Their raviolo al uovo dish is the ONLY reason for the star. This place has ridiculously poor service. If you’re looking to be ignored, come here.

I have a friend that has literally started to come here once a week because she is obsessed with their fresh handmade pasta. She asked for a group of us to join her last night and it was the best life decision! We made a reservation for 6:45 but a few of us arrived early and hopped on the happy hour deals at their full bar before everyone arrived. That meant $ 5 Moscow Mules, which is a steal. Our hostess June was so friendly, she got our table ready for us even though our reservation was a bit later and we had the best seat right by the window. Once everyone got their we all chose to make custom dishes with their choose-your-own menu. We ordered a bowl of fried brussel sprouts to start and shared. I got farfalle with basil pesto sauce, mozzarella cheese and chicken, and nearly cried into my dish because it was seriously so delicious. Every part of it was so fresh, I immediately understood why my friend started coming there regularly. We all grabbed a plate of donuts for dessert to share, when the hostess June came over to chat and told us about the private dining room in the back. One of our friends is having a birthday soon and lit up when she saw the room, and immediately booked it for a birthday dinner. Weirdly enough one of my favorite parts of the experience was the bathroom? Mainly because it’s a unisex, open area. The individual stalls are within heavily opaque glasses that go up to the ceiling so you can’t see inside but it looked so cool. I’ve never felt so passionately about a bathroom design. Anyway, while it’s definitely a bit higher end, the food, service, and décor are so worth it. Make sure to make a reservation if going later in the week or on a weekend though!

One of the most decadent burgers I’ve ever had. I’m really an American cheese rare or medium rare cheeseburger eater and rarely divert, but here, I went for it and this burger was so worth going out of my comfort zone. The mixture of the pasta, the perfect egg running just the right amount, and the cheeses was over the top… but then they took it up a notch with the phenom fried onion rings and the roll was perfect. This is a must try! Oh… and they had a very good bar too! I can’t wait to go back!

Thought we’d final try this spot, as we’ve been living on the same block for 14 years! We’ve seen this space go through a lot of changes and were interested in trying the newest incarnation. So we go in this past Sunday night. It was hopping but not totally packed. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation. We said no and she looked bewildered and bluntly said she had no tables. She flatly dismissed us to the bar for dinner service. She left without a word further. We noticed at least 2 small tables that had no people. There was no line. It was a cold transaction. We walked out. Nostra. More like NOPE-STRA. The experience is as important as the food. Food service is a people sport. No room for this sort of attitude. I see a few other reviews that site the same issue.

NO!-stra. Why have a hostess that hates her job? You should put your best foot first, ya know a «people person»??? We walked in without a reservation. They had 3 small two person tables right in front of us, but the very unfriendly long haired hostess pointed to the bar and told us coldly to sit there. She turned on a dime and quickly left. She did not smile, nor give us menus. Unfriendly. Unprofessional. Unlikely we will ever go back. Too bad we live on that block and eat out all the time. The bars seating was disheveled small and uninviting. No No NOStra. Must be how they got their name. Now who wants my $$$$$$$?

Came to Nostra to celebrate a dear friends birthday. Once walking up to the restaurant I noticed how cute and trendy it was. I really liked the décor. Our party was seated in a more secluded spot, which made me feel slightly VIP. We enjoyed some appetizers like the flat bread, meatballs, and olives. Those were good to starters. When it came time to the meal, I really intended to try a pasta dish, since this is an speghetteria. However, I was drawn to the burger. It seemed like a real delicacy of deliciousness. And it sure was. I highly recommend it.

Update: Anther 5 stars for Nostra! I went back again last night with a friend. We sat at the bar. Adam was our bartender and was so much fun to chat with. Very kind and attentive. He took great care of us up there. Awesome service. We tried their famous Nostra Cheese Burger and yup — just as I expected. BEST burger I’ve ever had. I might be a little biased because I’m obsessed with burgers and truffles. The burger was perfectly cooked and juicy. Fluffy burger bun. And on top was their raviolo al Uovo. So freaking good! My friend and I split the burger. Cutting it in half is key because the poached egg in the middle flows out and it’s perfect for dipping your burger in! The raviolo is rich and creamy and couldn’t believe how well it paired with the burger! Fried onion rings also came on the burger. And fries on the side which were perfectly crunchy! Nostra nailed it, again!

