Sam, You’re my right hand. You’re my go to. Maybe it’s because you’re conveniently located below my flat. You’re there for me during my highs(with a mini bottle of whiskey or wine) and my lows(with tons of cookies, candy, and ice cream). You were there for me when I wanted to jump on the billion dollar powerball jackpot. And there with some tissues when I didn’t win. You let me to hang out and watch the games on your tv when I don’t want to go to an over-crowded bar. The list goes on and on. Thanks Sam for being the most convenient convenience store in Bernal Heights. Sincerely, J from upstairs

Don’t go to this store, the guy is racist, he actually told me to get the fuck out of his store because I said trying to sell me a case of water for $ 15 is a rip off. He called me all sorts of names, I am surprised he is still in business.

Wow, this guy(I believe it’s the son of the older man) is a complete A-hole and MEAN. I will never go into this store again — he’s rude(I’ve been in there before and he was so rude to some kids buying items from him. what a concept…- actually going to his store). He accused me of «stiffing» him by 1.00(yes one dollar bill). I bought some tickets from him — he actually voided the entire transaction and gave me my money back and said not to come back. Well… don’t worry pal I won’t be back and I’ll be sure and pass along the word that you’re a complete bonehead and completely DISRESPECTFUL to your customers!

Well light at night. It’s tiny but hey, if you need a lotto ticket or a beer quickly its a good stop. Could use a good cleaning inside and the TV is a little loud.

Great to see my homie nick still around the neighborhood. Wish he still owned the corner store on Precita and Alabama. Now I gotta walk an extra block to chop it up and get my oringina damn! Good stuff and they actually do make a good sandwich so check em out

I keeping hearing rumors of these magical and cheap sandwiches on fresh dutch crunch rolls for like $ 4, perfect picnic food for summer in Precita Park. And we all know that summer 2010, Precita Park is the new Dolores Park due to the closure. I have yet to partake in these sandwiches, but I have tried just the rolls and they were amaze– fresh, soft bread from a corner store /bodgea is really a small miracle

Sam’s is the perfect neighborhood corner store. Milk, eggs, TP, ice cream, and of course liquor. The store is clean and well lit, though a bit cramped, and Henry is always behind the counter with a smile.

Sam’s is your basic corner store. Its only drawback is that if you’re in your car, it’s pretty hard to park near there. But that aside, Sam’s has everything a neighborhood mom and pop is supposed to have. Sometimes, they even have green popsicles(not the frou-frou, supposedly healthy«Made With Real Fruit Juice!» kind, but the real kind, made with chemicals). Nice people. Go.
