I feel fortunate to have«discovered» Sundae’s pies before she stopped selling on the corner. Her pies are the best I have had in my life, and that is saying something. I just came back from visiting my daughter in Dallas Tx, and I had some slices of the well loved, line out the door, über charming, Emporium Pies. It was good pie, excellent pie, but all I could think is, Pie Fridays is better still! Please fellow San Franciscans, let’s help her make her dream and keep me in pie’s, I have my curvy figure to maintain! I can’t give much to her kickstarter cause I don’t have it, but I can give a little, and I’m pretty sure that is how it racks up. If she doesn’t get her finding by April 26, 2014, you will be hearing a dreadful weeping coming from the Sunset district. If you missed trying her pies, make it happen for your future, the future of your children… the city… the world…(okay, that last one is hyperbole) So many bakeries and pie places in the city with pretentious snots behind the counter, and just okay goods. Pie Friday’s creator, owner, baker-diva is the real deal! One person whose review I read below, was disappointed and disliked her SINGLEPIE experience… wow, no one can please all of the people all of the time. I’m not crazy about her spice choice in one fruit pie, but I’d walk miles for any banana cream pie variant, any chocolate, any cheesecake and any lemon or lime pie she can turn out. … Best wishes lady Sundae.

Her kickstarter campaign is up now until April 26, 2014. Let’s help her open a brick and mortar so we can wait or eat in the warmth of a café, at any time of the day.

Ending the year w/a 5 star review… Like my fellow Unilocalers on here, what great things can I say about Pie Fridays that haven’t been mentioned here already?!? First off, her pies are seriously that awesome and well worth the wait(even in the dark and/or freezing cold). Something about those crusts of hers, they’re amazing! Second, she is a total sweetheart and makes each pie w/so much thought and creativity! Lastly, prices are fairly reasonable. At $ 6 for a full slice or $ 3 for half a slice, it’s not bad at all considering it comes w/a plentiful spoon of her fresh whipped cream. Stop by on a Friday and try her pies soon. Go early though as she does run out!

I could have eaten the entire whole slice of dark chocolate pumpkin pie by myself, but i opened the box around friends and shared with them. It was HELLA good, though, f’real. Usually i wouldn’t eat more than a very thin slice of pumpkin pie, but with dark chocolate!!! Perfect combination. The new Coconut Caramel Banana Cream was also delicious! I don’t like coconut, but the rest of it made the coconut taste not too strong so it was just right. I hope to be in the hood another time she’s there so I can try the other flavors, and buy extra slices to share with everyone!

Best Pie in SF! $ 3 for a half slice, $ 6 for a full slice. A half slice is actually decent too, so it’s not a terrible deal. The problem is that the pie lady has definitely not optimized her payment operations, so it takes a long time for the line to move. The pies are incredible though. My favorite was the chocolate banana cream, but I loved the thick crust and generous amount of berries in the triple berry pie. Pie lady has moved one block over(19th St. between Valencia and Guererro near the park). Randomly, there won’t be a line. If there is less than 10 people in line I would highly recommend stopping by for a slice!

This place definitely deserves 5 stars. DELICIOUSPIE. I tried all 4 flavors she had for the day. Peanut butter, apple pear, pumpkin, and a banana cream coconut. The banana cream coconut was amazing! I should have just gotten a whole pie of that one. The woman there is awesome too. She endured me and my friend arguing with each other and wasn’t awkward about it at all. Props to her for that one!

My friends and I were walking back to our apartment when we came across a long line outside of a building. There was a cute hand-crafted? red cart at the very front of the line, and it looked like the lady had pie. So what did we do? Naturally, we stopped and asked one of the people what was going on. And this is how I found out about the pie lady and her pies on Fridays and Saturdays. Forget that fact that she’s so unbelievable nice. Forget the fact that she handmade her whipped cream. Forget the fact that her pies are so damn goo — oh wait, don’t forget that fact. Amazing, seriously seriously seriously amazing. We had to try all kinds. She ran out of the chocolate cheesecake, but we managed to get the Apple Crumble, Toffee Banana, and Lemon Custard with Graham Cracker Crust. A slice = $ 6 dollars each, and please don’t bust out a credit card. I can’t even say which one was my favorite because they were all so, so, so good. This might not be very nice to say, but my friend had also bought a pie from Tartine on that same day, and it just didn’t compare. Sorry Tartine. +1 for the pie cart out on the street.