The pasta here is so fresh and so delicious, I’ll be dreaming of it for awhile. Nostra lets you build your own, so I had fettuccine with beef ragu and fontina. Simple and excellent. I also tried their speciality ravioli al uovo, which was equally delicious. It’s basically a huge ravioli(maybe 5 inches diagonal) filled with spinach, ricotta, brown butter, and a hint of truffle. My group of 4 split two of these as an app, which was perfect for a hungry bunch. Lastly, I tried some of the cheeseburger, which has a ravioli on it. Totally strange concept, but also so excellent! Beware though, it’s a really rich dish, so you need to be hungry to tackle it. Nostra also has a cool deal where, if you buy a bottle of wine, you can get a BYO bottle corked for free. I will definitely be coming back.

Our little one wasn’t having a good evening, so we canceled our reservation and ordered pick-up. The hostess, June, seemed overwhelmed, was abrupt, didn’t have the polish and finesse you expect from a hostess at a nice restaurant. Weird experience from the start, but we really wanted to give this place a try, so, onward. So, we ordered food for pick-up. She took our credit card info after she informed us the food couldn’t be prepared unless we provided that. I’ve never had to do that for any pick-up order here in the city. That’s 11 years of not paying prior to picking up the order. 11. Allow that to sink in, my people. The food wasn’t ready when we arrived. I guess the owner isn’t down with that, wants to prepare it when you arrive. If I ask for it to be ready in ten, clearly state that I’m ok with it being prepared before I arrive, shouldn’t the goal be to please the customer that paid for the order already? We ordered ahead because clearly, with a 3-month-old, we were anxious to minimize the wait time. Denied. In addition, our refund was not a quick process. Frustrating experience, to say the least. And just in case you’re wondering, no, the place wasn’t packed. Will I be back? No. I’m gonna stick to Pauline’s when I’m craving delicious Italian food in the hood.

My Unilocal Friends Cherylynn and Susy wrote such great reviews, I had to visit! My first visit was with my Unilocal friend Michael, and then we went again a week later with my daughters and one of their besties. If you love hamburgers as much as I do, the Nostra Burger has to be on your list to try! The beef itself is quality, cooked with respect for said quality. The ravioli al uovo on top of the burger without excess condiments is a delicious flavor profile that reminds me of a handheld version of filet mignon with truffles, bernaise sauce, and steakhouse onion rings. The luxurious richness of this burger is truly beautiful. I enjoyed every bite. Everyones’ reviews talk about the well put together menu so I won’t repeat. I did love the sausage and polenta appetizer and the short rib entrée. Really I would still have the burger with those 2 things… but don’t tell anyone! What I can say is: * make reservations * park ½ block down at the lot for $ 15 or try your luck with street parking * have a cocktail from the full bar * they have a special party room behind glass so you don’t feel claustrophobic The hostess and servers are so kind. They really make you feel welcome and the food makes your belly happy! Some people do not handle minor prolems well. The staff here do everything they can to make sure you have a great experience. This is a neighborhood gem! Try the burger, thank me later! I recommend and I will visit again.

We called to do a carry-out order. The hostess June kept me on hold for several minutes and then said she would have to call me back in a few minutes. No big deal on that alone but would have preferred she tell me from the beginning she was too busy than keep me on hold for a while and then tell me she can’t talk. I waited for 10 minutes for a call back and she then took my order. I asked when I could please pick it up/when would it be ready and she said they would make it when I arrive –which, er, kind of defeated the purpose of ordering ahead. Why not tell me that up front? They said they could start making it now if I only gave them my credit card info over the phone to pre-pay. So you’re afraid I’ll order the food and not pick it up? So I did, even though that felt bizarre to do that for a nice restaurant; you normally pay when you pick up. I arrived and waited for 10 minutes to be helped even though the restaurant was pretty empty, there was just no one in sight. Finally the bar manager said the order had never been made and it was also written down incorrectly by the hostess. Bonus. So I paid ahead for nothing and was told I would have to wait another 15 – 20 minutes for the food to be ready. Yeah, no thanks. I politely requested a refund. It took an additional fifteen minutes to process the refund. I spent upwards of a half hour at the restaurant for nothing. This was one of the poorest customer service experiences I’ve had dining in the city. They should have never told me they would start making the food, and the fact that they wrote the order down wrong, kept me waiting, couldn’t even process a refund for that long all just piled on top of one another. Major fail, won’t be returning. Already waiting for the next restaurant to open up here. I’m sure there’s a spot for Nostra alongside where Plin and Another Monkey are laid to rest.

