I’m with Stephanie P, owners and all the workers are the sweetest people! Alcohol wise it’s well stocked and awesome. I’m not a huge candy person but they also seem to have a good assortment of all types of candy and chocolate. Sparse in other little might need items but it’s all good.

Rikker’s is more or less your average mid-sized booze emporium, but I think it deserves more than 4 reviews. And darned if the man who works there(owner?) isn’t the nicest liquor store guy ever! You will usually find him watching Animal Planet or Law & Order from behind the counter; makes me feel right at home… Now on to the goods. This place is stocked with pretty much anything you might need for your everyday drinking needs and beyond. From Bud(boo) to Belgians to a handful of local craft brews, the beer selection is pretty impressive. I’m drinking a big ol’ Sapporo from there as I type. I’ve also found some pretty choice wines. The hard stuff? Well they carry Dan Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka that’s triple distilled through diamonds( ) — what else could you ask for, right? As for the mark-up, it’s the price you(should) pay to shop local. Bottoms up!

I know the markup can get a little out of hand, and Safeway will get you a better deal in some cases, but most of the time I still want to give them my business because they are just so amazingly pleasant. They usually get a wave and smile out of me when I walk by, and are well deserving of support from the neighborhood. Next time you don’t feel like bothering with the Safeway crowds or BiRite bunches, stop in here on the way to your park of choice for some Kinder chocolate and chilled wine, and you’ll see exactly what I’m talkin’ ’bout. Best liquor store experience ever!

Nice staff, rip-off prices. They were charging $ 30 for a bottle of Kahlua. $ 30! The same bottle was for sale at Safeway for $ 12.

A completely non-shifty liquor store that has a lot to offer in the liquor department but comes away with 5 stars for one awesome reason. They have European Kit-Katz.

you know what? for an unasuming little liquor store there is actually a really decent selection of wine. PLUS super cute and queer cashier persons and the sweet gentleman that owns the place is known by everybody in the hood. don’t bother crossing the street for your booze.

Decent sandwich. Anything under $ 5, with grilled chicken as an option, and made as quickly as the lady put it together, deserves an above-average rating. Looking for a cheap option in the castro? Check it out.

I love Rikkers. It’s run by nice folks, they have Duvel and other Belgian Ales, a fine selection of six-packs. They could rotate their beer stock a tiny bit more, hence the four. For example, I don’t often find Lagunitas stuff there. I love beer. Haven’t tried their deli yet, but they have just added one… But beer, precious beer, is what keeps me a captive retail audience.
