I came to Rob with no previous golf experience. I played soccer growing up, and Rob was able to apply his teaching methods to some of the soccer tendencies I had with my initial swing.
Rob is a very good teacher. He uses video technology, and sends you videos and pictures to help visualize his tips.
I think the best part about my lessons with Rob was his positive reinforcement. Every critique was coated with encouragement, and every lesson was turned into a simple visual cue or metaphor to help retain the information.

I highly recommend working with Rob to improve your game and have fun doing it!
He studies your swing and specific issues. He then tailors his instructions to your needs instead of giving you canned answers like they do on Youtube and in golf magazines. All the while, he’s patient and encouraging.

Rob is a tremendous instructor. He makes the process of learning the game FUN! He wants you and everyone else involved with the game to genuinely have fun. I’ve been to some of the top instructors in the game (I have a history with the game) and over the past 27 years I’ve seen nobody nearly as gifted. He makes in simple, digestible and FUN. By far best guy to see in San Francisco.

I have been golfing for about 10 years and over the years my swing has become really screwed up from trying to «fix it» myself. One lesson with Rob helped me get back to basics and helped take 10 strokes off. I have been hitting the ball straighter and longer. Rob is a great teacher, he understands the game better than anyone else I know. Go see Rob!

Rob is an excellent teacher! He not only understands the golf swing, he understands YOU – your skill level, strengths, limitations, etc. Some teachers work to make your swing look good in a textbook sort of way. Rob takes what you have and works with it while improving all the faults that help make you a better golfer and allowing you to enjoy the game more. I have a single digit handicap and have taken lessons from a variety of teachers over the years. Rob recognized my idiosyncracies with the golf swing, but instead of overhauling them, he showed me how to leverage what I already do – just better. On top of all that, Rob is just a cool guy. He’s funny, insightful and will make your lesson an enjoyable and productive experience.

I have taken lessons from Rob Boldt for the last three years initially in Walnut Creek then in Oakland and now at the Eagle Golf Club in SF. As you can see I have followed him to various locations in the SF Bay Area because he is a excellent golf instructor. He has a canny ability to detect faults quickly and provide easy to implement solutions to improve your game. He is patient. It is clear that his goal is to improve your game.
I have taken lessons from various instructors. Rob has improved my game the most.

Great teacher! Rob makes golf fun with ease. I look forward to my weekly lesson with Rob. He takes a video of your swing and sends it to your email with tips on what to work on. Overall the best lesson couch I have met.
