Disappointed. The space is nice and service was good, but 2 major issues. There were several items no longer available from the menu, 2 beers and 2 entrees. It was only 7pm. This was supposedly due to a large beer party being hosted; but you should plan for that. The food we had was meh. Not a lot of flavor; nothing special I would rave to anyone about. Charred kale appetizer was probably the best this we had.

Comfortable café but. ..(based on three visits) –unhappy counter crew, unfriendly –coffee re-fills cost $ 2 a refill, really I mean what kind of café would charge that much for a refill? Food is OK

I’ve only ever been here for dinner. On the positive side, they have a nice selection of reasonably priced wines by the glass, and they have a nice selection of dishes for dinner. Unfortunately, most of the things I’ve tried here have been pretty mediocre. Their homemade burrata is actually one of the more disappointing dishes I’ve tried here. It was watery an flavorless. The pizza is pretty good, but not on par with other restaurants in SF known for pizza(eg Piccino). The best thing I’ve eaten here was a gnocchi marinara dish. I live nearby so I’ll probably be back, but it’s not my top choice.

Food: **** Ambiance: **** Cost: *** Grumpy asshole who shouldn’t be allowed to take orders: * If the food wasn’t good, the denim shirted guy on the front register would be reason enough to never come back. All other staff members have always been great, but it makes me angry that my tip got shared with him. Almost didn’t tip.

I’ve been to Precita Park Café a few times now. It’s a great place to grab an egg sammie or a salad when I take my dog to the park. First, the staff are great. They’re friendly, helpful and generous. Second, the Facelift smoothie/milkshake/blended-thing is heavenly. Third, the food is really good. There’s always a little variation from one visit to the next, and I’d take back .1 stars from my rating for this if that were an option. But even when it’s not at peak deliciousness, it’s still really great food.

Three really great things about this place: the food is yummy, parking is pretty easy, and there is a playground across the street. I had the veggie sandwich and their soup du jour-both were exceptionally fresh and flavorful. Had a pumpkin muffin for dessert, which was beyond wonderful. The only«meh» tasting item was the Chai. Everything else, including the vibe of the place, is really great. With parking as tight as it is in the city, it was nice to be able to leave the restaurant and walk across the street to the playground for my son. I’d go back :-)

I went by there on 12÷30÷15. There was a homeless or stressed guy out front. I invited him to get a coffee inside to get him out of the weather.(It was freezing!!!) He said he could not go in there, as they had already KICKED him out. I confirmed this with staff. Yep, it was true. Damn, really? He was not violent, but he was agitated. You know the gentrification around here looks nice, but this particular move was very mean. I think that kicking people out is rude, and this is not the Bernal way. Study up. Have some tolerance and do not kick poor, needy people out. I might add this was a person of color, who are leaving against their will in droves. Sad, sad, sad. It just was a bad move all around. Your place is beautiful. Please make it a refuge for all. I do really like it, though after this move I think it is a bit uppity. Finally. let’s face it mostly whites who come in and that is boring and NOT the Bernal way. Just saying what I think. All this gentrification is not your fault but you have to have a beating, warm heart, as nice as your plated up food.

Nice location, smooth and casual atmosphere. The food portions weren’t what I expected for the price. We ordered Tuna Melts and the tuna was very dry, we also had an order of fries that were hard and had a cold feel but somehow they still tasted good(maybe we were hungry). They appeared pretty busy at the time we went and seating wasn’t easy. At one point we settled at the bar and asked to have the space cleaned. Then we found a better seat and had to ask to have it cleaned as well. Once the guy came to clean our table he inadvertently(I hope) took our meal number so we had to wait a while before realizing it was gone and that we would have to get up and ask about our meal(which I believe the reason our food was cold) in all. Only two stars from me and my girlfriend so it was a mutual feeling. We won’t be coming back when we visit SF again.

Favorite place to eat in San Franciaco! I was there last Monday and could not believe what an amazing waitress we had! She was an adorable blonde, attentive, and charming! The food was delicious. Especially the risotto! Thank you Precita Park Café for an amazing night!

Such a lovely spot. We just enjoyed an incredible dinner — complete with the best caprese salad(consisting of house-made burrata cheese and gloriously sweet tomatoes). So happy we stopped in.

Can’t guarantee you’ll see B.J. Novak, which we managed to do while we were here, but you will have some pretty awesome food. They do seasonal soups, so I got the butternut squash which everybody at the table pushed me to do, and they were not mistaken. A little sweet, lots of savory, and probably more butter than I’d like to imagine, it was perfect for a cold-ish day. I dipped my turkey avocado bacon sandwich into it several times and it was a great combination. The great thing about this cute little café is it’s right next to the park, so after your meal you can walk outside and watch all the cute dogs playing around and their owners chasing after them to pick up their poop.

