For the first time i got the best haircut. Eugene is the best in the city.

Eugene has been cutting my hair for 30 years. I am obviously a most satisfied client of his. He both colors and cuts my hair every 5 – 6 weeks. Eugene is certainly a pro and has made sure that my hairstyle remains up-​to-​date and natural looking over the years. I book appointments via email, and phone when necessary. Eugene is also a great conversationalist, and is a fabulous source of useful information, too. Go see him!

More people need to know about Studio Eugene. I had the pleasure of meeting Eugene at the bank I work at. He frequents in and sparks up conversation about baseball, life, and his experiences in the city, that I personally enjoy. When he told me that he had his own studio there was no hesitation and I set an appointment the next day. Now for the best part, the haricut! I was throughouly impressed with his precise work and friendly conversation.
I will be spreading the word about Eugene to my friends and family — as should you.

Once I found Studio Eugene, I never had to worry about getting anything less than a perfect haircut and beard trim. After I get my haircut at Studio Eugene people look at me like I’m someone special. I realize they are reacting to the wonderful haircut and trim. Great location and clean salon. Very comfortable space and good conversation from Mr. Eugene. I hope he never retires because I have never been so happy with my haircuts.

When I first moved to SF, I couldn’t find a decent place for a haircut. The hard thing about finding a stylist is that you can’t try everyday — unless your hair grows really really fast! After a couple bad haircuts from people claiming to be hair stylists, I met Eugene.
Eugene the guy: Eugene has experienced all this world has to offer. Time flies as he tells stories about backpacking from Europe to Afgahnistan (before the area became unsafe, of course), on-​goings in San Francisco, or giving recommendations of the latest and greatest restaurants in San Francisco (or New York City!).
Eugene the professional hair stylist: He spends a full hour cutting, washing, and styling. His Pacific Heights Hair Styling Studio is sparkling clean and modern, with a touch of Victorian charm. The walls are decorated with his latest photos or art acquisitions. That Greek mosaic photo — yep, he actually took that photo! He charges me $ 50 for a haircut, though I’m pretty sure he gives me a veteran client discount (the price hasn’t changed since I started going to him in 2007). Oh, and he has always been flexible with scheduling appointments, which is huge because I’m a poor haircut planner!
What I’m trying to say is that this guy is legit. I look forward to every appointment!

Eugene is fantastic– knowledgeable, talented, and groovy – everything you want in a hair stylist. It is a great experience to get your cuts by Eugene. He can tell you what is in your hair products, what would be the best style for your facial structure, and what are the best restaurants in your neighborhood. Absolutely wonderful.

I received my advanced training as an assistant under Eugene a little over 25 years ago (I started really young), at a premier salon called Jerry Short in down town SF.
Eugene has always been and always will be one of my favorite hair stylist’s in the industry.
Not only is he an artist with his craft, he is welcoming and a hilarious conversationalist. You will feel great for the rest of the day thinking about your short time spent with Eugene even if it is your first visit to see him.
Since that time, I have owned 2 salons of my own and I am always on the lookout for his kind of talent to work with but alas there are not many like him.
You will not be disappointed if you are able to get an appointment.

One of the worst things about moving to a new city is finding a new hair stylist. I mean, if you just want to get your hair done at Supercuts… well that’s your choice. I was so lucky that when I moved here 10 years ago, someone recommended Eugene, and I’ve been a loyal client all these years. At Studio Eugene, you have your own private enclave where Eugene performs his magic. No sharing space with other gossipy hair stylists and having to listen to other customer’s whining personal problems. At Studio Eugene, you are the one and only customer. He has a friendly demeanor and can regale you with stories from his trips around the world or listen to you give a critique of your most recent dining experience. Eugene is a San Francisco hair styling legend… and one of the best kept secrets in this city!

I’m going to let you all in in a little secret:
Eugene is so fabulous, so wonderful and so good with hair…
My guess is that he has probably 30 years experience with hair — and I’m not talking about just working in a just some ol’ hair shop over the years. He’s been trained personally by some of the top hair designers in the biz and used to work in LA and do the movie stars — ask him about those days and you are gonna laugh your ass off…
And it’s not just that he can get your color *perfect* and give you a heavenly scalp massage — his cuts are really worth it because they grow out so well — not just those things — the thing about Eugene is that he can also tell you about food and the best restaurants in town… so you can plan your next dining experience while in his studio. It’s like multi-​tasking!
Eugene is a real pro — a classic — he must be doing some celebrities here in town too because he’s got this private little studio inside of one of the most exclusive buildings on Sacramento Street. That’s the secret… so when you are sitting with your color processing, you have complete and total privacy, which is think is cool since I can always use the down-​time.
Since I was so happy with how he does my hair, I just had to talk about it. I’ve sent a couple of my friends to him and they were also very pleased. I just love Eugene!
