Good delivery, tasty food, as spicy as you want it! I usually get chicken tikka masala and it’s a good version of the classic. I also recommend Daal and Channa Saag.

Excellent for takeout. I live right across the street so this is a very convenient spot for me when I crave Indian food. The food is authentic and delicious(this is coming from someone who grew up in Cupertino and LOVES Indian food). Would not recommend the interior as it is not a very«sit down for dinner» ambiance.

I’m an Indian who just moved to SF four months ago and this place is bloody awesome! Everything else is meaningless!

Had guests over and send online order at 5:16pm on a Sunday. They promise one hour delivery. After an hour and 15 minutes we called the first time and was told that our food would be there in «ten minutes». 15 minutes later we called them again, and was again told«ten minutes». One hour and 45 minutes after the initial order was given we called for the third time and at the same time the driver arrived at 7:01pm. The food was fine, but they need to get their logistics and customer service figured out. Delays can happen but then you need to inform your customers about it and not tell them«ten minutes» when it is actually half an hour.

I’m really very disappointed with spicy bite. I ordered delivery last night and it was quick. That’s about the only good thing I have to say. I order 2 aloo mattar, two chicken tikka masala, and a spinach paneer along with a garlic naan and some chai. Didn’t get any of the chicken so I can’t review it(jerk roomies) but the aloo mattar were bland and tasteless and the paneer was awful. There was a deep layer of grease on the top, it was soupy and the paneer hadn’t been fried/sauteed beforehand so the consistency was like bland, raw tofu. The spices were off and it was just unappetizing. I also asked for one of each of the veggie options to be spicy. Couldn’t tell which one that was by taste at all. The naan was stretchy and tough. You could tell it was old. I’ve had spicy bite before in restaurant, and it was decent. I don’t know what happened last night, but for over $ 70, I expect more than that. Not coming back.

Unbelievable delivery fail. Placed online order for delivery. Received food 2 hours later. Had to call twice, otherwise would have received no notice. Never again.

I changed this to 5 stars because when I thought about it, I couldn’t find any reason to take away a star. I think when I wrote the review, I was still comparing it to my other favorite Indian restaurant, but they’ve closed, so now Spicy Bite gets the 5 stars

Jesus Spicy Bite, I never thought this would happen. We just had the worst delivery experience EVER. After waiting an hour and a half for our food, it finally came, and guess what? It was LUKEWARM(no, COLD actually!!) soggy, and dry. To top it off, the delivery driver was terrible, he wouldn’t even come up all the stairs to give me my food, and I was barefoot, so I had to lean down to give him a tip before he would even hand me my bag(which I also had to strain to reach). At least if I had gone to the restaurant myself, maybe the food would have been hot, and I wouldn’t have had to reach down the stairs to a limp hand to get what I paid for. Suuuuuuuuper disappointing experience. Disappointing for sure. There are a lot of other restaurants we could have(and will) order from next time.

Wow the flavors here are fantastic. The chicken vindaloo made my scalp tingle. That’s a good thing. I normally go across the street to Zante but I really like the saffron rice and naan here much better. The samosa was very spicy and fresh and equally good as Zante. I’ll update on my imminent future visits!

Rude, rude, rude. Service without a smile, food was practically thrown in my face without an apology. the next day I woke up with food poisoning! I highly suggest you go elsewhere

Ordered delivery. It came fast and the food was hot. Everything was awesome. Spicy means, spicy — so I might order medium next time. Ordered veggie samosas, garlic naan, lamb vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, and aloo gobi. Loved everything! Plus they catered to all my special little requests like veggies in the chicken tikka and extra mint and tamarind sauce without charging me extra. Will be ordering from them often.

Drink 4 Food 5+++ The best of the best tikka masala and vindaloo in SF! This indian restaurant should be more popular. Ambiance 2 At least it is clean though, weird statue, lame fake plants… maybe that’s why not so popular. Service 3 They might have no-smile policy. Price 5

This place is amazing. It’s totally a janky(but clean) hole in the wall. It’s not remotely fancy. But it’s some of the best indian food I’ve ever had. The balance of spices is amazing, the ingredients are fresh, and their prices are completely reasonable. They usually deliver in less time than they quote me. My one and only gripe is that they’re not open for lunch. Sad. I’d have ordered from them today in fact.

SOOOOOGOOOOOOD!!! I usually do not like Indian food, because it messes up my stomach pretty bad(go figure right?) I thought I would give this place a try based on the recommendations I saw on Unilocal.I tried the tikka masala, the saffron rice, and added some naan. All I can say is «wow» The portions are small for the price you pay, but I always end up with leftovers. It tastes so good! This is my new hub for Indian food, for sure.

Spicy bite has emerged as our go-to spot for Indian food. My friend bhavneet suggested it. With a name like bhavneet, best believe he knows Indian food. Everything I’ve had here is bomb. Get the Naan sampler!

Good food. Our goto place when we are too tired to cook. Never disappoints except for a couple of delivery delay instances. Otherwise fantastic food. The customer service needs a little shake though.

Prompt delivery for a Friday night. Had the chicken tikki masala«mild» which had a kick, if I ever order again I will def step the spiciness level up a notch. The naan was delicious and their servings are good sized.

This place has mad vegetarian options, which I really appreciate. Their pakoras are crispy and amazing. Yummy dipping sauces. Everything is very reasonably priced(especially for SF) They have the *BEST* vegetable korma in the city. Hands down. Fucking creamy and delicious. Seeing is believing(tasting I guess in this case.) Nice that it’s never crowded… not sure why since their food is awesome. Maybe cuz the surrounding area’s a bit grungy? But anyway that means that it’s nice and quiet, you never have to wait to be seated and it makes me want to go back to make sure they stay in business.

Unfortunately, all the great indian restaurants are mostly in Tenderloin or Mission area. We didn’t want to drive out there on a Friday night. Found this place and it’s a better drive for us. Walked in and place was empty so we got seated right away. It was a Friday night but it was rainy and cold night. I noticed there were doing a lot of deliveries. Service was good. Food came quick, but not super quick. We usually get basmati rice, naan, lamb and chicken, one of them curry and one masala. It was good and flavorful. Our fault but mild didn’t have any heat at all. I should’ve asked if their heat level was American or Indian palette. So next time I“m gonna get medium heat. It’s a place we’ll be coming back to when don’t wanna drive too much into the city.