First dates can be super awkward. Five years ago, I went on the most awkward first date e-v-e-r at [now closed] Rohan Lounge. The guy told me that after his last breakup, he cried every day and didn’t go to work for 6 weeks. Tears then started rolling down his face. I tried to change the subject and cheered a shot with him – ugh, what a mistake! Twenty minutes later, he started sobbing about how me misses the foursomes they use to have. Then, he gave me the drunk, googly eyes. Ummm, nope. I cut our date short and said, I was going home. Bye, Felicia! People often ask me where they should bring a first date. Well, it seems that Nostra seems to be good option… both tables next to us were on first dates. Several times they would glance over to look at our food because they were in that awkward moment of silence of not knowing what to say. And, that’s why you go to a restaurant with a FULL bar. Liquid courage, my friends. Nostra has $ 3 fernet shots! As much as I tried to like Plin(I liked Seven Hills), I thought they were overly ambitious with a pricey tapas menu: . The food was pretty good but all I could remember was paying $ 140 for two(before tip) and going to Arinell afterwards for a slice of pizza. I’m glad they’ve decided to revamp and reincarnate as Nostra with a more affordable and approachable menu. Nothing is over $ 23 and you can BYO pasta dish with a base price of $ 9. And, those $ 3 fernet shots… can’t forget about those! My dining companion and I started with the Frito Misto($ 11): which was your standard fried calamari. It was supposed to come with shrimp but we were given carrots and onions instead. It really needed a wedge of lemon because the aioli was absent of the cayenne. Our second app was more successful. The Sausage & Crispy Polenta($ 11) didn’t look too appealing but it was hearty and delicious: . There was ample amounts of meaty sausage chucks in a robust(albeit salty) tomato sauce. It was stick-to-your-ribs good against the crisp and creamy polenta squares. The Nostra Cheeseburger w/raviolo al uovo, American cheese, fried onion rings, truffle oil($ 17): was insanely rich so I recommend sharing this with another person, or two, or three. Before devouring the burger, cut the raviolo al uovo so all the liquid gold blankets the beefy patty with melty cheese. Make sure to take a bite with the fried onions for a texture contrast. I wish there was an acidic component to cut through the richness because it was overwhelmingly rich after the second bite. The accompanying fries were fantastic. They were lightly battered so they were über crunchy. Skip the Catch of the Day. On the Saturday night we went, they had Salmon($ 23): . While it was cooked to a medium and fairly moist, there was no crispy skin and it had a fishy aftertaste. The accompanying tomato sauce was very salty and acidic; it completely overpowered the fish. I would have preferred a more simple prep with salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon. The Buttermilk Panna Cotta w/birbet gelee($ 8) redeemed our lackluster fish entrée: . It was incredibly silky, creamy but with a refreshing tang and subtle, vanilla-y sweetness. Service was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. Food service was timed fine even when it got busy during peak hours on a Saturday night. With the change to a more casual concept, the ambiance now in Nostra has a touch of urban with the graffiti mural in the dining room and the hip hop music they were playing. Oddly enough, it was really dark in the two-top area but bright at the booths for larger groups. Maybe that was intentional for those on a date? I was under the weather and couldn’t drink as much as I wanted to but I want to return for Happy Hour and try their cocktail: «Suns Out, Guns Out». Hopefully, Channing Tatum’s doppelgänger will be there, blazing those guns. *Wishful thinking*

I really liked Nostra! I called for a party of 2 two hours before we planned on being there(7PM on a Wednesday), and there were still lots of tables available. I found it under the«Hot and New» and was very pleasantly surprised! The restaurant has a very trendy Mission vibe to it and the food was outstanding. I also really liked the 4 seaters that the restaurant had — very cozy feel and perfect for a double date! My thoughts on the food: very fresh pasta and what I imagine Italian food in Italy would taste like. We ordered the brussel sprouts(super crisp and flavorful!), raviolo burger(the yolk spilling out on the burger… oh my god… you have to get this), and not being on my more creative vibe that day, I ordered the spaghetti with Grandpa George’s sausage(my least favorite of the meal but that’s because the other two were outstanding). By this, I mean you can create your own pasta — I saw some… for lack of a better word, creative ones and I would hope the servers tell you if the items you chose don’t go well together, haha. Nostra has HUGE portions for the price. Very affordable and worth it. Usually Italian food makes me feel heavy but Nostra definitely did not. I did leave satisfied & heavier just because of the copious amounts of food I ate that filled my tummy :) We skipped out on dessert cz Birite is just around the corner but definitely next time!

