The tough economy finally caught up with location #3 of this pricey«organic & sustainable» lunch spot. It’s CLOSED. First of all, high prices are not sustainable, and in a real seller’s market demand outstrips supply. There wasn’t enough demand here. I was not sold on their marketing about being more nutritious. Café Madeleine a block away on O’Farrell has better sandwiches. And u can get better salads at Boxed Foods Co. on Kearny. Both give u better value for your money than SM. Also not an ideal location, that segment of the street has less foot traffic. Probably it didn’t help that they were surrounded by cheaper dining options. And they couldn’t compete with nearby promotions like Del Taco’s under 99 cents menu, 39 cents taco Tuesdays, etc.

Great lunch place if you work in downtown SF. I’ve been here a few times and am consistently pleased with my ordering choices. Fresh(massive) salads(my favorite is the ahi tuna), delicious mac and cheese and nicely crafted sandwiches all around $ 10. Nice outdoor seating makes the lunchtime crunch more of an escape also. Definitely would recommend for a quick, casual lunch.

I’ve only ever had the breakfast burrito, but that is because I love it oh so much. Its cheap, its huge, the salsa is bomb and its made in a jiffy. And like I said, huge, so as a dainty little lady I manage to get lunch and a 4pm snack out of that bad boy. Yum!

This place became our hang out before and after the SF Giants World Series Parade! $ 5 beers and the owner let anyone and everyone stand on their chairs/sofas at their own risk during the parade just to see a glimpse of their heroes through an ocean of arms holding up electronic devices to take photos and videos? Niiice. Their french fries are yummy! They come in a cute little tin can in all its freshness, crispiness, saltiness glory :) It became our go-to snack while drinking beers. Although I didn’t get to try anything else on the menu that day, I hope to come back another time to try a sandwich, salad, wrap, or soup… or a breakfast item! They’ve also got some delicious-looking desserts, too. So, for now, I give them an A-Ok… only because I have yet to try more of their food :). Until my review update, Sellers Market…

Office days are good days because they sometimes start out with a breakfast burrito from Sellers. Even if it’s not a hole-in-the-wall Mexican spot, it’s a hands down respectable eggy delight. Just imagine chopped up bits of house-made chorizo mixed in with fluffy and flavor packed cage-free eggs, roasted potatoes and cotija cheese. Then take all that edible succulence and pack it into a chewy flour tortila and wrap the baby up in the proverbial burrito foil. Sounds good, right?! So good! Then you can dip your treat into the fire roasted tomato salsa. Not to spicy, not too sweet. How much would you pay? How about under $ 5. Burrito bonanza.

Having ordered a couple different salads here, I am extremely unimpressed, and slightly pissed off. Not only is the pricing ridiculous, but the salads are totally wimpy. I would hardly pay $ 6 for this. If the salad says«tomatoes» as a topping, expect a single slice. If it says sprouts, expect maybe four to five. I could make a bigger salad deconstructing a $ 2.50 Subway sandwich. I also think the table layout inside is a little awkward, but not too crowded, or anything. Aside from that, the employees are always really nice, so Seller’s has got that going for them. I hear the rest of their menu is pretty yummy, so I give an extra star for that. Just know that this establishment, despite being«sustainable»(props) is *not* bunny-friendly.

Where to go when you’re starvin’ marvin for a good, fresh and organic breakfast? Seller’s Market, of course. Being that Unilocal HQ is right around the corner, it makes for a quick stop on the way into the office when I’m in town. Yay for not having to walk very far! Because in Texas, we don’t walk. We drive. And that’s probably why we’re a fat state. I’m totally head over heels for their breakfast sandwiches, with the ham and cheese being my favorite. Everything is made fresh to order and you can see them preparing your foods which makes me feel better. On my last trip in town, I ventured outside the norm and got a scramble. It was pricey, but worth every penny. They didn’t skimp on the ingredients and it was chock-full of flavor. If I hadn’t noticed the awful Jäger stain on my purse from the night before, it would have been a perfect breakfast.(See my Anthony’s review) Sit on their patio and watch the public works peeps«clean» up litter(read: casually walk and make jokes with one another, occasionally picking up trash), or inside if street noise bugs you.

We were trying to find a quick relatively healthy lunch spot today — to catch up. Lunch time downtown — especially on a nice day — can be pure chaos. This was one of those days. Everything had a line. A wait. And so — running out of options — we saw Sellers Market and went for it. When it comes to nutritious choices — Sellers Market has a pretty diverse and decent selection. Their stuff isn’t exactly cheap — but you’re also paying for fresh organic food — which isn’t cheap in general. I opted for an already made rice, feta, and olive dish — while my dining partners went for the Cobb salad and the chicken pesto sandwich and side salad. The meal went down well — for all of us, and being that this location is fairly hidden on Market street — we had no wait, plenty of room to sit, and the service was super friendly too. I’ll probably have to try more of the menu here before making this a regular lunch spot — but if you’re in a rush and need a solid meal for the day — Sellers delivers.