Tasty pies that are 100% homemade and served by the baker/owner, Sunde White, from an adorable wooden cart with a hand-carved pigeon logo on top. Full slices are $ 6 while half-slices are $ 3 — all totally worth it. The flavors vary by week, and are usually split evenly between the fruitier and creamier varieties. The fruitier ones are packed densely full of sweet, fresh fruit, while the creamier varieties have just the right level of sweet-but-not-overpowering flavor. I’m hoping that there’s enough buzz to warrant a real bricks-and-mortar shop(or formal hosting by/collaboration with a restaurant/bakery) for Sunde herself, or that there isn’t too much buzz so as to irk the owner of the convenience store at that corner, or to warrant the concern of officials. Brings new meaning to the term«pop up» eatery as it takes place suddenly on an otherwise busy Mission street corner every Friday and Saturday evening, only to disappear without a trace.

OMG, L.O.V.E. T.H.I.S. P.I.E. This deceiving little cart serves up a mean pie and with limited hours(and limited quantity) seems like more than a few people are willing to dish out the big bucks for a slice of pie! $ 6 per slice of pie($ 3 for half a slice) is definitely on the steep end of the pie pricing spectrum, but its definitely worth it every now and then. I absolutely LOVED the banana cream with toffee bits! It was light and refreshing and put my beloved Nation’s Banana Cream Pie to shame. There is simply no comparison to this. I also tried the Dark Chocolate Pumpkin pie too! This is much more dense and rich, so I was full from it within the first few bites. If you’re looking for something more decadent, this is definitely the right pie choice for you! Ask for whip cream! She definitely doesn’t skimp with the servings. :) She also accommodates whole pie pre-orders! If you’re having a house warming or get together, you can pre-order…and invite me too! hehe. :) I think an entire pie is about $ 36…yikes! It probably violates some health code since she seems to just have the homemade cart with only a handful of pies each day. and no actual store front… but still, I had the pie, ate the pie, and I’m still kicking to Unilocal about it. Yayyyy!

OK, here’s the deal: the boy and I had just finished an incredibly filling meal, then washed it down with some hefty beers. So, we’re full; not I-could-have-a-small-snack full, like, OK-let’s-walk-it-off-’cause-it-kinda-hurts full.(First-world problems, I know.) We see folks lining up in front of a red cart and a lady’s doling out slices of pie. Now, in a situation like this, what’s the best scenario? Walk past it? Pffff. Dude, get your ass in line! THERE’S PIEINVOLVEDHERE. And so we did. It was 5 minutes past 5:00pm on Saturday, and there were six people in front of us. We opted for a half-slice of the cherry pie and a half-slice of the toffee banana cream pie. OH, DEAR, SWEET, ROLLERBLADINGJESUS. Can I remind you that we were full? And it was STILL delicious. The cherry pie was pretty good; the cherries were spilling over the tasty crust, but the toffee banana cream was orgasmic! She even added on the side a dollop of fresh, homemade whipped cream, which we devoured. For $ 3 per half-slice, a to-go container, compostable forks, and a smile, I’d say these pie are DEFINITELY worth it! *She’s at 19th and Valencia in the Mission on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00pm until the pies run out. *Four different freshly baked pies. *Cash only.

I ordered a toffee banana cream pie for Thanksgiving because banana cream pie is the favorite of one of my guests. The order/payment/pickup process was easy. The pie was delicious/amazing. I felt a little bit sad for the apple pie that we had purchased(not from Pie Fridays), because nobody wanted it after they tasted the toffee banana cream pie.
