Odell Hussey Photography

Odell is one of the most talented, creative, and professional photographer/​videographers in San Francisco i know. I have been working with him professionally for many years. I am the co-​founder of an award winning monthly event and collective here in SF called Non Stop Bhangra that has been producing events/​performances for over 11 yrs. Odell has been our only photographer since he came on board almost 5years ago. He has captured us at some of the most landmark SF venues and platforms over the years ranging from performing art centers, museums, theaters & auditoriums, concert venues, nightclubs, outdoor festivals and more.
Our entire event gallery and photos used to promote ourselves as well as acquire bookings are images captured by him. His beautiful photography has given us many opportunities to be featured in all kinds of publications from newspapers, online websites, catalogs, to books and magazines. In addition, our collective has also done many personal photo shoots with him over the years that have given us timeless images and some of the best to date. He has such a unique style that somehow brings out the most authentic you in images and captures expressions that are truly reflective of who you are in that moment.
I personally have also had the pleasure of doing several one on one photo shoots with him. As someone who’s not always comfortable doing one on one shoots with photographers, he created an environment that made me feel totally at home and really enjoy and have fun in process. I’ve been absolutely amazed at the portraits he’s taken of me over the years.
We’ve also had the opportunity to work with him as a videographer. He did a 45 minute documentary on our collective/​event to which he dedicated 3plus years of filming, producing, editing. He truly captured the full journey behind who we are and why we do what we do. Its remarkable the way he edited it all together and made it seamlessly flow into a story thats now part of our time capsule.
Outside of his talent, one of the best things i can personally say about him is that he’s one of the most positive, inspiring, and humble people i know. He’s so passionate about photography and filming and truly considers it his life’s work and that energy and love always shows through in everything he captures.
His work is very unique, beautiful, authentic and in my opinion exceptional. I highly recommend his services if you are looking for a photographer or videographer especially if you are interested in portraits. You’ll LOVE them!!!
