I come here often because they are quick and the food is consistent. The broth is not amazing but they never do it wrong. My mantra with restaurants is consistency. I recommend going if you are craving for some quick cheap Vietnamese food. They accept credit cards too, a bonus.

There are a couple of Kevin’s locations in Daly City but this place always has the best service so that’s why I’m reviewing this one. I love love this phở. Such a great meal to get when it’s foggy and cold. Which is all the time. So it’s a great meal to get everyday basically. I usually get a small bowl of rare beef phở with a side order of the fresh shrimp rolls which are so simple but so satisfying. This is a perfect meal in my eyes. So affordable and a great option for dinner/lunch/breakfast/post-hangover, etc. This place is pretty crackin’ so expect a wait at peak hours(dinner time around 7 – 8). So worth it! Will always come back here(and all the other Kevin locations when I’m lazy to drive into the city)!

The phở here is on point! I’ve never been a huge phở person, but Kevin’s Noodle House may have surprised my tastebuds! I’ve been daydreaming about the phở I had for lunch today. It was perfect and didn’t feel filled with MSG and I loved how generous they were with the protein. I felt myself coming down with a cold, so of course, phở seemed like a perfect solution to alleviate my symptoms. It definitely cleared my nose after adding some hot sauce and jalapenos. I went with the 22A, the chicken phở. Man, that was so satisfying and delicious! This is the first time, ever, that a phở restaurant has made me want to go back! I loved the flavor of the broth too! The service is very quick and the workers there are pretty friendly too. The spring rolls came out almost immediately after ordering and the the bowls of phở came out a few minutes later. The price point is also great(about $ 6.50 for a small, $ 7.50 for a medium, $ 8.50 for a large). Mm… how I could go for another bowl right now! Parking is a bit of pain. You do have to be a little aggressive and fight for a spot. Don’t forget to treat yourself afterwards to some boba afterwards along the same street!

We visit Kevin’s often, along with its archrival across the street, PPQ. The phở here is pretty awesome, and the broth is thick and amazing. But guess what — there is not one. single. vegetarian. option. on. the. whole. menu. That’s right — not a stick of tofu, a veggie-based dish, a rice with green stuff, nothing. So bear this in mind if you have anyone in your group that doesn’t eat meat. This seems like a fairly large oversight that could be remedied with minimal effort. That said, if you are down with beef and chicken, the food is pretty darn good, and this is a place that fills up on cold, foggy Sunset evenings.

My favorite phở place in the sunset! The food is really good and really cheap and really fast! What more can you ask for? They have a lot of tables and the turnover is really quick so don’t be afraid if there’s a line outside. I always get the chicken phở medium and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s about $ 8 for a bowl and I am beyond full after I’m done eating! Parking can be hard, but that’s with all places on Irving. Gotta be aggressive in getting a spot(:

My family and I come in here regularly for lunch or dinner. My aunt is especially picky, but she loves this place. I think it’s the only place she’ll go for phở. I usually get the #4 small and it’s still a decent size! My aunt’s favorite is the 55C which is a chicken and shrimp vermicelli dish I think. They also have a location in Westlake, but I like this location more, even though parking is harder to find.

A very traditional vietnamese phở restaurant. I ordered the dac Viet house special and was very satisfied with the taste! He soup had a very beefy flavor and the overall experience was enjoyable. I’m giving this place a 4 star because, although the phở was good, it wasn’t like amazing or extraordinary. that being said, if you need your phở fix this would be a great place to check out! Also, I personally do not like the smell of incense and the restaurant was filled with burning incense sticks(just a personal beef of mine that slightly affected my personal experience, but not included in my review since I could be the one odd dude that doesn’t like the smell of incense)

Quick, delicious, and(somewhat?) cheap. That’s what makes an authentic noodle/phở house. So what’s all this hullaballoo about Kevin’s noodle house? It pretty much meets each of the gold standard criteria. I was very tempted to get the phở because of all the hype this place receives for their noodles, but sick of phở, I got the com tam(#37). As I’d hoped, food came out very quick and tasted delicious! The meat was chabroiled perfectly, pork skin was plentiful and fattening, and egg was cooked perfectly. The price was standard for NorCal viet restaurants, exceptionally reasonable with what I got out of Kevin’s noodle. Line wasn’t too bad but it gets busy towards 7! I’ll definitely come back and try their phở! Kevin’s noodle is a go. Eat well and prosper,

Been coming here for like 8+ years and its been really cool seeing its popularity grow too! We used to be able to come in with as many people at any time of the day and still be seated right away but when I went a week ago, the place was PACKED! Glad to see family businesses like this doing well ^_^ but sad I have to wait now haha. Long story short, this place is my go-to for solid phở. They also have great rice plates and vermicelli, which I like to get when I wanna be «healthy» haha. Prices are super reasonable and everything tastes fresh, delicious, and authentic. Not the fanciest of places but hey it should always be about the FOOD and glad Kevin’s has got their priorities straight :)

So my good friend Kevin and I decided to give Kevin’s Noodle House a try, especially since it was our first time there. And I’ve done enough of the Phở rounds around Sacramento hitting up Little Saigon for their representations of an old favorite. This spot gets crazy busy depending on what hours of the day you decide to visit so remember to be patient as the lines run out the door. This little spot hosts the typical variety of Vietnamese Phở items as well as their rice dishes and vermicelli platters. I ordered the popular and basic phở that basically has all the meat but no tripe. I found the broth to be a little on the watery side but overall, a good experience. My friend opted for the fishcakes appetizer and he thoroughly enjoyed them. Not a good vegetarian option as the broth here is made from meat. Good spot if you are craving Phở options!

