The two women who work at this location are very friendly, helpful, and kind. I’ve come here quite a few times and been treated very nicely. However, lately there has been a young gentleman working there who is very inattentive at the front, and very rude. He does not smile, and when there is a female in line he likes he will drop whatever it is he is doing with another customer to prioritize them. He often rolls his eyes. As I said, he is inattentive at the front. You may hear him doing something around the corner and you know he can hear you calling out«Excuse me, are you open?» and will ignore you until he is completely annoyed. When I have tipped him several times, I have not once received a «Thank You». He puts it directly in his pocket. I tipped $ 10, and told him«$ 5 is for you and $ 5 is for the other lady». He ignored me and put it directly in his pocket. I approached her and explained I tipped her $ 5 before I left. She want very appreciative. I will never again tip this person. When he is working I am never guaranteed service. He may not just so happen to be in the front and be avoiding customers. When he is working it might as well be closed. As for the business itself. There is no restroom available for customers, the iced tea is either missing or out(almost always), there is often no ice, and sometimes some of the sodas don’t work.

This Subway isn’t spectacular by any means, but it deserves at least 4 stars when considering its location in the TL. Shop was clean and service was courteous.

I love the manager here. I have been a customer at this specific Subway for a few years now. Great service and welcoming to service animals as well!

Went in to get lunch to go. It seems as if a crackhead was crying with her shades on and was sitting on the back. She was sleeping cause I saw her head dipping down as I was inside the subway. Micoh was making my sandwich. I told him what I wanted. He mumbled something. I asked him to repeat. «Do you want it toasted?» No thank you. Veggies? So I tell him. I want this… He replies, «what else?» Ok… Mayo mustard please. He puts mustard on my sandwich. Mayo… Dribbles out. It seems as it was running out. Fine. As I noticed other subways do. They push the remainder of what’s left in the container to the tip to get the rest out. He gently pats the bottom and there I don’t get as much as I’d like to. I go to the register to pay and I ask for cool ranch chips. He seems clueless. As he doesn’t know what cool ranch is. He turns around and looks at the selection. I told him Doritos. He picks up the nacho cheese flavored one. No, the one next to it… He rings me up. I hand him my 20, as the register opens, he leans over to his left and talks to someone behind the wall. Probably his co worker. I couldn’t hear what was being said. Then I would expect him to hand me my coins first. $ 0.71 but he places $ 12 dollars on the table. Fans it out. Them places 71 cents on top of that. So I have to pick it up one by one along with the $ 12 dollars. Then pick up my sandwich and chips and the receipt. There were no napkins given to me and I wasn’t asked if I wanted a bag. Is this guy new? Overall, I felt as if I was not treated with any courtesy or professionalism. The location of this subway is in a bad area and it seems as if they’ll let anyone sit inside. Do go here. Go to the one on sutter street. At least they’re friendly. On a positive note, I’ll be taking the subway survey online and tell them that this place did not meet my standards and get the validation code so I can get a free cookie.

Lately I’ve found myself regrettably headed toward Civic Center which I try to avoid on business. Since I take the shortest route walking down from Nob Hill I sometimes pass this place. The neighborhood is not a tourist mecca nor anything San Francisco would want in one of those come and visit the happiest place on Earth — San Francisco Videos. I hate to bust anyones baloon but this place is a dump… One day I had skipped all of my meals and was hungry. In walking past this place my stomach texted my brain to stop over or suffer the consequences. I entered the dining area to see two homeless people camped in there sleeping with all of their junk with them, carts, packs rubble etc. I am not unsympethitic to the homeless but my brain texted my stomach you gotta wait this place is a problem. I did not relish eating my lunch in a homeless encampment inside this business. Decore says a lot about a business, if the bathroom looks as clean as the back door of an old MUNI bus it probably is not too clean regardless of the health departments score of 100 on the door. If a place looks like trouble you avoid it — from the looks of this place it is to be avoided. The thought of having them cater an event is truly comical to me… This was during an off peak time — I’m certain when the place is full at lunch on a weekday they move on the inhabitants so they can make money off of real customers but when I passed it looked like a relocation camp for those the Burger King a couple of blocks over on Van Ness tried to ban from their shop. If you have the time St. Anthony’s new dining room is cleaner and safer than this place and the meals are free!

Time: 7:43pm Purpose: Haven’t gotten a chance to eat anything since lunch time at work. Remember that during the month of December 6’in sub’s are $ 2ea. Ambiance: For this area you better be a tough guy or have couple of friends nearby. It’s a standard subway place with all the same set up as others. What makes this places different from others is it’s location right in the best of the TL very very sketchy. Staff: High school looking type that has more worries of what their friends will do and social media giving them entertainment once you enter you can tell you’ve disturb them from what they’re doing. Cleanliness: Industry standards and company procedures as follow. Eats: Meatball marinara $ 2.18 Products: Sandwiches, salad, soup, chips, drinks, combos, kids meals, cookies, giftcards. Punch Line: Lots of seedy adult bookstore for those who…, people watching especially the drunks, lots of action every minute something happens in area. Final Thoughts: It’s a sketchy area but as long as you’re head held high walking with a tough guy look you will never encounter a problem here. However once you step outside you will be offer drugs for sale or a hooker asking you looking for a date. Oh man I’m bouncing y’all take care!

