Great choices, flavor and lunch deals, generous folks too. Fast kitchen, you wont have to wait long. Only drawback is some difficulty being understood over the phone. Otherwise, a good spot.

Love that this place is so close to work and super cheap! Really enjoyed the chef’s special chicken– great if you like crispy chicken!

Great food. Very clean and fresh. They were very generous and gave us a good portion of our meal for free :)

We ordered from this restaurant through seamless. Not only they messed up the order(we ordered wonton soup but instead got sweet and sour soup) but also the food was downright disgusting. Their soup was the worst thing I have ever tasted, I almost threw up. When we called the restaurant it was very hard to communicate with the lady. She simply didn’t understand English. And do not trust that what they advertise as a vegetarian dish(eggplant) will be vegetarian. Mine had chicken, beef and shrimp in it. Will never ever order from this restaurant again. Stay away.

The food here is amazing. We have many favorites. We usually get takeout and love the free treats they surprise us with when we open the bag — usually egg rolls or rangoons that are delicious. Very kid friendly :-)

WORST chinese food I’ve ever had. Do not waste your time and money. Ordered using Eat24. The order took 95 minutes to be delivered. And after all that waiting, my order was wrong! As you can guess, it was cold and the fried items were soggy and chewy instead of crunchy. There was no flavor in the mystery pork thing they sent me instead of the chicken I wanted. The chow mein had flavor, all thanks to heavy oyster sauce. Vegetables were not fresh and I question the meat quality. When I told Eat24 about this, I got a live chat person who could only console me with sad face emoticons and unprofessional abbreviations like OMG. No solutions were suggested. They are almost as bad as SF Oceanic.

Time: 2:07pm/61°F cloudy Purpose: Traffic on Potrero was being diverted due to road work. I decide to be different went around it. Out of the blues, I didn’t expect a restaurant in this area at all. Ambiance: This place is so nondescript. Located in the middle of block surrounded by large warehouse and showrooms. Walking up the flight of stairs was questionable already. There’s no fluorescent paper touting daily specials or bright lights. Bottom half of restaurant nothing more than a 16 seater. There’s another staircase leading to upper floor, didn’t ask not sure if it’s related to restaurant. Later I found out it was part of their place. Another venue for larger partys and special occasions. Dining floor downstair with double sliding beverage fridge, cashier counter, all glass top tables w/condiments, back area links up to jewelry shops, swinging door to kitchen finish it off. It really feels like place was jam in there, as arch building structure protruding out towards patrons tables. Weird, but what ever fits in. Get this mickey mouse mounted pictures? Staff: One girl about early 30s, walks me to my table. Utensils, water, menu given without asking. Brought out complimentary egg roll and tofu soup instantly. Within minutes out comes my dish. Fast and efficient knows her way around the place. She seems to be the one in charge as the kitchen had to ask her permission to do things. Spoke may be less than 50 words during my time there. Didn’t talk much or ask questions as didn’t needed to everything was self explanatory. Cleanliness: Grade B-, some tables had the staff personal belongings on it. I understand its a small place with limited space. For a customer to ask if they can sit there? All seems bothersome to them. Best bet is to designate a area devoted for that purpose and you’ll be fine. Eats/Drinks: Went with the luncheon special #34 asparagus with salmon over brown rice $ 7.95. Dish comes with soup and egg roll for dine in only. Salmon pieces were nicely seared with strands sliding off each other. Asparagus seems to be undercooked or stalks hasn’t reach full maturity yet. The blackbean sauce was gloppy, too much cornstarch. Had to separate it myself making sure rice don’t get drenched with it. Complimentary egg roll and soup was industry standards(veggie rolls). There was slight use of msg hidden, thirsty and cured tongue after. Main Features: Kung pao prawns, egg fu young, HK style crispy noodle, Oceanic fried rice. Product/Services: Apps, soup, chicken, seafood, beef, pork, vegetable, rice & noodles, desserts, assorted cold beverages, wine/beer. Takes plastic, wine corkage $ 6 per bottle, gift cards, party platter/catering, free dessert or app with $ 25+, free delivery(minimum $ 15/2.5miles), online ordering( ). Punch Lines: Close-together table, seats are minimal(downstairs), easy night out, budget watchers, imaginable toppings, calm vibe, snooty service, lackluster ambiance, zippy service, nothing out of the ordinary, industrial interior, a la carte, wine/beer, satisfactory, street parking non meter, within minutes of freeway. Tradeoffs: Luncheon specials are smaller portions so, the complimentary egg roll and soup makes up for it. You’re thinking its a bargain, but you’ve actually have pay into it already, included in price. Final Thoughts: Speaking for lunch time services only. This was the first time that I actually walk in and left a place with less than 50 words said. It just feels like a dive sitting there. Energy for the place feels drained. With workers coming out from the kitchen talking to themselves. Some seems like coming out of retirement just to stay active, but feeling bad. They have an elderly woman set up using a table doing egg rolls. All in plain view of everyone eating at the time. Mediocre food with no care or regards to customers request is what you get here. Good for nearby Chinese cravings thats fast and zippy. Forget about extravaganza and waiters in collar shirts/vest, not happening here. Get in there, eat and go! Their San Mateo location fares better in all aspects.