Note they are *closed on Mondays* — my boyfriend found this out the hard way(walking over and realizing they were closed). My boyfriend and I came here on a double date on a Friday night. We had reservations and were seated as soon as our full party arrived. Water took about fifteen minutes to get after we were seated, even though we asked for it. The restaurant is indoors, but since it is quite open air in the front, we had some small flies buzzing about and whiffs of cigarette smoke throughout the meal. I guess that’s just the price to pay for the nice breeze. One of us was recovering from a flu, and the bar was kind enough to make her a hot toddy, complete with a cute little lemon slice impaled with cloves. We split the fritto misto, which has octopus, squid, and vegetables. This was very good and perfectly fried to a crisp brown color. All four of us got the build-your-own-pasta dish. I love that they have types of pasta that you would hardly see at other Italian places, and they really do have something for everyone. I had the tarjin(a very thin, flat noodle) with alfredo sauce and mushrooms. They offer sprinkled parmesan, which I took… the more cheese, the better! Oddly, though, the bread and butter didn’t come out until we were halfway done with our pastas. The good news is the bread was warm and tasty; the bad news is we were already halfway done with our entrees and would have liked to have them to munch on before our appetizers. One great pro about this place is the portions are big! Finally, an Italian place in the city where I don’t feel hungry after!

«Welcome back!» The waiter who said this while I was waiting to be seated must have sensed my confusion, because he immediately followed up with, «yeah, you were in the back last time, right?» I was about to just nod and say yes when he continued with, «this used to be Plin!» THAT was finally rewarded with a resounding«OH!» Further conversation led to the discovery that the owner and chef are still the same: they simply shifted towards something a bit more casual and accessible to people, changing up the décor and menu too, while they were at it. The awkward semi-transparent unisex bathrooms stuck around though, it would seem. Is the food any different though? Sorta, as some of the dishes have stuck around, while others have changed out, but it’s still rather delicious. Aside from a normal a la carte menu, they also have a neat build your own pasta option: pick a pasta, pick a sauce, pick a veggie and/or protein. Something I normally associate with quick food restaurants, except here, all the components are quality. We stuck with the fixed fare this time, however, getting the: * Fried Brussels Sprouts — I can’t resist, really. Whenever I see this on a menu, I’m compelled to try it, and compare it to the others I’ve had. And, well, theirs is pretty damn tasty, with plenty of crisp, and plenty of flavor. * Fettucine Carbonara — While the pasta itself was good, I wasn’t too impressed with the flavor. It was enjoyable, but I definitely prefer the carbonara at Chez Maman(or even Usagi) more. The table next to us sent theirs back for some reason, but I did overhear that their tomato sauce pastas were on point. * Nostra Cheese Burger — Oh. My. God. I couldn’t speak after taking my first bite, astounded as I was with this recommendation from my waitress. What is it, you ask? Take Plin’s famous raviolo al uovo, and place it on top of beef patty. I mean, sure, there were tasty truffle fries and onion crisps, but those were mostly irrelevant next to this. If you like fried eggs in your burgers, if you like pesto, if you like truffle, do not pass this up. And yes, it’s just as rich as it sounds, so whether or not you omit the top bun is up to you(we did, to save on some carbs). Food aside, service was friendly and knowledgeable, albeit it a tad slow: our waitress came by quickly the first two times, but it took a while to flag her down after we needed more time to peruse the menu. And then our entrees took a good half hour or so to actually come out, which is something to consider if you come when the restaurant is as full as it was when we were there. ***Accessibility Info*** While redesigned, the layout is still the same as Plin, so this hasn’t changed: the place is still perfectly accessible, venue and bathrooms both.

