This park isn’t as bad as I thought it was. Some of the people who bring their kids to play here, folks shooting hoops at the basketball court are actually very nice. When I pass by this place between 6 am and 9 am in the morning, there are times when I will see senior citizens doing their Tai Chi routine. It’s an outdoor recreation area where the kids can have fun on the monkey bars and slides. It is still possible to make improvements to this recreation area.
I noticed that the city has improvements to this place by installing a better looking play structure. They also replaced the sand with the rubber mats and this is always a good thing!

Not a fancy playground, but we live nearby and go often. Equipment is newish, with rubbery turf below. My two young sons love it.
Plenty of benches, and great visibility. I can sit in one place without ever losing sight of the kids. Decent neighborhood views, too.
Bayview in general — and spots like this, in particular — still tend to get a knee-​jerk bad rap. We’ve lived in the area with little kids for three years, though, and it’s been great.
Those who can get past the misguided /​outdated idea that Bayview is a crime-​riddled wasteland will discover some pleasant surprises.
