I love this place! My favorite is the white Alfredo sauce. The staff here is really nice, sometimes I just want a little black pepper sauce so they give me both! Only thing is I don’t recommend the tomato sauce, has this weird after taste to it. But overall good price and portion!

I came here wanting to try teppanyaki cuisine and was pleasantly surprised with the good food and service I received here at Super Pan. There were two workers at the restaurant on a weekday night with only one party in the restaurant when we arrived. By the time we left, there were two more parties that arrived and it started to get pretty noisy. Anyway, I really enjoyed the amazing service here. We were offered tea or water and a reasonable time to look over the menu. Although I initially came out here to try a nice sizzling plate, the pouring rain I encountered while coming to Super Pan made me change my mind and opted for their Buddae Jjiae. I was a bit worried on how spicy it was going to be, so I asked the waiter if they could make mine less spicy. They were kind enough to ask me a few minutes after I got my dish to see if they needed to make any adjustments on how spicy or less spicy I wanted it. My boyfriend ordered the curry beef pepper plate and asked for an egg on top. Although they forgot to add the egg, my boyfriend said he enjoyed the overall dish and liked that the curry was on the side. The meat was cooked perfectly and the workers checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was okay. Overall, it was a good experience and a place I would come back to actually try the sizzling plate dish next time!

Service was great and our food came out very fast. When we came in, it wasn’t crowded at all. The portion fits the price I suppose. Would recommend to others(:

Cool place and cool concept. I wish the food was a little bit more seasoned from the kitchen and they had more sauce choices.

A sizzling plate of rice, chicken, and gravy. The most satisfying dinner I’ve had in a while. And it was only $ 10.99. Service was great, the waitress was really friendly. Definitely coming back again.

A nice concept, but the food was alittle bland for my taste. I got the salmon pepper rice and when it came out, it was damn sizzling, but they had this paper«windshield» to protect it from aplattering, which was nice. One I started to mix it to cook it, it was fine, but the meal was alittle bland. It needed more seasoning or something or some sauces for the table. Also, I think the dishes should have vegatables in it or be able to have an option wih the meal with or without vegatables. It was just to bland for me to come back. Again, nice concept. Friiendly young staff though.

Came here with a friend and I ordered the curry beef with rice while my friend ordered the beef pepper rice. I ended up really liking my friend’s pepper rice, however, it still lacked in flavor. I like 100% Sweet Café’s beef pepper teppanyaki a lot more! Also tried the oolong milk tea and I didn’t quite like this drink because although there was oolong taste, the milk tasted like powered milk. You’re better off going to ShareTea right next door for your milk tea! However, service was absolute. Our waiter checked up on us a couple of times to make our food and everything else was okay. He also added cheese to our teppanyaki at no charge :) Very friendly and polite!

I think this is the first Pepper Lunch/DIY rice plate concept of this kind in SF(?). It’s not bad and I think the flavors are just right. Go with the classics– pepper beef or curry pepper beef. You get the sauce on the side and get to add however much you want to your rice, meat, and corn. The hot plate comes out sizzling and you get to cook your meat in front of you. Beware it’s extremely hot. I think they should have the side seasonings on the table because sometimes you want the extra spice, but all in all it is a solid spot for the DIY concept. P. S. Appetizers: The garlic fries are bomb– very crispy. The spicy chicken wings are not ones I expected and were interesting — they are more like braised wings. I’d pass on that next time.

Super Pan got me SUPER EGGcited, because of the concept similar to PepperLunchUSA. .:Food:. Teppan Pasta Beef and Garlic Pasta 10.99(+$ 1.00 add egg): Came with a black sauce to add on top. Overall taste was pretty decent, the black sauce basically gave the beef and pasta all the flavors. The pasta was a bit disappointing though. I wish it was udon or something better because it tasted like a cheap safeway brand, which even after sitting on the sizzling plate felt a bit on the harder side. The sizzling plate came out with a paper surrounding it to prevent splashing of hot oil on you(which is quite considerate). .:Service/WaitTime:. Service was pretty good. There was two guys there when we came on Thursday night around 5:30pm. There was no wait at all, in fact, it was empty besides the two of us. The crowd rolled in after about 6pm. They were very tentative and warned us that the plate was hot and to cook the beef thoroughly before eating. They came by several times to check if we needed more water or more sauce. Pretty decent place and the price was not too bad as well. If you’re craving pepperlunch and do not feel like driving all the way to Milpitas, this is a good substitute.