The food was great, had the orange chicken(which you can pick how spicy you want) and the veggie chow mien. Delivery was fast and they even put in two extra veggie egg rolls on the house, which made me feel horrible because I forgot to tip them. Will definitely go back and will remember to leave a tip next time!

The health score is what it is for a reason. I used to be a frequent pick up customer, but I doubt I’ll repeat after what I have seen last time. The free rolls you get with your order are rolled on the very tables they serve food to customers to. No covering or no hygiene considerations. The person making the rolls had no gloves on and never once washed her hands in between the frequent breaks she took to do other things. Also, I agree on the grease comments. The sauce integrity is never the same, it is quite random and generally very greasy. I think I’ll wait for a very good health score before returning if at all. Other than that I think their food is OK. :)

Filthy dirty greasy dusty… and greasy dust… makes one question the hygiene of the management. Nasty… …but the server was nice. Make one appreciate Henry’s Hunan even more…

This place is amazing. My co-workers and I come almost once a week. Even though we could get the lunch special, I usually opt to getting the regular portions and splitting it into two meals. I’m a huge fan of the Oceanic’s spicy eggplant. Since I’m allergic to red bell peppers, they always are super accommodating and make mine with extra green peppers to sub out the red! One time when we ate there, instead of taking it to-go, the waitress let me make it a lunch special since everyone else was getting lunch specials. I really appreciate the fact that they let you choose brown or white rice when ordering a lunch special without any up charge. Because let’s be real, the cost of rice; brown or white, is really not that big of a difference. If you do order from them, I’ve always had good luck calling ahead and picking it up about 20 mins later. Even though they’re a little brash on the phone, the staff is always super friendly when I get there and my food is always hot. They may seem a little rude on the phone because they get phone calls all day and want to get orders in as quickly as possible. I’ve read reviews that people are ordering through various apps(mostly seamless) and waiting for it to get delivered. THATSWHYYOURFOODISCOLD. It has to be made, picked up, and brought to you. If you can go in and pick up your food, it’s going to be hot. Just be on time with how long they say it’ll take.

POSSIBLEFOODPOISONING. At least four people got sick when buying food/drinks at the Breakfast of Champions event in New Year’s Day. It’s always hard to pinpoint food poisoning causes, but this place was the only commonality. Beware!

My only experience with the restaurant has been on New Years day, when their business gets enclosed next to the club Mighty for a day party. They sell beers, waters, and food to the party-goers, and they are incredibly warm and friendly people. I ordered a beer and two waters but a bill must have fallen out of my purse while wading through the crowd, so I was short and couldn’t pay the full amount. The gentleman said it was OK, so I just took the beer and thanked him. As I was leaving, he said Miss, you may have the waters too! It’s little acts of kindness that make the world a little better, and I wanted to write a review to express my gratitude.

My late night Chinese delivery order place. Quick prompt delivery for the«ghetto» Chinese food delivery that I just crave when the moon does its thing to my body haha. Seriously though, don’t expect gourmet but Oceanic does what they do and serves a purpose. Plus like everyone says here you get a free app on the house which is great. Where have the Asian food services gone with offering some real«service» food for being a loyal customer. Thanks Oceanic for being what you are, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Get the standards here that the masses would enjoy a la Panda Express style(orange chicken, General Tso’s, etc).

I was a little hesitant to order for delivery because the wait time is up to 75 mins but I’m glad I ordered! The food arrived within 35 mins and it was good! I ordered the Mongolian beef and the chicken chow mien. Both were nice portions and were full of flavor. Plus they came with complimentary egg rolls. I’ll definitely be ordering again

Delivery has gotten better, but they still aren’t the most pleasant on the phone. They still sometimes mess up my orders, but the quality of food is still some of my favorite in town. I guess you put up with some problems if the food is good(when it is delivered on time).

Until today, I was kind of an «Oceanic hater.» As an adventurous eater, my inability to find anything I loved on their(massive) lunch menu bummed me out. I love duck, or curry, or scallops, or spicy stuff or, usually, just about anything restaurant staff recommends. But none were winners here. What I should have done was obediently follow my three coworkers, who always(and I mean always) get the same thing here for lunch: COMBINATIONCHOWMEIN, SPICY. I had it today for the first time, and um, yeah, it was amazeballs: tasty gooey deliciousness with particularly moist flavorful beef.(I’ll try beef chow mein spicy next time.) Oh right, and they give you super awesome free egg rolls, egg drop soup, and tea.(These three things are better than most of their entrees!) And it’s insanely cheap, e.g. $ 8 for all that. Do it.

Great people. Always friendly, fast and accommodating to special requests. Never tried take out, which usually is never as good as eating inside the restaurant. All I know is they crank out my lunch in less than 10 minutes! Eggplant, basil chicken and sesame chicken are my faves. Me likey
