Ron Burg, PhD

Ron is the best therapist I’ve ever had, and I’ve worked with 6 – 7 in my lifetime. I rarely write Unilocal reviews, but I felt compelled because of how great my experience has been with Ron.
I am a 30 year old male and work in the software industry. I felt things seemed to be going well on the surface of my life, but when I reflected deeply I felt something lacking. I also had struggled to develop romantic relationships as much as I wanted to.
I have tried therapists before and they helped but it wasn’t a real break through. I feel very fortunate to have met Ron. Within a few sessions he was really able to break through to me and understand what I felt no one before could see.
Together we have worked through some of my struggles in a supportive and positive way. Many stemmed from my anxiety, perfectionism, and tendency to be hard or put myself down. The changes he has helped me achieve have made me immeasurably happier, more successful in my career, and more confident in my life.
I feel he has helped me realize my potential and help me find that «specialness» I felt when I was younger. I have continued to see him for the past 2.5 years.
Ron was covered by my insurance, but even at his full rate, the investment in working with him has paid for itself many times over. He is a very kind and generous man and I can only say the best things about him. I have since moved on to Toronto, Canada for work but I continue to keep in touch with him for remote sessions because of his great work.

Dr. Burg is the probably the BEST therapist for Men in San Francisco. He changed my life. I cannot thank him enough. I wish I had known about him earlier, I wasted so much time with so many therapist in San Francisco. Dr. Burg’s approach is unique and extremely helpful. I highly recommend him.