I’ve had Pepper Lunch plenty of times and contrary to popular belief, I think that SuperPan is comparable(sorry guys lol). I tried the sizzling salmon pan and found the hidden chunk of garlic butter within the rice! I definitely suggest mixing everything together within the first 5 mins of receiving it so you can cook everything evenly before the pan cools down(after you get your snapchats and photos of it, of course)! I usually get the salmon at Pepper Lunch as well and found the two to be relatively similar. It came with a sauce but I didn’t use much of it since I found the butter flavorful enough. I love how the rice gets crispy too… Yeees. My friend got the sizzling beef pan and she added salt to taste and tons of sauce but she seemed to enjoy it overall. The service is nice and there’s a decent amount of seating as well. Only thing I would suggest is some music bc it’s quiet AF in there and everyone can hear your conversations LOL… Awkward.

I’ve never had teppanyaki before tonight, but after visiting Super Pan I am sure it won’t be my last time! It was pretty mellow on a Tuesday evening. Plenty of tables open — it is supposedly a «hot & new» restaurant maybe more so on the weekends? Our waiter was super quick and very nice. Quick tip: if you want more spice just ask for some sriracha! They have bottles of it hiding(maybe you should put them on the tables for your patrons, if you’re reading this Super Pan!). I only noticed this after I’d finished my meal. My companion had a beer, and I had the passion fruit green tea with popping boba because ~yolo~ or whatever the kids are saying these days. We both ordered the #9 — cheesy omelette with rice and garlic pepper gravy chicken. It arrived hot and sizzling to our table and we couldn’t wait to dig in! The chicken was cooked perfectly, the veggies(corn and broccoli) still had a nice crunch to them, omelette was delicate and slightly cheesy, and the rice(especially the bottom that gets crispy and stuck to the pot) was awesome! It was a little light on the flavor, but like I said ask for sriracha ’cause they have it! We both really liked this dish and commented how we’d like to come back and try some of the others too. Prices are on-point and not too steep. A great deal for a good meal. Can’t wait to come back soon!

I went to a tepanyaki place I Tokyo that I really liked so I was excited to discover Super Pan in SF. I ordered the curry pepper steak with an egg on top. It’s the same as the regular pepper steak but just with curry sauce instead of heir house pepper sauce. Either way, all of their tepanyaki dishes were under spiced and my whole table had to dump a bunch of salt and pepper on our food. The steak pieces were also really big so they couldn’t get crispy from cooking in the pan. We also got 2 shaved ice desserts that were mediocre. I wouldn’t mind going here if I’m just craving rice with meat. The meal was big and decent if you added more spices.

While vacationing in Hong Kong, Mr. Dubs came across Pepper Lunch– a restaurant that serves similar style food. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to try them out since there are about a billion places we wanted to try in HK. When I saw Super Pan on Unilocal,I was determined to give them a try right away! We both ordered the Beef Pepper Rice and I added an egg on top. I never thought I’d say this, but I felt that there may be too much butter in my rice. I also didn’t like how some of he beef was extremely overcooked, since I had to wait until all of them cooked in the pan. Overall, I felt that the dish was a bit bland and the butter overkill left me feeling a little sick. I don’t think I’d come back to Super Pan, but if you’ve never tried them out, I think it’s worth at least one shot!

Super Pan is pretty good. It isn’t Pepper Lunch, so I will not be putting a comparison to the two. We came in early evening on a Thursday and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The server, she was very nice and friendly. We got water right away and we looked over the menu. We ended up getting the beef with rice and the beef with spaghetti and an order of the fried cheese wontons. The beef they use is good quality and thin so that it cooks fast and thoroughly. For my spaghetti one, I wish they had put corn it in. I think that would have brought it all together. We asked for extra garlic butter and it helped flavor the dish up. The sauce they serve, is like a peppery gravy sauce that gives it more flavor as well. The fried cheese wontons were definitely optional, but I wanted something fried that night and it hit the spot. They came out piping hot and crispy. They have other things on the menu I saw like pasta and ramen and even a mini hot pot. There is also a bunch of different drinks they serve as well.

Thought this was going to be just like Pepperlunch but it didn’t come close! The concept is the same — but everything definitely fell short. The food came out fast & they told us to mix mix mix. I ordered the beef curry w/cheese & corn but there wasn’t much cheese or corn… we mixed in the curry sauce and that was all I really tasted — which wasn’t bad but I would’ve liked to taste some of the other stuff! Also. they say each one comes with hidden garlic butter but I didn’t taste any garlic… either it wasn’t in there or they hid it really well… The service was good & food came out quick which was nice — but maybe next time I just won’t get the curry flavored one & try something different!

