If you’re reading this, you’re probably an Orrick employee or guest(maybe closing a deal or getting deposed). In that case, the Café cannot be more convenient. The food itself(served by Guckenheimer) is pretty decent and cheap. On some days they even have an outdoor BBQ on the patio — $ 6 for a burger, dog, sides, and a drink, while enjoying the rare sunny day in the city and conversation with your favorite attorneys. Worst case scenario, you can pick what you want from the salad bar and eat by yourself back in your guest office.

Unfortunately, some of you won’t get the opportunity to try the café unless you get a job here or are invited by an employee. Also, this is my last week and I probalby won’t be coming around to have one again either(but I got one today :)). However, for those you who do and will continue to work here, I would highly recommend the Niman Ranch Cheeseburger. I love a great cheeseburger and have been on a personal qwest to find the best burger in town. It’s all about the toasty bun and the right amount of juicy beef-ness. If the proper fries are added, thats a double bonus. This $ 3.00 Orrick cheeseburger has definitely been a great substitute while I continue my search. Unfortunately, after tomorrow, I will not be dining on the 3 buck burger since I have resigned but it has been a great burger run while it lasted. And trust me, I ate my share for sure. Side note — skip the fries here unless you absolutely positively must have fries. They will work in a pinch if you must. For the general public, a decent burger(not extravagant) is Pearl’s. It’s pretty tasty but I wish they did the bun differently. ps. i posted Guckenheimer’s site since they are the company that does the cooking for the café.
