Because the burger really was that good. I rarely go to AT&T Park for obvious reasons(Go A’s) but when I do(because they’re probably playing the A’s), I’m sure to stop by Public House. I went for SF Beer Week with a friend. We chose to go here because we wanted to celebrate beer week but also be able to watch the AFC and NFC championship games. Me being an early bird, showed up when they opened. There was a wide selection of beers to choose from for beer week. The descriptions of the beers was lacking… and the bartender wasn’t much help on learning about them for us to pick things we might like. Grabbed a couple of seats at the bar and enjoyed being able to watch the games. There’s a lot of TVs so even us shorties can see, the crowd was chill(and into the game), and the burger I had was phenomenal. While I want to give three stars because of the lack of help from the bartender and the useless beer menu, that burger was juicy, full of flavor, and cooked almost to my medium perfection. Friend had he mini corndogs and the dipping sauce for corn dogs was sweet. It was not want he expected. However, the portion was pretty tiny — at 3. 4 would have been perfect. Flavor was good and the corn was on point.

My rating is purely for the beer selection and the bartenders. One of the best Tap selections in SF below Market st, and they are constantly rotating 1 barrel at a time; most of it stuff you’ll have a hard time finding elsewhere. Good bottle selection as well. The bartenders are fantastic. If you come by during Giants games you’ll notice how they get to everyone in an orderly manner. They know their beer to. Couple pieces of advice: 1) Don’t go before Giants games unless you’re prepared for a crowd; don’t go after unless you’re prepared for a really drunk crowd. If you are going to the game, then by all means be sure to go an bring in a great beer into the park. You can come back and re enter during the game as well. 2). Don’t eat here. If I added in food into my rating it would drop to a 3. Most food seems to be prepared and frozen ahead of time. They really don’t care to excel in this area.

Great customer service and food. Place is a seat yourself restaurant. Waiter was super patient with taking our orders. Ordered the chicken bacon sandwich($ 14) and blushing giant drink($ 11). Sandwich came with a side of chips. Sandwich was small but was very good. I’m not a fan of strong alcoholic drinks, so the blushing giant was perfect. It was sweet but you could still taste just enough alcohol. Prices are reasonable. Setting is causal and dim lighting near the bar area. Television screens throughout the restaurant.

I want to like this place so badly since it is close to home. Maybe catering to games and tourists makes it hard to have a close warm-like environment. Never feel welcome– almost the opposite. Food is definitely sub par. This is my 2nd try will try 1 more time but that will be it. Come please get people that love their job and cooks proud of their food.

Went in today for lunch and found a table on the patio after figuring out, with no help whatsoever, that it’s «seat yourself». First table we sat at had balance problems. Maybe throw that one away or repair it, ya think? Second table was better and in a great view spot. 5 minutes. 10 minutes. 15 minutes. No one came. We saw a waitperson on the entire patio once while we were there. He served a couple beers and we heard him say he was«beyond busy». At 20 minutes and no service we left and went to Brenda’s.

This place is awesome! Go to this bar before the game or after! But it is very tight and body to body so getting a drink can be a while but definitely worth it I always get an IPA and then go enjoy the Giants play — i wish this was still called 24 in honor of Willie Mays

Didn’t even get service. Sat at the bar got our IDS checked and no one else was there but bartender didn’t even ask us what we wanted to drink. Not one smile. Walked out after couple minutes of waiting. Disappointing.

Honestly, I just walked in here to enjoy a beer while my girlfriend was in the bathroom. The bar smelled like vinegar/bleach, the bartender did not come to take my order for about 8 – 10 minutes, and his beer recommendation wasn’t that great. There was about 5 people in the whole bar/restaurant and when I asked the bartender about the beers he recommended, his answer was«I don’t know, try this one». I am from San Diego, and have tried all of the Stone Brewing Co. beers and other crafts, and I was recommended a Coors light. I felt uncomfortable in this bar and honestly felt as if the bartender just wanted to sell me more beer or food just to get me to pay more due to their lack of customers during that time. This is probably a cool place to be during game days, but apparently during non-game days, this is definitely not the place to be.

Cool bar, nice location — super convenient before/during/after a game. Their beer selection was pretty good too — I was impressed both by what they had on tap, and what they had in bottles. Very obscure stuff — awesome! The pretzel bites were ok, same with the corn dogs. I really liked the fries — very tasty.

The bf and I came here to wait for the Giants game. Pretty good location since it’s RIGHT next to the stadium. We decided to grab a beer or two before the game. Because it was the day of the 2-for-1 Virgin airline voucher, the place was packed with fans grabbing drinks before heading to wait in line. We were stuck sitting outside, in the, surprisingly, hot ass day in the bay. Shana, if I remember correctly, was our server. She was SUPER friendly!!! Loved her! Since my bf and I aren’t big beer fans, we asked her what was good. She recommended the Victor ale(?). She said it was sour, but I couldn’t taste the sourness. It was good! I got Sam Smith’s Nut Brown. That one was okay. Not a beer person, so it tasted like regular beer. She also told us about their baby back ribs special. It came with coleslaw and corn bread for $ 18. My bf saw the people next to us who got that dish, and decided to get it to share. When the plate came, whoa! It totally didn’t look like the plate next to us! It was small! The plate was big, but the meal itself was small. What I did like about the dish was that the meat fell right off the bone! The meat itself could have been better tasting. To me, it was on the bland side. There wasn’t enough BBQ sauce on it. I like it saucy! The coleslaw was okay. Had more onions than I would have liked, but whatever. The cornbread was also on the eh side. Not sweet, not the right texture. I like it crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. It was just soft all over. To me, the meal wasn’t worth the $ 18. We coulda went to Safeway and spent $ 10 on something bigger and tastier. Oh well. Overall, I guess my experience here was okay. Aside from the okay food and hot ass day, this place is cool to grab a few beers before the game. Shana was awesome! Super nice! She also recommended us this tattoo place where she got hers at. Might check that out too someday!

