The annual Holiday windows are a great place to check out adoptable pets! Cats, kittens and puppies galore! The artfully designed windows are colorful and great for photos. Come by and take a peek. Your next warm buddy might be staring at you in the face… from the SFSPCA Holiday windows!

I got my cats(brother & sister) from here. They are the most friendly, loving, well-adjusted cats I’ve ever met. And I fell madly in love with them when we met at Macy’s, holiday season of 2008. Thank you to both the SPCA& Macy’s for bringing our lives together.

I guess the message behind this is good. But I was never a fan of displaying animals at high end store windows.

Such a cool idea to raise awareness about a great organization and to help many special animals find good homes. I had the pleasure of volunteering at the holiday windows during the 2011 holiday season and had an absolute blast. The shift was for two hours, and you simply chose a window, held a box for financial donations and talked up the animal whose window you chose in hopes of finding that cute puppy or kitty in the window a forever home. This is a high-demand volunteer opportunity, so be sure to sign up for a shift quickly once they release the call for volunteers in November!

This is my 4th year in a row visiting the Macy’s SPCA Holiday Windows. I’d like to give Macy’s props for supporting such a worthwhile cause and for showcasing these kitties and puppies needing a home. The displays are always entertaining and fun to see, while also maintaining a decent size place space for the animals. I love seeing the«Pending Adoption» signs in the window. On this year’s visit most of the kitties were sound asleep but still fun to see. It’s very tiring having all that attention all day! The volunteers standing by are friendly or helpful. I already have two older cats at home, so no more for me, right now. However, if I had room in my home, I would support the SPCA and adopt here. The windows are also a good reminder to visit the SPCA at other times of the year to adopt and that they are out there as an organization to support. Thanks Macy’s for keeping this display alive every year and thanks SPCA for doing an amazing job with all your holiday adoptions!

We had a great experience adopting from the SPCA Macy’s Holiday Windows! We wanted to find another kitty that was energetic like our one year old Simba who we adopted from the SPCA shelter a year ago. DJ(staff) was knowledgable about how to add another cat to the family. In the window we found«Rufus» renamed to Koda Bear, it was love at first sight! We played with him for about an hour and was ready to take him home. The adoption process was easy and quick. So far it has been entertaining watching Simba and Koda play! ***Sadly we had to re-home Koda Bear in March due to my better half developing severe asthma and my lil sister developing allergies. It was heartbreaking for all of us, however he found a family with a little girl. I hope he is doing well and we all miss Koda Bear very much!

Really cool partnership between the SPCA and Macy’s where animals from the SPCA are given spaces in the Macy’s holiday window display. The goal is obviously to encourage adoptions from the shelter and also raise money for the care of these and other animals at the SPCA. The animals they send are of course super cute and they have volunteers on hand to answer questions about adoptions, etc. I only wish you could play with the animals instead of just watching them play. :)