Quick, convenient with a diverse menu, it’s a lunch go-to that I respect for advocating sustainable agriculture. From deep salads, creative sandwiches and a respectable burger, Sellers provides taste with an appreciation to the lunch time hustle. While at times it’s hard to discern the difference in taste with fresh local products, it’s evident here. The only gripe I have about the sandwiches is the bread. Bland, lacking identity, the buffalo chicken sandwich and others could be a knockout if served on a more flavorful roll rather than the stale loafs they live in now. Price wise on the higher end for lunch, but their passion for maintaining their relationship with local farmers and farms correlates with their dollar signs. Fresh food, fast service and a friendly staff has allowed Sellers to blossom downtown.

There are more quick breakfast/lunch joints in-and-around SOMA/FiDi than you can shake a Polaroid picture at, so grabbing a bite during the week is always met with so many choices for one Ruggeford H. Joesten III. Do I hit Starbucks for a one-two breakfast sandwich and coffee combo? Soup Freaks for something on the healthy tip after checking e-mails? Mixd Greens for expensive ass salads the size of a PT Cruiser? I’m torn! Well, sometimes I go the indie Egg McMuffin route and swoop into Sellers Market. Their breakfast is typically on point, with my go-to being the bacon egg and cheese muffin. Where it differs from other in-and-out breakfast joints is that they cook their eggs in real time. Nothing has been sitting under a heat lamp, and you won’t find stuff that’s been pre-packaged the night before. Instead, huevos are freshly cracked and fried, and bacon is made to order. Plus, they have softer buns than an entire gaggle of soccer moms at a Harlequin convention. Nice and squishy. Lunch is always solid as well, with a plethora of nice tasting sandwiches and salads. Sometimes the leafy greens are drenched in oil, which is a turn off. But by-and-large, they don’t disappoint.

Great concept, poor execution. The menu looks amazing, but don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Do you really need to use a buzzer to page me when my food’s ready so I can come and fetch it when the staff are just standing around because the place is empty?(Hey counter guy, thanks for pointing out where the cold butter is so I can put it on my cold toast myself.) Is there any point in using organic ingredients when they aren’t even made-to-order — as my served-lukewarm«rosemary potatoes» clearly weren’t? $ 7.34 for a scramble with sausage and sharp cheddar, served lukewarm and largely unappetizing. And I’m still hungry. It’s cool that they’re apparently using premium ingredients, but what’s the point when it’s run no better than a fast food restaurant? It’s a pricey, organic Del Taco.

There’s been a promotion that’s basically«buy one get one free» if you bring a friend. It’s the only reason I actually stopped by(I work next door). The prices are a bit silly considering the«deliciousness» of the food. If i paid regular price. $ 10 for a half sandwich half mini soup. I wouldn’t be pleased, but at half the price. it’s my go to when it’s rainy outside and I can’t be bothered walking more than a few steps. The set up is a bit ridiculous. you can’t actually get past the people in line after you order your food. a bit annoying. The food also takes AGES to come out. C’mon folks, it’s lunchtime… gotta keep things moving. or maybe I’m just impatient. If your company gets the BOGO offer, do it. its through the end of the month. Otherwise. you might as well walk on by…

Me: Where do you want to go for lunch? My co-worker Daemon: Somewhere fast and not gross Seller’s Market met the requirements. We both ordered the Artisan Pesto Free-Range Chicken sandwich. Pulled rotisserie chicken sounds way better than what we got. What we got was a chicken salad sandwich. It wasn’t BAD chicken salad, It was fast, and not gross. It was also almost $ 13 each for an okay sandwich, a side of greens, and a soda. Next time I’ll have to try ordering something better.

I like eye candy. Better than I like real candy. Ok, that’s a toss up. They have both kinds at Seller’s Markets. I only indulged in the eye variety. Damn! They have some counter staff that made me wish I was at a peep show and not a sustainable and slightly overpriced lunch spot. For the price I paid for my cobb salad and diet coke(resisted cupcake to avoid seratonin overload), I really think I should have gotten a back rub and some sweet nothings whispered in my ear… Since none of the above happened(until I got back to my office and drifted off to dream land, belly full of wholesome deliciousness), I have to say the lunch items are about $ 1-$ 2 overprieced a piece. Money aside, my salad was delish. Boy’s club sandwich($ 8.95) was nearly non-existent and not so tasty and the chicken tortilla soup was apparently robbed of all tortilla goodness prior to being packaged up to go. Still, the interior is charming and far nicer than most fidi lunch spots. After 1 p.m. there is nearly no wait whatsoever. The menu is vast and runs the gammut from breakfast to lunch to take-it-home-and-pretend-you-made-it-yourself-for-dinner. Also… did I mention my newest lunch crush? I’m going to watch«500 days of Summer» asap just so I have something to chat him up about next time I overpay for a lunch I’ll still be hungry after. Sorry, boyfriend– you snooze you lose. But I still love you more.