Good beer selection but of course the food price is to high. Lol, of course because we’re at at&t park.

Came here for a quick bite before the Giants game. It gets really packed, so get here early to save seats if you are ordering food(some tables are reserved for diners only). Ordered the chicken sandwhich and really enjoyed it. It was above average compared to chicken sandwhiches I’ve had in the Bay Area. Fair warning, service is mediocre when it is super packed, but that can expected.

I loved it here! We only ordered the pretzel with cheese and the tomato bisque soup, but those two items alone were killer! The pretzel bites were made with this dough, almost like a donut. It was sort if sweet and soft and ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS. Seriously, we were craving more. The tomato bisque soup was also wonderful, nice and creamy, but not too rich. It was even served with a grilled cheese! How can you go wrong with that combo?! I wish we lived closer, this would be our go to spot before any game day!

Came here mid-week,. 3 hours before first pitch and the place was jumping. Its open seating so keep on the balls of your feet! Was lucky to find a table quickly, but expect to wait 10 – 20 minutes if you come on a game day. Started with the Chipotle buffalo wings plenty flavorful and solid. Then the house made onion rings which was the star of the night. Not too greasy and not to thick where one bite is all onion. Our waiter was attentive, genuine and was knowledgable about the entire menu. Cool atmosphere before games, reasonable prices, the wait may be the only qualm. I will look to come back on a non game-day for their happy hour.

I prefer Momo’s over the Public House because they offer more food and are less insanely crowded on game day. However, Public House is an awesome hang out with a nice selection of beers. Very pricey as it’s attached to AT&T Park, but it’s San Francisco and everything is pricey here. Always a cool place to hang out with other Giants fans before and after a game. Reminders: You CAN enter the ballpark through the Public House, especially if you don’t want to stand in line and wait… BUT if you want a GIVEAWAY you’re not getting one if this is where you choose to enter. You have to go through one of the four main gates. DOTRY: The onion rings and the fries. Bloody Mary drinks here are also quite tasty. YUM.

I came here for the first time on Monday for the Giants’ Home Opening Day and I have been mad at myself for not coming in sooner. I usually go to a couple of games every season but I had just found out that day that I could bring my beers from Public House into the actual park. Complete fail on my part. That being said — they have a good selection of beer at very reasonable prices. It was packed when we came in, but even then, it wasn’t hard to grab a beer. Kudos to the bartenders! Definitely plan on coming back at my next home game and maybe try their food too. It was packed with Giants fans so the atmosphere was great and the weather was nice as we sat outside on the patio. GOGIANTS!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with a large group and was very impressed with the prompt, attentive service that we received. I had been here a few times before, but had never eaten, only patronized the bar. Food was tasty, but the service is what really stood out. I had the Cuban Sandwich and also got to try the Fish and Chips, both were good, and what you would expect in an establishment like this. Beer was cold, which is always important and was served in a iced glass, just how I like it. Will definitely be back!

My company came here before a Giants game to relax and have some fun before we watched the game. This place is really fun, but you also have to take into consideration that it is a fast paced restaurant. You also have to go into this restaurant knowing that it is slightly upscale bar food. Don’t come in here thinking that it is going to be quiet and 5 star food. It simply isn’t. It’s just a good fun time. I ended up ordering the Baked Mac and Cheese. It was rich, creamy, and a little bit too heavy, but it definitely hit the spot. It had the perfect blend of 3 different cheeses, but I wish there was some bacon on it too. I mean, if you are gonna order a heavy mac and cheese, you gotta just go ALLTHEWAY. We also ended our meal with a Ballpark Brownie Sundae. It was pretty good, but WAY too thick and rich. The brownie was a little too hard for my liking, but overall wasn’t too bad. Whenever I am going to the game, I will definitely be back here for a few drinks and some yummy bar food.

This place is one of my favorite things about AT&T Park and going to Giant’s games. Getting a table can be difficult in the couple of hours before a game, obviously. It’s self seating and I would never try to go here with more than 4 people on a game day. Once you get a table, the beer and cocktail selection is crafty and interesting. Lots of choices of tapped beers and unique cocktails. The food is equally great. Fun ballpark food but a great step up from garlic fries and hot dogs. I had the veggie sandwich which was AWESOME! Over loaded with warm fresh vegetables served with a side of potato chips. The service is good, the servers are very busy but move fast and try to be as on top of everything as they can be.

Pricey bar scene, but rightfully deserved, since it is connected to the AT&T ballpark and that surely demands or draws a crowd here! They have grand selections of beer, cocktails and wine as well as savory bar bites, such as chipotle chicken wings, garlic fries, sandwiches and signature burgers! Public House is a hotspot when there is a SF Giants game and the place hosts a nice pre-game spot — especially before going to the stadium that is right next door! They offer up brunch entrees too — starting at 11am and only on weekends! It is a spacious Public House, with communal tables and servers are quick with getting food and tab out.
