*** I suggest to only come here for exactly what they’re named for, THEIRSOUP.** I’ve been here a couple times and their soup never really disappoints. It’s not 5 star quality soup, but it definitely does the job. They have a good variety of selections. The salad on the other hand is not my favorite. Had some for the first time and It’s very plain and the veggies are not fresh. Maybe I just had a bad experience, but how can you go wrong with making a salad? lol I’d give this location a 3⁄5 for the service, but I don’t want people thinking the food is bad.

One of my go to place for soups! It is a quick and easy fix for my soup cravings. Line gets pretty long when it is around lunch time. There are three sections: salad, soup and sandwiches. They also have a wide selection of beverages and pastries + snacks. When I come here, I always get their chili and it comes with a free pieces of beard. I wouldn’t say it’s the best chili ever, but it gets the job done if you are in a time rush!

Chaotic during lunch hour. They don’t even hear you out and try to rush you through the line. Its not clear where the line starts

Tortilla soup is average at best. Caesar salad is good. No need to come back even on a cold SF kind of day. Unilocal says I have to write more, which is stupid.

I go to this location once or twice a week for lunch. The staff is very friendly and always very accomodating. The chipotle chicken wrap is my favorite and has the best toppings.

No matter what time of the day I come here, I feel like they always serve me the last of whatever soup it is i’m asking for. Like, crusty, disgusting, either all broth or all potatoes(or whatever filler is in the soup). Today, the beef barley with mushroom soup didn’t contain any broth. I only realize this as I am now sitting at my desk eating the equivalent to savory oatmeal. Why was I served this awful gruel? I would happily have had a different soup had the server just told me. It’s hard to tell, am I getting the bottom of the barrel, or is their soup just always disgusting?

I promised the soup guy I would write a review today and give 5 stars for this SFSCO’s chop-chop service. Yes, I am a busy professional and can’t take time to cut my salad up into bite-sized pieces for more efficient eating. My corporate masters want me to work as much as possible so every second saved is a penny earned, for them. The Crocker Galleria has a decent food court, but SFSCO is my go-to lunch spot because of the great selection of salad and, most important, their chop service. Thank you from a white-collar worker who doesn’t like large pieces of vegetation hanging out of her mouth while she tries to multi-task and not get food on her keyboard.

Ordered — spicy chicken chorizo BUTTERNUT& kale stew. Description of soup straight from the website: Aidell’s spicy chicken Chorizo sausage in a PUREEOFROASTEDBUTTERNUT and caramelized onions finished with chunks of roasted butternut, green kale and a hint of chipotle chile for smoky heat. Got — spicy chicken chorizo POTATO& kale stew THEHELLLL. If you ran out of butternut and are going to make the stew with potatoes let your customers know when they order. When I went back I was told that it was made with a mixed of different squashes, and what was in my soup was squash. I’m pretty sure what I ate were potatoes.

Mexican Tortilla Soup with everything. Just the right spices. You get a free slice of bread(sourdough roll or French baguette slice) The Gramdmas Chicken Noodle soup is a bit too oily. The soup plus salad is around $ 10. Good deal. They have a rewards program and app, but the app asks for too many permissions, and it crashes so uninstalled it.

I’m giving this place two stars only because the people behind the counter were nice. I had the mushroom soup, my friend had the clam chowder. There was not enough soup left for an entire bowl so they asked me if I wanted a different soup. I said no, I was ok with what they had left. So they gave it to me for free. So there’s that. My soup tasted like dirt. It literally crunched in my mouth like sand. My friends soup tasted fishy, like it was made with tilapia and not clams. I’m glad my soup was free and we won’t go back there again.