If you’re in Bernal Heights with your dog and you want to feel like a hipster again while you eat, this is your place! I’ve been here a few times now, for dinner and lunch. Everything I’ve had for dinner, including but not limited to the octopus appetizer and Mac and Cheese, has been delicious. The prices are certainly higher than you might expect, but you’ll get a great meal. The dinner atmosphere is great too — even at 9pm, it definitely feels like a hip and happening spot in an otherwise squarely residential area: from the fixie mounted on the wall to the«organic juice bar», the hipster vibe is undeniably strong. As for lunch, my experience was a bit more crowded/busy, but the service was fine, and the coffee was, well, coffee, which was what I needed. Definitely a tad pricey(15 dollars for a sandwich and coffee? Come on), but taking your brunch out and eating in the park is an ideal experience. Great weekend date idea! Overall, 5 stars for a great environment and tasty food, minus a star for the price and the fact that the service(especially for dinner) takes longer than you would hope.

This place has lots of potential but falls short. I’ve been in before for dinner and food was… eh, ok. This time, they served me a raw chicken. Our waiter apologized, said he would comp it and make us a fresh one. Then 30 mins later we get our«free»(actually cooked) chicken. When it’s time for the bill? Totally charged us for it. When we mentioned it? Said he had to charge us. Ps, it’s illegal to serve raw chicken. Won’t be back.

This is a specific complaint regarding their olive tapanade. They DONOT remove olive pits before making their tapanade and I almost cracked a tooth twice eating their veggie sandwich today. In response to your response your manager did not replace the sandwich. There were so many pit shards in the tapenade. Customers should just be careful.

Gets really busy at peak hours. Have had: veggie sandwich(5 stars) Tuna sandwich(5 stars) Breakfast sandwich(5 stars) Latte(4 stars only cause I wanted it hotter) Great place to work, right by the park, tasty food, nice and clean too! Highly recommend.

Seriously wtf man. I’ve been eyeballing this place for a while since its down the street from my house. Tonight I was hungry and I only had cereal at home, I didn’t feel like eating at the million taquerias surrounding my house, so I decided to give this place a go. I was initially slightly turned off by how pricey everything is, but I just walked over and decided to look at the menu. None of the entrees seemed particularly appealing to me, so I decided to stick with a few sides. I got wilted seasonal greens, fried hearts of palm with feta, and a cup of their soup of the day which was a pumpkin purée. This totaled $ 20.30, pricey as hell for just a few sides, but, San Francisco I guess… So I came in and ordered around 9:25pm. It wasn’t particularly busy but there were a few tables in. I placed my order and waited. I was starting to get impatient when 9:45pm rolled around — where the frick is my food. It’s not like I got a pizza, just a few sides! After waiting the 20 minutes, I finally got my food and left. When I came home and looked at my food, I wasn’t sure whether to be pissed or laugh(pictures attached for reference). The wilted greens are literally just sautéed spinach soaking in oil. The taste was whatever, nothing special at all. The fried hearts of palm came with a frisee salad and everything was covered in lemon juice and feta. The taste was good, but it was just ridiculous that this is $ 8. The fried hearts of palm were cold so I’m not sure if it’s premade or what. I was assuming this was the dish that was taking so long, but clearly not. The sautéed greens were still warm, so I was a bit confused about what was happening back there. The soup was decent. I actually don’t know how to feel about it. It’s more on the salty side so it’s hard to fully enjoy and it doesn’t really taste pumpkin-y at all. It honestly tastes like the gravy from KFC with some ginger and spices thrown in there and some water to dilute the thickness. I haven’t had KFC probably in over an decade, but it was one of the first things that came to mind when I tasted this soup. Would I come back here? For the steep prices, hell no. Maybe for breakfast one day, or maybe I’ll try the smoothies, but for dinner I’ll definitely steer clear of this place. What a bummer.

Such a great spot to grab breakfast, a slow drip coffee, a fresh pressed juice, a pastry, or ice cream! They also have dine-in options for breakfast, brunch, lunch, & dinner. They try to use local & organic products as much as possible, I believe I read on their sign. They are like the 2015 version of Central Perk from Friends. Quite, clean & modern with a slight hipster flare. They’re a lovely neighborhood spot located right across the street from Precita park. The have bike parking & water for your dog! My husband & I have dined in for brunch & it was very good. The portions were larger than we expected & quite reasonably priced. They carry pastries from a few different places & all that I have tried so far were excellent! They sell Mitchell’s ice cream :) We will definitely go back for dinner soon! They are frequently changing their menu & using seasonal ingredients. I don’t want to rave too much though because I don’t want it getting more crowded :)

Great local gem in Bernal Heights! It’s casual, hip, and really solid healthy eats. My asparagus soup was just sooo good! I couldn’t get enough as I am a big fan of asparagus everything! LOL My rye sandwich was done just right, and I’m not a big fan of «Chai» but turned out, I really enjoyed my chai banana shake! Service was great, fast, and I really love the layout of this place, very relaxing and super laid back. Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

The menu changed, less choice, the quality goes down, the food is good but not exceptional, the prices are crazy. For example, only one size of fresh squeezed juice now(2 before), pretty small for the price. It’s just SO long to get your order! 2 days ago they forgot one of the 2 sandwiches I ordered to go! So disappointed! If the client can not get the quality, for the price guys could you put a nice smile on your face?
