Today is part of a 2 day Orchid Exhibition with local growers(and some not so local if you count Hawaii and Japan). Located in 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way, the entrance fee is only $ 3 for general public and $ 2 for seniors. Sweet! WOW! Okay, coming from someone with the stigmata of the«black thumbs of death»…I saw some wonky, wacked out and fragrant blooms! There’s this weird spider like orchid which looked like it belonged on the business end of my flyswatter… the smell of chocolate orchids rocked. Of course, being a chocolate freak, I had to buy me some tiny choco ones… they will drive me insane for weeks… drool…*bows to the garden gods… please let these live!!!*. What’s really helpful is that the growers there will personally help you find what you can handle… not what you think you can. After all, these are their babies that they’re selling away, and they need to know you won’t be a serial killer… like me. Parking is really bad on the weekends but still doable if you hunt down the park corridor heading to Kezar.
