The coffees and espressos that appear below demonstrate exceptional value relative to other coffees of similar quality and distinctiveness as reflected in their overall score. These best value coffees often, accurately reflect current versions of the same coffee. l like this coffee.

I came this morning to grab a vanilla before studying for an exam. I didn’t think people actually get coffee at 6AM, so early! There was a student a few people working delivery around the mall. The vanilla latte was $ 3.80. To SFSU students, I haven’t been to the one on campus for a month. Unless prices have increased at school, this location is more expensive. I mean 5 or 10 cents increase isn’t a big deal LOL but just leaving it out there that it cost more here at Stonestown.

I love Peets coffee way more then Starbucks. I’m pretty simple, I always get regular coffee, splash of half and half, no sugar. This way I can taste the bean. Although I’ve visited many locations, it’s nice that this one is on the outside of the mall. They have plenty of tables and seating outside so it’s an ideal location to relax, enjoy your coffee, and people watch. The store itself inside is relatively small and gets packed pretty quick when it’s busy but this is San Francisco, get use to it.

Their Matcha latte tastes like Matcha powder in iced water. I got it for free & it still wasn’t worth it

Every Peets I’ve ever gone to has great coffee and a great staff. But for some reason this location seems to often disappoint me… Drinks don’t taste the same.(There’s always too much of something) The baristas take Foreeeeverr to make coffees, you would expect it to be great since I’m assuming you’re putting a lot of time and effort into it, right… Today I went in and ordered a Large Iced Caramel Macchiato. Of course, as always my coffee took forever, and when it did hit the counter I saw a little bit more than half of liquid and the rest straight up foam.(I would of been better off just ordering a medium). After today I remembered why I don’t go there, I guess only for emergency coffee. Might as well go to the Starbucks inside, seriously.(mind you, I hate Starbucks) Lol So Coming from a retired barista these baristas need some serious training!

I love coffee peets more than Starbucks but this branch is the worst! Their coffee is never well-made and they never carry bagel or a wide variety of pastries. This isn’t the first time and I never like leaving bad reviews unless it’s really bad. One time I asked them to remake my Americano seeing that it was a latte and not an Americano they weren’t happy.

I used to bring my disabled grandmother for coffee but the mall cut off disabled parking in the morning before 10AM. Is that legal?

Came here to meet a friend and I felt as though I was squished the whole time! The seating here is very tight. The chairs and tables are very close to one another which tends to cause customers to keep moving in their chairs around to get comfortable. The tables by the register are just the worst. They are so close to each other that you cannot help but hear neighboring conversations. This location has always bothered me but today I recognize why that is. This place is too tiny first off! Having longer tables or more square tables instead of the other tables would make a huge difference. Secondly, while the selection of coffee and tea is great I find that it is just too much in your FACE! The floor should be more open for customers and tables rather than displays. There is a k cup display that is a EYESORE that you notice upon entrance here. Suggestion, move it to the side or somewhere along the wall so that you can OPENUPTHEFLOOR! Customer service here is fine! While I have heard several horror stories I did not experience any of those things. I tend to come here for coffee and teas often and keep it moving. The outside seating is a nice touch for sure. On hot days these seats are probably the best place to be. This Peet’s is also attached to the mall which makes for a fun shopping day as well for those who like to, «shop till you drop». Or are part of that 1% of the U.S. that can afford to do that! Anyway, the mall is decent in that there are OPTIONS and newly remodeled department stores inside. So, if you are looking to grab a cup of java and do some light shopping or early holiday shopping this is the spot to come. Get in and get out and keep it moving. If you are looking to setup shop with a laptop and do some research or studying then you are going to be in for a not so good surprise. Best of luck. Make wise decisions or NOT! #maytheforcebewithyou

I am a serious Peetnik and was super psyched when this store opened. However, I am most often disappointed when I try to get a drink here. They are chronically understaffed, frequently get drink orders wrong and don’t appear to give a rats a$$. #ItsHappeningRightNow On Sunday, we stood in line for about 15 minutes and for half that time there was no one even taking orders. Patronize at your own risk… but certainly don’t go there when in a hurry.