I enjoyed my English Muffin Egg Ham sandwich thingy from Seller’s A LOT this morning. It was just what I needed. Hot out’ the oven, fresh and good to go… just like me. The muffin was fluffy, the ham was tasty, and the egg wasn’t greasy at all. It was a little over $ 5 and was the perfect breakfast. I’ve had salads and sandwiches here many times over the last few years and you really can’t beat the price-point for speedy, fresh, quality not-really-fast-food-but-almost meals in this ‘hood.

You know when you bite into something very tasty and you start thinking«I’m going to Unilocal this», that you a full-fledged Unilocal addict. Although you’ve Unilocaled them before, you can’t help but update your review to further praise the food you love to eat. I love to eat at Seller’s Market. I love the local, sustainable, the fresh, hot and tasty — it’s so good and good for you feeling. And, I love the cupcake at the end of my lunch. Today, Jenn and I visited Seller’s Market at 721 Market Street. It’s a beautiful day and Seller’s Market Patio is one of the best places to people watch while eating lunch downtown. We placed an order to split: We ordered a FOUR-ESTMUSHROOM&ARUGULA four mushroom medley, white wine & arugula pizza. This is my new favorite, really awesome and incredibly fresh tasting. We also had the AHITUNASALAD(SUSHIGRADE) served«Poke» style(raw), wasabi, soy and scallion, shiitake mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, sesame seeds, avocado, pickled ginger & daikon sprouts, organic mixed greens, sesame vinaigrette. Another favorite of ours. For dessert we ordered two carrot cupcakes to go which they put in smash proof containers. Genius! We often place catering orders with Seller’s Market because of their commitment to local organic and sustainable food. It’s great food at a great price and that sends a statement to our employees and clients that we are interested in providing nothing but the very best. I am looking forward to planning a little happy hour party here soon, the happy hour specials are really great and why not ~ we deserve it!!!

I’m a semi-regular at one of the other Sellers’ locations, but today was my first visit to this one. I went with the Tuna Melt today; it’s one of my stand-bys at Sellers in general because it’s tasty, warm and easy to eat. And yep, same good product at this location. I still don’t love their salad dressing, but it comes on the side these days so obviously quantity is up to me. I’d be here all the time if they could find a way to cut the price down somewhat. Definitely a better sandwich than Toaster Oven or the other cheapie alternatives, but then for $ 10 vs $ 5 it had better be… and even then it’s not going to be every day. I’m sure their costs for natural ingredients are what drives this, so I can only wish them well and keep coming back when I’m in the mood to pay up.

I stopped into this newish location of Sellers for a little breakfast solution this morning. I’m a breakfast sandwich man so I just had to try one of their Egg«A» Muffins; I went with the Niman Ranch Black Forest Ham & Sharp Cheddar, which came in a flaky, golden English muffin. They use cage-free eggs, too, so I felt somewhat good about myself after chowing down. I took it to go, but there’s plenty of seating, so not a bad spot for an informal morning meeting, if that’s your thing. As I was waiting for my order(which took about 5 minutes, longer than usual but worth it in the end), I saw a sign for their Friday Happy Hour: $ 3 for a 20 oz. premium draft beer, $ 3/glass for their house red and white wine, from 4−7pm. With the promise of Rocky Jr. Knockout Wings with Point Reyes blue cheese on the side, I’m so there, and will report back…

After a very long morning spent in the basement conference area of my hotel, I busted out of the place at lunch time with the enthusiasm of Gary Busey after 60 days in rehab. On the hunt for something quick and edible, my friend noticed a sign in front of Sellers Markets featuring fig and gorgonzola pizza, and we were sold. My salad with shredded barbecue chicken was fresh and very good, but the aforementioned pizza? BANNNNNNGGGGGINNNNN! Seriously, that is the only way I can describe the hands-down best«fancy» pizza I have ever had. Crumbled gorgonzola, figs, sliced pears and a drizzle of warm honey combined together in harmony. In Philly, we get cubed chicken impostors at Cosi and Panera, while you Californians get free-range chicken and organic ingredients at Sellers Markets. I’m officially jealous.
