , and(without looking at the reviews) decided to give it a try since it was the only place that would deiver at that time. The food was really late and arrived cold. The tempura vegetables were burnt and soggy. The sushi was really gross. And the chow mein was super oily and really, really bland. My question is… how the hell do you fuck up chow mein??? There’s absolutely no way in hell, I’m ever eating here again.

Frighteningly dirty, with mediocre food. The inspection report(posted on the wall, and on clean scores) gave them 58/100, and noted that their counters are not kept clean and sanitized. And they’re preparing sushi! If you stick to the fresh, hot, Chinese food, then you’re probably safe from illness, but it still isn’t very good – just your standard gloppy Chinese take-out, with gristly meats.

This place is a total bummer! I was looking through the phonebook for some dinner and ran across their ad so I decided to order some food from them. Here is a list of all the things that I didn’t like: –The lady on the phone was extremely rude. She did not give me a total, did not answer my questions on the food properly, and did not have any manners at all. –The delivery driver took almost 1 and a half hours to find my place and when they thought they had the right place, they didn’t. They had to call me twice to ask me what my address was(which I clearly gave to them). –And finally, the food was terrible. Salty and very oily.

This place is horrible! I found this on accident while desperately looking for a Chinese food menu on the yellow pages. They deliver & also have Japanese food. I ordered the sweet & sour chicken, but there was barely any sauce on the meat. The chicken teriyaki was blah. Delivery took so long, about 45 minutes or more.

Young babies = lots of delivery. We’ve ordered from Yong De 5 or 6 times. Tonight, we discovered they would deliver us 2 large and well needed Sapporos. Yong De is generally good– not great, not fancy, and if you get the wrong thing, potentially really bad. Examples of good, yummy things to get: Crabmeat and cream cheese puffs Barbeque pork with vegetables 5 Taste Scallops Walnut Prawns California Roll Example of the wrong thing to get: the vegetable tempura off of the Japanese menu. It was heavy, thick with grease, and not very fresh. In short, Yong De is decent, not stellar, and sometimes really good.

I am one of the many who orders for delivery. Although they may take a while sometimes the sushi is delicious and great for those lazy nights when you just want to stay home and write reviews on Unilocal. The menu is a bit pr icy, but it is some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. I always mix up the Chinese and Japanese food so I end up with many, many leftovers.

For what it is Yong De is a good Chinese restaurant. I tend to order in places like this the lunch special for simplicity’s sake, which Yong De offers with a soup, a choice of chow mein, fried rice, or plain rice, and a choice of meat, all at around $ 5-$ 6. It’s not a bad deal and when the food tastes this surprisingly good, it’s hard to pass up. If you need a cheap and filling Chinese fix around Glen Park station, Yong De is a good choice. Note I speak purely in terms of the Chinese food here. I usually suggest against having sushi in Chinese/Japanese restaurants but who knows I could be wrong.

Nothing fabulous, but they deliver and close at 11pm. The menu has some chinese/japanese food. I find the prices overall reasonable. They have a special«japanese» luncheon special where you can get a combination of things(btw 11−4pm), a selection of beverages and they cater also. The sushi has been tasty and fresh when I have had it and the chow mein, lemon chicken and veggies have been fine. Nothing over the top. Just some food at a reasonable price and delivered. My only negative is when we asked for Budweiser they gave us Root Beer. Budweiser and Root Beer how can you confuse the two. Overall, this place is ok for something quick, cheap and delivered. Root Beer?

Good noodle dishes and they use the white meat of the chicken in their Chicken Won Ton. I like the Shrimp chow mein and the onion cakes. They have free delivery which is a plus. Never ordered the Japanese food, as I’m leary of a restaurant that tries to tackle both cuisines(read: don’t eat Sushi at a restaurant unless you know that there is a high turnover). Can you say ‘Parasites’?