I used to be a Starbucks lover. I quit going there because I got tired of paying so much money for shitty drinks. As a customer, the only thing you expect is getting what you’re paying for. And that’s why I became a peets lover. The baristas at peets are great, however, there is this Latino guy in this particular store that’s not good at all. He’s always chit chatting while making drinks. He’s not focused on his job, cuz of that, he makes horrible drinks. this is not the first time, it’s always like this. I was there today Saturday August 8, 845am.

Finally gave this place another shot and remembered why I just go Starbucks. Ordered an iced matcha and an almond croissant. My almond croissant was so stale and disgusting. I guess they don’t heat up their pastries here. Booo! And for my drink, :(tasted like iced water since more than half of my cup was filled with ice. People here can’t make a decent drink. Seriously people just go to Starbucks.

Literally the WORST Peets I’ve ever encountered… and I’ve been to quite a few for the past decade. First thing that threw me off was the fact that four employees were just milling around sluggishly, while one girl(also sluggish) was making drinks. I got rang up, that went alright. But as I’m standing directly behind the register at a table, one of the employees took it upon herself to «dust» their counter, which really meant she took a duster and literally flung all debris onto me and my friend. I’m not even joking, crap was flying past us and into my friend’s muffin, and into my shoes. The girl looked back and simply said, «Oops. Sorry about that» and went about her day. Are you KIDDINGME?! What?! So then I get my iced vanilla latte. And lo and behold, she made it with water. WATER. Completely watered down, not creamy and frothy like normal. It tasted like when you leave a Starbucks latte out for a few hours and it waters down and is ready to be thrown out. I stood in the parking lot and contemplated going back for a refund, but I was already almost late for work. Waited ten minutes for my watered down latte, not to mention I was covered in dust. Thanks for making my morning terrible, Peets. I won’t be returning.

I’m so mad. This place is a joke. The barista today was rude, and gave me the death glare of the century for asking for whip cream, she also made my iced matcha wrong. Because she decided to pour the matcha powder at the bottom of the cup and put the milk over it. I’m still choking on the powder. My friends mocha was made wrong too. She got HUGE clumps of chocolate when she was drinking it, and it was Luke warm, not iced.

I usually will prefer Peet’s over Starbucks any day due to the caffeine dose and the quality is just way better. This is specifically for the drinks I ordered at this Peet’s location. Although conveniently located next to Stonestown, I was very disappointed at my visit here. The first time I came with a friend, I was very excited to have a Peet’s rather than the starbucks inside the mall. Iced latte — yes, literally ICED latte, it came with more than half ice. I know, i know, that’s how it usually is, but I swear my friend had three sips and it was gone… So for sure if you get an iced drink, say light ice. The drink was good though, but just very little of the drink itself compared to the ice. Iced matcha green tea latte w/soy — super disappointed. I usually love Peet’s matcha green tea lattes over starbucks because it really has the flavor and I love them for that. So… I was rushing out and didn’t get to try my drink until I was in my car. Wow… tasted like iced soy milk with a hint of matcha green tea??? I was so sad. I bought a large and couldn’t even drink nor finish it because it tasted nothing like matcha green tea. What a waste of money and did not get my caffeine fix at all. However, the lines were not too long and they kept it moving. The staff was friendly and I appreciated that. However, I do not think I will order my matcha green tea at this location.

They gave me an iced chai latte instead of a hot one, so they remade and gave me the right one and said I can have the iced one for free! Yay! Thank you Barista! I could tell though that it was tough for him to make another one when I said he made a mistake. Anyway, the drinks are perfect. Sweet to my liking! Place is small, so don’t expect to find a seat to spend an hr or 2 here. It sure can be squishy!

Looks like Starbucks has some competition, as a Peet’s Coffee and Tea finally opened up outside of Stonestown Galleria late June 2013. For people who just want a drink without having to go inside the mall, Peet’s is a good option. Their freddos are blended drinks, very creamy and rich, even if you request non-fat milk. I wished they were offered in small rather than only medium and large. A small iced vanilla latte is my usual go-to caffeinated drink, and Peet’s version is good, refreshing, creamy, and not overly sweetened. The staff is very friendly here. The place is clean, bright, and spacious. There’s about six tables indoor and a few more tables outdoor. Though, in this gloomy neighborhood that rarely sees the sun, why sit outside? The one thing I don’t like about this Peet’s is the layout — why is the sugar/creamer/lids/straws area not next to the drink pick-up counter? I’m pretty clumsy and don’t want to spill my drink while walking across the shop…
