Rockin’ Robins Children’s Music Class

my daughter and i have really loved going to jessica’s music class for the past year. my daughter, now 2 years, can participate with instruments and clapping along during class, but more amazing to me is how she can sing the songs at home! she is learning a lot about rhythm and vocabulary, and often talks about teacher jessica and her friends from class. i like learning the songs, and getting ideas for how to use instruments and props at home. jessica keeps things energetic and fun, and is always introducing new songs while keeping our old favorites. we are already signed up for the next session!

Unlike other music classes I researched for my 20 month old toddler, Rockin’ Robins (RR) was the only class that was set-​up almost like a mommy group. The classes are really geared to be developmentally appropriate for the little ones and the music is great. Jessica sings plenty of classics (that I grew up with and know) and she writes her own original music which is really quite good. She provides everyone with a CD — which we listen to in the car… a lot.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from a baby/​toddler music class and I am always impressed. My son has taken a few sessions with Jessica at Rockin’ Robins now he loves to sing! He enjoys the different instruments that she passes out for the kids and she plays guitar too.
The moms who are drawn to the class are all great. We are encouraged to get to know each other and I’ve made some really great friends through the class. Everyone participates which makes it a joy to be there.
Rockin’ Robins has been the best kept secret in SF — highly recommended.