Typical Subway, but I love the old man that works here! I can see how there might be a wait at some times, but he was so courteous and sweet. Next time I have another show at the Regency and want a quick cheap stomach filler, I will come here.

Nothing special about this place… It’s just another Subways. They are friendly nd I don’t have to wait really long to get my sandwich, which is really nice/good. I come here usually when I’m craving a sandwich nd am nearby. There are two nearby Subways but this one is much closer to Quick’s then tha Larkin/Goldengate one(which has Buffalo Sauce! :]) I usually get tha buffalo chicken with wheat bread toasted with any white cheese nd lettuce, tomato, onions nd CHIPOTLE sauce(introduced to me by Lisa ! Love her nd tha sauce). But today i got tha spicy italian which was delicious. It was just right, filled me up but not too FULL. I would recommend this place if you’re nearby nd lazy otherwise i’d say go to tha Larkin/Goldengate one.

Always fast friendly service. Pretty clean and its like a little cove off of a busy street. Love ducking in and having a nice lunch or snack. Could be a really nasty place considering the location but its not… with that being said this Subway gets two thumbs up from this Guy :)

It’s Pride and I’m hungry. That was pretty much my mantra all day Sunday at the Pride festivities this past weekend. I was in a perpetual state of hunger(and excitement). JHF and I walked around the booths and for some reason decided… «Eh, screw it, let’s just share a sub». Why? I have no idea. We got a roast beef sammich with all the fixin’s from the super duper«helpful» employee(who for the life of him, couldn’t retain our order in his head longer than 1.2 seconds at a time). We took our lunch back to the API green room and were supremely disappointed at the quality and taste of our meal. We shouldn’t have been surprised, but whatcha gonna do? When you hungry… you hungry. And sometimes you make bad decisions. Kinda like when you’re drunk. I have no idea what that had to do with my Subway review… but I suppose in a drunken stupor this place might actually taste good. Weirder things have happened in the Tenderloin I’m sure!

I like this Subway. A lot of the subs at this Subway are pretty good. I highly recommend their Tuna sandwiches. I love tuna sandwiches and their Tuna sandwiches are pretty good. I also recommend that you get swiss cheese on the tuna sandwich. It tastes hecka good. Their meatball marinara sandwiches, and even their turkey sandwiches are pretty good as well. The only thing that sucks about this Subway is that it’s always crowded, especially if you come during lunch time and you are in a rush to eat lunch. You are guaranteed to be waiting in line for at least 5 – 10 min. I like how they remodeled this Subway as well. It used to look kind of boring inside and it was always too hot, even on cold days. On cold days, you wish they had the AC on in that place. lol. It’s not as hot inside ever since they remodeled this Subway and the inside of this Subway looks way better than it did before. It looks more like a restaurant in some ways. All-in-all, this Subway isn’t too bad.

i’ve been coming here alot lately for the $ 5 subs deal. they recently remodeled this place, new tables, new décor, and a new A/C system! In the old place, their A/C was busted and with the oven in the back baking bread, it got hot as hell in the dining area. the two girls are cool, but the one chinese dude in there is shady with the meat/other stuff.

As a former subway employee, I can always distinguish the details that make or break a quality subway sandwich. Some very important things for me are bread quality(wether or not it was squished while getting wrapped up, how flaky the outside is [which, fyi means it’s more than a day old], softness, and volume), meat quality which is basically how long the meat has been in the sandwich unit, and the cleanliness of the sandwich unit which can contribute to or prevent unwanted ingredients such as hot peppers ending up in your sandwich. Any of these things being off completely ruins a sandwich for me. You can call me picky if you want, but if you made yourself a sub five days a week for a year, you’d be picky too. Every time I have visited this location, none of these markers of quality were present. The sandwiches were a complete letdown. That alone merits a one-star rating, in my opinion, because I’ve been here about six times. That’s not chance, folks, that’s a shotty restaurant. But, they take it a step further and get pissed off every time i ask for extra this or just a little of that. Excuse me, but if I wanted an identical sandwich to every other person in the country, I’d go to quizno’s. Boo.

Ok, it’s a Subway so this review is basically comparing it to other Subways I’ve been in. Pro: The place was dead so there wasn’t any waiting. Cons: The place was grimy, there was a tall bucket containing god knows what on the counter, and there were little flecks of lettuce here, there and everywhere. The server seemed really inconvenienced by my presence and hurriedly threw together my sandwich. No public restroom. Hardly any seating. I was harrassed by a begger while trying to enjoy my sandwich. And I was sitting at a table all the way in the back!