The phở broth was very flavourful. The rice noodles did not have that weird aftertaste. The spring rolls were not as tasty as the ones I had at other places. Overall, the phở was good but nothing out of the ordinary.

My friends wanted to try this place out and I had a pleasant experience here. I honestly give it 4 stars because it’s inexpensive, food is decent, and the staff are all very nice. As for the food, I ordered #17 which is raw meat with phở noodle soup. The meat was okay, I’ve had better quality beef. I did like the broth though. It was flavorful and well balanced. I also ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee with condensed milk and I really didn’t like it. It was SUPER strong and it made my stomach feel uneasy because I didn’t want to waste it and drank most of it. But that being said, it just didn’t fit my acquired taste of coffee, so if you like that really strong dark roast type of coffee, you might like it.

Much needed phở on a windy day. My friends and I were looking for dinner after walking up the 16th Avenue Steps, so we decided to go for some phở. Phở definitely hits the spots on a cold and windy day! The wait wasn’t too bad for 7pm on a Saturday evening(5 – 10 minute wait) since I know this restaurant to be popular with the locals. I ordered the #1. This bowl is a common order for a lot of customers since it’s a large size for $ 8.50 with a set number of ingredients. A lot of other phở items are about $ 8.25 for a medium size bowl, so of course getting the #1 makes sense to order. Though my photo doesn’t do the item justice, the taste is there. Enough sodium in the broth to keep it savory, but not so much that it’s unbearable. I also had their Vietnamese coffee as well, but I didn’t really like that. I guess it’s a personal preference for people to like bitter coffee. Go here for the Sunset District’s best go-to phở restaurant(aside from PPQ)!

3 stars for spring rolls. Barely has enough shrimp and is super limpy. I will never order spring rolls here again. Love the rice dish and chicken broth here though. The rice dish comes with chicken broth. The pork chop is a favorite of mine! The chicken broth just tastes so smooth and rich.

I’ve been coming to Kevin’s since my high school days and it has always been a solid place for phở. I usually find myself here after a night of drinking and the soup here definitely helps. The phở is tasty but it doesn’t have the mom and pop shot taste. The rice plates are pretty solid as well, nothing like you can find in San Jose but they definitely do the trick. All of the food at Kevin’s is pretty tasty with ONEBIGEXCEPTION: The Shrimp Cakes They are not crunchy ATALL, they are not tender, I don’t really know how to describe them but I’ve had good shrimp cakes and these are not it.

This is a neighborhood favorite not because the phở is great, but because the food is inexpensive and they are in a sweet location on a busy street with lots of foot traffic. When it comes to their phở, there are a few things that disappoint me. — The tendons are usually rock hard and inedible. I’ve been here many times, so I don’t know why I keep hoping the tendons will be better. — Sometimes, the noodles are clumped together, so remember to stir everything around first. — The thin slices of steak are frozen and often have freezer burn, and sometimes it has turned a dark unappealing color. I just slather on some sriracha & hoisin on the steak, dunk it in the broth, and it’s fine. So why do I keep coming back? — The food is inexpensive(~$ 6 — $ 9 for small, medium, large phở) and the location is convenient for me. We covered that already. — The broth has good flavor, and it’s always piping hot. — The Thai basil and bean sprouts are crisp. — I walk away feeling full, and I manage to overlook whatever it was about the food that bothered me, because all that sticks with me is the feeling of ingesting a whole lot of noodle soup. — The fresh spring rolls($~6 for 3) with peanut sauce and rice plates(~$ 8) aren’t bad. — Service is fast. Of course it is. I’m pretty sure everything — assuming broth in a large stock pot, noodles in a large container, and bins of fixings — are all prepped and ready to go. Once you order, it shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to get your food. — & they accept card payment. Overall, a good option for quick, inexpensive food if you’re in the neighborhood, especially on a cold day. A solid… 7⁄10.

We stopped in for phở on a chilly night. 3.5 stars — The small size with rare beef & well done brisket was $ 6.50& enough food for me. The beef broth was pretty good — would personally prefer more star anise & a deeper flavored broth. The noodles were cooked well & had a nice chew, not mushy. Decent amount of beef pieces. Good but not the best I’ve ever had. 2 stars — 5 wings for $ 8.50 seemed a bit steep. The fried chicken wings were disappointing despite all the rave reviews. The only seasoning was too much salt. 2 of the 5 wings barely had any crunchy coating. Can definitely skip. 2 stars — The noodles with chicken & pork broth, my friend said was«meh». A small was $ 6.50.