The plus, is that they deliver. yes they deliver from like 11am til 11 pm. Where else can you find a sushi place that delivers in San Francisco? Not many, eh? Anyway, I know not the best sushi place, but acceptable and good when it matters. The menu is rather large, so you can explore a bit and see what interests you. The location is Glen Park and it takes about an hour for delivery, depending on where you live. A few other’s I know have received take-out from them and said it was ok. You need to know what to order.

I’m a delivery regular. For delivery I’m very happy with the sushi, good portion sizes, fast delivery and also delicious Chinese food. Two for one!

I have such mixed feelings about this place. Schizo layout — Genuine chinese food — sit at the sushi bar amigo? First, god-awful *loud* techno music seems to be all you get. Next, as someone else noted — staff hygiene is very questionable, and there are odd, bad smells that don’t hide well. And the good: BARTable, damn good hot+sour soup, and the dishes usually tasted good. But that odd smell and off-putting music eventually drove me to eat elsewhere.

One cold foggy evening my brother calls me up and ask me to get him some dinner before hubby and I go over to his place to fix his computer. He told me just get any Chinese food with some rice, and since this place is one the way to the freeway, we stop in to get his some food. I walked in and noticed 2 girls sitting at the sushi counter rolling egg rolls. One of them stops and come up to me to take my order. I ordered Garlic Chicken with Eggplants and steamed rice. She charged me about $ 8.50 for the meal which I thought was really expensive for Chinese take out. Anyways, while I was waiting for my food, I scoped out the place some more. Since there was no one at the sushi counter, they used it as the egg roll rolling station. There were also half empty glasses with soda and boba drinks which I thought looked really gross and dirty. But what really grabbed my attention was the fact that they don’t wash their hands before they rolled the egg rolls. They are just grabbing the egg roll stuffings with their hands and rolling it, then the phone rings, they’ll stop and answer the phone, then without washing hands, they will sit back down and continue with the egg roll rolling. Cringe… When my food finally came out, I grabbed it and left hoping it won’t give my brother food poisoning. When my bro was eating the food, I asked him how he liked it. He said that it had alot of MSG and the rice was really dry like it was in the rice cooker for 3 days. Dang it, I wish I read the Unilocal review for this dump before going there and potentially killing my brother with their dirty food.

So I won’t lie, I have ordered from this place in a drunken/hungover haze. I haven’t gotten any major diseases from it yet, but I think I might have just gotten lucky. One thing that is delish is their crab and cheese puffs. Their sushi rolls are kind of funny. To me it seems like they use the same base for everything– a California roll– and then they just layer different fish(obviously has been frozen) on top. It’s cool to be able to get walnut prawns and a rainbow roll at the same time, but it’s also kinda creepy.

Mother Fuckin Yong De! I Love this place! Delivery is always on point, friendly and efficient on the phone and cheap good eats! Half Chinese half Japanese food, «Um I’ll take ‘Fuck Yeah’ for $ 500 Alex.» Simple as that … cheap sushi with the killer combo’s including grubbin ass fried pork cutlets and Miso soup?! What?! Sold me! Delivery till 11 pm?! Awesome!

This food is gross and I love it. My friend Scott thinks the beef is really neighborhood cat meat. I can’t help it though, it’s that heavy, soggy Chinese food I crave and it comes quickly to my door. I cram it down my throat while watching bad television, and then I feel sick and you can’t stop me. Actually, the walnut prawns aren’t too bad, and they’re definitely not cat meat, you can tell by looking. Decent pot stickers, could be cat meat, not sure. Do not order this for your friends if you want to keep them. Order it for yourself when you need a quick greasy food fix and you are able to ignore the why-did-i-do-that-to-myself mental trap.

I’ve been ordering food here since 1997. This place is great if you need a sushi fix delivered to your door. The folks here are friendly and the delivery is fast. My wifey unit loves the tofu/spinach/brown sauce dish while I love their sushi rolls. Yummie! This is my first option for Sushi delivery to the Sunset.
