This review is based purely on Dr. Shamash. He is a knowledgeable and kind doctor who always makes me feel well cared for and comfortable. I have been going to him for years– he is a trusted practitioner within my family. Both my siblings and parents (who are very particular with their physicians) couldn’t be more satisfied.

I went to Dr. Shamash once after picking him blindly from my HMO choices and got misdiagnosed with allergies when in fact I had bronchitis. He prescribed Claritin which did nothing, and as my cough worsened I called back and was advised to take Robitussin. Finally I requested he refer me to an allergist who diagnosed the bronchitis and got me on antibiotics, but by then it had really settled into my lungs. Not a good start!