I’ve been coming here with my parents since I was a wee child. I LOVEKEVINS. There’s nothing better than a nice hot steaming bowl of phở anytime of the day! My favorite are their #13, #17, #23 and their pork chop with egg rice plate! Also their iced vietnamese coffee is not bad. Additionally, I think their prices are pretty fair. I’ve never spent more than $ 10 for myself alone here. A small is about 7 $ but the medium and large are a bit more expensive. But usually a small can fill me up! Tip: They give you a plate of bean sprouts, basil, a few slices of jalapenos and a few slice of lime for you to add into your noodles! Soooo good, I put everything in!

Food(3⁄5): The other two in my group got the medium sized phở(#2 and #8), while I got the vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll. All the food was good but not outstanding. The vermicelli had good flavors, but it didnt look very fresh when it came out, and that was a bit off-putting. We also shared the fried shrimp cake appetizer, which was pretty good. The flavor reminds me of those pink shrimp chips! Service(4⁄5): We were seated quickly, and food came out quickly too. Value(4⁄5): Each bowl of noodles was less than $ 10, and the portions were pretty sizable. I think Yummy Yummy has way better value, though. Overall I think this is a solid place to get your phở fix, but I wasn’t as impressed as I expected to be. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing?

Absolute filthy and disgusting. Just look at the two pictures I took. Came here New Year’s Day– they are always busy(I usually go to PPQ, they are way better) first off, service is very slow and not very good– not a surprise, I’m not expecting stellar service from this kind of restaurant. We were seated after a while and I made the mistake of looking in the container that holds the spoons and chop sticks. After taking a sip of my phở, which tasted a little funny to me, like a weird Metallic aftertaste, I saw why. Look at the filth and dust that is on the spoon! There was a thick layer of dirt and hair and debris and dust that made me want to vomit. This is not dirt and dust from just one day or one week. It’s MONTHS of not being cleaned properly, or at all. Now, I know and hear horror stories of how dirty places are, but this is the FRONTOFTHEHOUSE! We are supposed to eat with these utensils. Our health is at risk. I can’t even imagine how dirty the kitchen is. I couldn’t take one more bite after seeing that. Also, they are very chinzy on the herbs, didn’t give us any cilantro. I will never, ever eat here again. You shouldn’t either! And by the way, the food is not even that good. Certainly not worth getting violently ill over. Health department needs to check this place out. I told our waiter and he didn’t give a shit, no apology or anything. Dirty, disgusting and unsanitary restaurant and not good phở either!

love love love their thai iced tea . I’m kind of picky with thai iced teas but I really enjoy how they make it . It’s the perfect amount of tea and sweetness ~ The phở portions are huge ! I find that the small is more than enough. You know phở’s good when the broth is good ~ Really affordable, service is quick and the food is amazinggg

Came here on a rainy day which was perfect, they then go us seated in a timely manner, so not a big wait on a Friday night, however the place was definitely seated. We ordered spring rolls with shrimp, phở with tendons and rare steak, phở with meatballs. The spring rolls with the peanut sauce was good, wasn’t impressed with the peanut sauce. We got small two small phos and I gotta say portions were pretty generous, we looked around and saw the medium and large portions and they were huge. For two small phos and the appetizer I paid 20 bucks, the phở was only a bit over $ 6, pretty good deal in my opion. Overall the phở was good and satisfied my taste buds. Would I come back? Absolutely, especially since I’m in the neighborhood, I’m sure I will be here quite often.

The phở was good and affordable. I got the phở with tripe and rare beef. I think the rare beef was too tough and didn’t come to me rare. I got one kinda large piece of tripe and that was it. Don’t know if it was because I ordered a small… But actually I ordered a medium… Lol they brought me a small and charged me for a small. I didn’t say anything so I’m all good with the mix up. Broth was good, a little weak in my opinion but still rich and delicious. The noodles were good too. Just the right level of soft and chewy.

TL;DR: Excellent classic phở. Low prices. Huge portions. The place was packed when we got there, but we were seated within a few minutes. Everything on the menu is very cheap. Most medium sized items range from $ 6 to 10. I ordered the #8 Tái Bò Viên, phở with sliced rare steak and beef balls. The medium was 9.25, a little pricier than the other items, probably because it was pure meat and none of the tripe/tendon that I wasn’t quite feeling that day. It was amazing. Their«medium» = huge. Tender meat. Juicy beef balls. Chewy noodles. Delicious broth. We got a huge plate of bean sprouts, basil, and lime on the side and it was fresh and not wilted like other phở places. Utensils and condiments are at each table, just like a classic phở place. Tea is served and is regularly refilled. I especially enjoyed their hot chili oil. They also take credit cards, much to my surprise! I’m definitely going back if I’m ever in the Irving district again!

Fried chicken — coating is fried well but there is a residual greasy mouthfeel and the meat is dried out. Without the sauce, the flavors are bland Beef Stew — some tendons were undercooked, flavor of the stew was on the sweeter side Overall Thoughts Two years later time hasn’t changed much