Why do I even have to give this place 1 star? I used to visit this place almost 5 times a week for a three topping salad at lunch. The guy who makes the salads during the lunch hour(the guy who speaks with a lisp) is always short, curt, brusque with customers, but I ignored it since that’s the way it is sometimes during lunch rush. One day I was in much later than the lunch rush, about 2:30, and there were only me and two other customers in there. The rude salad guy was even more rude than normal! So rude, in fact, that I left as he was making my salad. He was seriously stomping his feet and waving his arms at me as he asked, «What kind of lettuce?!» It was so ridiculously uncalled for that it was almost comical. As unnerving as it was I decided to contact SF Soup’s customer service, filled in the online form explaining the situation exactly, and wouldn’t you know, they never got back to me. Never responded at all. This is a place with terrible customer service. The salads might be cheap at just around $ 6.50 for a three-topping, but that’s too expensive for the awful treatment. I wouldn’t put up with that if it were really good quality food. So, at around $ 6.50 per salad and me going there 5 days a week I was spending about $ 32-$ 35 at this place per week. That’s $ 130 per month. Reading other people’s reviews I suspect I’m not the only person who stopped going there because of the terrible customer service. I value my money too much to spend it in a place that doesn’t care enough about their customers to even acknowledge the bad experiences they had. Or to put up with the rudeness in the first place.

Their line system here is confusing and it becomes a cluster f*** during the lunch rush but their Cobb salad is the best. Like… my favorite. As in I’ll walk 10 minutes from work to get here and then wait another 10 minutes in line just to get a salad for lunch.

Despite the name, I don’t come to this place for soup… I come for the SALADS. The service is quick and efficient, perfect for a working professional to pop in and out during a busy day(as long as you try to avoid going exactly at noon — when the lines are poppin’ with hungry professionals). Before or after the lunch rush are prime times to hit this spot — Around 11:30am or 1:30pm. The Salads are decently sized and they are very generous with the toppings. You can either make your own salad or choose from the menu. You then choose if you want Light, Medium or Heavy dressing and then(my favorite part) they mix together all of the ingredients with the dressing! So much better than just pouring the dressing over the top! That is pretty much what sold me on the salads at this place.

Honestly, the soup is disgusting. Okay, not totally gross, but somewhere right below average. It tastes like sludge and comes out the same way. I’ve had the chili, tortilla soup and chicken noodle — similar in their bad bowel movements. But the service is top drawer. Came in today right before closing and they gave me the remaining tortilla soup with no charge. Employees here are always prompt and get the job done. And I love the calm vibe outside! Sitting under a big glass skylight is really relaxing.

I normally like Soup Co, but this location has terribly customer service. I came at 2pm(after lunch rush), and there was no one inside. The lady making my custom salad rushed me out like there were 20 people waiting behind me. She poured dressing over my salad. Then asked how much I wanted? Every inch of my salad was heavily coated in dressing. Should had went to Chipotle and got their salad instead… sigh.

The sf soup company is pretty good. The prices are reasonable and they offer a good variety. I especially like that they have a few signature soups all the time but also rotate specialty ones daily. My favorite ones are the mexican chicken tortilla and the turkey chili. They are perfect on cold days; which are pretty easy to come by in sf! Make sure to pick up a stamp card. Get a stamp everytime you spend a minimum of $ 6, and receive a free lunch after 8 stamps. Sf soup company counts as well as a few other restaurants. Check here for the complete list.

I think I’m in love with the Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup. I was sick, and wanted soup, so it was the first time I’ve been to the SF Soup Company and it was the first time I had tortilla soup. I got the large size for about $ 7, which is decent for the area and the portion. I’m sure there are better tortilla soups out there, but for a chain restaurant, it’s pretty damn good tortilla soup. I also enjoy the fact that the soup comes with a complimentary slice of sourdough bread — it just makes the soup experience so much better! I like this location because although it gets busy, it’s never too long of a wait, and there is always seating in the Crocker Galleria. Great lunch time place!

Stopped by here for lunch, it was a cold day and soup just sounded like a good idea. I ordered a bowl of the tomato basil soup and fruit cup to go. The soup was really good, thick and creamy. There were little chunks of tomato and basil in it. The fruit in the cup was fresh and contained pineapple, cantaloupe, honey dew and grapes. I really like that on the menu they have listed if the soups are Vegetarian, low fat, spicy, dairy free, low carb, and gluten free. It makes it easier to make an informed decision on what you are getting.

SF Soup Company makes a decent tasting soup at an alright price. There’s isn’t anything amazing about them, but they are a nice place to go to on a cold day. The lunch combo gives a good amount of food for a good price. The soup isn’t anything fantastic, but it is decent tasting soup. The sandwiches are freshly made here. The lines at lunch time gets pretty long and out the door most of the time. Avoid the lunch rush if possible.
