The cutest Chinese couple runs this mobile food stand. I don’t even know if Sunrise Catering is what they call themselves — that’s just what’s spray-​painted on the passenger-​side door.
Every morning, rain or shine, they are at Sansome, between Sutter & Bush, with their juices, sandwiches, top ramen, fruit, and I dunno what else, they’ve got so much jammed onto the shelves of their little truck.
I’ve never even bought anything from them. But I’ve come to look forward to greeting them every morning as I walk by their stand, and seeing them chat away with their customers. My day doesn’t start off right without them.
