This place appears to have changed its name to Church Nails, but it is exactly the same people and stuff. I’ve been coming here for years bc of the excellent price. The price is right! I come fairly regularly for full leg and bikini wax, and it costs $ 32 + tip which is probably about 1⁄3 of what you would pay elsewhere nearby. Keep in mind a few rules: 1) never come on a weekend. They can’t keep queuing straight, and you may end up waiting a long time while they serve people who have been waiting for less time. They do not take appointments. 2) always check for missed spots before the lady leaves the little room. Sometimes they miss entire zones of hairy areas entirely due to negligence rather than because they think you want the hair to stay on the outside of your left thigh only. 3) they take credit cards, but they will ask you to tip with cash.

The only reason I come back is because I have been waxing my legs here for many years and they have already seen me in my undies. The wax job is ok, however I have a strict rule that I cannot get a mani or pedi here because they do such a terrible job. It has consistently gotten worse over the years. Well, I slipped up and got a mani the other day figuring«I’m already here getting my legs waxed». It was terrible, but I felt bad complaining about the elderly woman that performed this service. It is worse than what I can do at home. It looks like lazy crap, so I have to go get it done for real. I might as well find a new place to wax and skip this place altogether.

I’m UnilocalING literally… I was cut/gouged here just hours ago. I took a painkiller. Okay, but get this. Accidents happen right? But instead of an apology… I was just left to bleed into the foot bath while this thing smarted like a mofo. At the very end, still hemorrhaging into polish… the woman has the gall to say she fixed my ingrown toenail! Wait, what? Instead of an apology, I’m supposed to THANKYOU for performing surgery that I did NOT okay… which is just a lie — there was nothing wrong with my toe before I went there. I HATE this place… but every 6 – 9 months I end up going there because I think ‘how bad can it be?’ Or ‘anything is an improvement over my current chipped, grown out polish’.(And it’s so close to the house… or like today, my FAVE place is undergoing renovations.) They go so fast, paint outside the lines… and they are so cursory to the point of being rude. I am always so unhappy when I leave and swear never to go back… well, I guess the blood on my toe should serve as a reminder… if I don’t lose it entirely to gangrene. Haha! Seriously though, big hate… this is my first review. I signed up just to complain thinking it might ease the pain shooting up my leg. (Some exaggeration for humour.)

I have been getting a mani-pedi here off and on for 13 years-I tried all the others on 24th and they STINK. This place is clean enough, friendly enough, cheap enough I keep going back out of convenience and I can get in and out in a hurry–

The only reason I keep coming to this place is because they haven’t severed or severely gouged a finger or a toe. It’s the mechanized car wash of nail salons, you’re in and you’re out of there in seconds flat — and it’s C-H-E-A-P. $ 18 for a mani/pedi in a motorized spa chair, $ 8 extra bucks for a ten minute foot massage.