I was excited to try Superpan after reading the glowing reviews and seeing its resemblance to Pepperlunch USA in Milpitas… However the experience was just mediocre for me. My bff and I both ordered the curry beef pepper rice with cheese and garlic and pepper sauce. It came after around 5 minutes on an enticing hot sizzling platter and with a side of curry sauce. The waiter made sure we knew to cook the beef thoroughly before mixing, or else the beef might not be cooked all the way through. So we mixed and mixed and mixed and finally got to try it! …And the end result was a little bland. You would think the curry sauce would be very flavorful, but it needed more seasoning. At least the meat was good! We wished there was more corn included in the dish. And lastly, we were waiting for the garlic butter flavor but didn’t taste any. :-( We were full afterwards so the price point($ 11) is okay. The pastas look good, so maybe that was a better choice over the rice! Maybe next time.

SERVICE: I’m actually quite impressed! The young gentlemen that take the orders and serve you are quite friendly and very attentive to details such as drink refills. As I’ve stated before, my expectations for Asian wait staff are low, so this came as a nice surprise! Thumbs up for them! FOOD: At first I was doubtful this place could make a successful business out of serving one type of dish. I was wrong. They’ve got a great assortment of different«pans». I’ve tried the Tomato Gravy Beef pan and the Garlic Noodles with Beef pan on two separate occasions. Both were phenomenal. I really like the paper«sizzle cover» this place puts on their pans when they serve it to you. It protects you from getting burned from sizzle splashes while you wait for your pan to cool down. The DIY element to their pans is also unique and fun. The beef is tender and flavorful(garlicky). The cheesy egg that comes with a few of their dishes is incredible soft too! ATMOSPHERE: Nothing to rave about. They’ve got this huge mural of their food on the back wall which adds color to the place. This place is clean so that’s what’s most important. Well lit, Not to mention the great price! Nothing is over $ 10! What a steal! Definitely will be coming back here.

I have been here twice now. The ladies working here are extremely nice, and happy to make recommendations of their most popular dishes. Regardless of how busy it is, customer service both times did not disappoint. I have tried the beef pepper rice, and the cheese omelette and curry chicken. Both were very good. They came out in under ten minutes. The whole plate was sizzling with ferocity as it made its way to the table. Be sure to let it cool down a bit because it is just too hot to consume right away. The presentation was nice and decorative, featuring corn, broccoli, chicken, curry, rice, and the omelette. It was a great combination of foods. The omelette was very fluffy and light. The curry chicken had a great flavor. The beef was equally good. Normally, if the beef cooks for too long, it starts to taste chewy. I did not experience that problem here. The sauce that was served alongside the dish was delicious. I do wish that for the price, more beef came with the dish. Or, at least put an option to add more beef at an additional cost. I like the décor, simply because the images on the walls are clear and crisp. I like this place as much as Pepper Lunch in Milpitas, if not more. I will definitely be back to try their dessert and drinks. I would like to note that the«Restroom for Customer Use» sign hung near the entrance and at the bathroom door is a bit tacky and unnecessary. If someone was going to use the restroom, they would not adhere to the sign and pay the $ 2 fee as posted on the note. Therefore, I think it is best if removed completely.

Super Pan is? cuisine, noticed most dishes involve the use of a pan. offerings not my favorite kind of food. ramen? doubt it’s broth is boiled for hours, probably just a minute. offerings:teppan pasta, omlettes, ramen, steaks, hot pots, boba tea. brew: house milk tea.(3.95) 24oz? free topping, choose grass jelly, no added ice/sugar –tea premade, oolong tea was out –real milk used. bubble milk tea had nice taste, not as great as Sharetea way better than quicky’s take outs: –menu offers ½ price on beverages all day. not sure how it’s appied. eat in only? was charged full price…

Came here with a friend for dinner and the place was actually kind of empty but service was good. This is my actual first time eating teppanyaki so I can’t really compare this with any other place. Beef with curry: 2⁄5: this came on a hot plate with thin strips of beef, rice was in the middle topped with curry and pepper. It came with a side of curry sauce to pour over. I did mix the beef quickly to get it cooking and added sauce on top. I felt like it was underwhelming in terms of flavor. The sauce and pepper did not add much flavor. I wished it was more flavorful or there was more sauce. It was barely enough for the plate. Overall, if there was more sauce or seasoning it might make this better. Garlic fries: 2⁄5: it was decent. Fries were perfectly crispy but it lacked garlic and cheese. Actually there was no cheese. And small chunks of garlic. Would be better if they added a bit more garlic and some cheese. Lychee green tea: 2⁄5: it had a faint lychee flavor with tons of lychee bits. Loved the lychee bits but I felt like there wasn’t enough lychee flavor. I did try my friends garlic noodles with beef and the noodles tasted a bit off. Couldn’t put my finger on what kind of sauce was used. Maybe more seasoning would help? Not sure, but maybe when they work out some of the kinks we will try this place again. One thing that was good was they gave us complimentary ice cream at the end of the meal. Overall, this place has potential to be good but they need to work on recipes, seasoning and sauces. Total for 2: $ 40