When my friend Maggie suggested this as a dining destination for my birthday, I had no idea that chef Alexander Alioto had already redone Plin into this spaghetteria. I tried Plin as part of a Unilocal event early this year, and unfortunately my most vivid memory was a fellow Unilocaler snatching my share of their famous Raviolo al Uovo, a dish Alioto recreated from the genuinely wonderful Seven Hills. How Elite was that move? I was thinking I needed to come back to Plin to pay for a raviolo of my own. However, Plin is no more and now it’s a more casual pasta house with the same modern vibe it had before. The best news was that Alioto kept the Raviolo al Uovo on the menu, so I could truly enjoy it this time without being subject to Unilocaler greed. While waiting for Maggie and Jamie W. to show up, I sat at the bar, which has its own identity and vibe, Bar Mia(photo: ), and nursed a relaxing elixir called La Costra Nostra($ 11), which mixed the house gin with a whiskey sour mix, Herbsaint absinthe, celery bitters, Dolin Blanc vermouth, a bit of jasmine tea and mint(photo: ). When Jamie arrived, he went for a colorful Tequila Sunrise variation called Suns Out Guns Out($ 11), which blended Vida Mezcal with a house tequila, Yellow Chartreuse, Orgeat syrup and mango & lime juice with a splash of Chamay spice to give it unexpected kick. Pretty, ain’t it?(photo: ). Then the food deluge began. First up was the $ 12 Braised Octopus, which was a much heftier portion than Jamie and I received at Caputo a couple of weeks later. It came with heirloom cannellini beans, cherry tomatoes, frisee and a big surprise, bone marrow, all or it doused in a light vinaigrette(photo: ). Quite delightful with the marrow lending an unexpected richness most welcome. Next was the much more straightforward $ 10 Green Salad with Early Girl Tomato, which simply tossed baby greens, fennel, and Parmesan cheese in a balsamic vinaigrette, the right light touch considering the carbs ahead of us(photo: ). Maggie had a brilliant idea to get the $ 14 Raviolo al Uovo as a shared appetizer, which was perfect given the decadent richness of the Parmesan cheese, Bloomsdale spinach, house-made ricotta, brown butter and truffle oil(photo: ). Thanks Maggie for sharing. Entrees were next, and both Maggie and I decided to take advantage of their new custom pasta menu where you mix and match your own. Maggie went for the Farfalle with Shrimp in a sauce of garlic, olive oil and chopped parsley(photo: ). Total for that creation was $ 16. I ordered the Pappardelle with Ox Tail and Fontina Cheese in a spicy Arrabiata sauce(photo: ). For $ 19, that was a lovely dish with the pasta perfectly al dente to absorb the sharpness of the sauce and the heft of the meat bits. Jamie wasn’t feeling like a paisan and went straight for the $ 19 Fried Chicken, three succulent pieces in a crunchy coating, nestled in velvety mashed potatoes, snap peas and carrots(photo: ). True Americana on a plate but done uncommonly well. Desserts were needed. Well, ‘needed’ is too strong a word but we said bring ‘em on. We decided to share the $ 8 House Made Doughnuts, five of them dusted in sugar and lounging in a pool of TCHO chocolate and vanilla sauce(photo: ). The second was the $ 8 Pear Tart that came with fresh figs and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream with a lone candle on top because if you put a candle for each birthday I’ve had, the booth would have been a-blazing(photo: ). Alioto made a smart move in transitioning his place into a pasta palace because we were all delighted with our meals, and Liz at the front made sure everyone in the place was treated well with no exceptions. A big thanks to Maggie for treating both Jamie and me to such a wonderful celebratory dinner in the ideal spot. FOOD — 5 stars… pastas beautifully crated and accessorized with that Raviolo al Uovo a true high point AMBIANCE — 4 stars… very relaxing, surprisingly not too loud considering how convivial it is in here SERVICE — 4.5 stars… attentive but not unctuous, a nice balance TOTAL — 5 stars… Plin redux is a nice step up in a quality culinary experience

Loved this place when it was plin and I still love it now that it’s nostra. One big difference is the interior decoration it looks different from when it was plin. They still have several signature dishes on the menu such as the raviolio uovo and spaghetti with grandpa George sausage. Raviolio uovo: 5⁄5: still delicious and decadent! A perfectly cooked raviolio that’s perfect for sharing or for yourself. You can cut it in half and watch the yolk just ooze out. It’s so good that you can use the complimentary bread to soak up the yolk, truffle oil and the cheesy filling inside. It’s heaven on a plate! Spaghetti with grandpa George sausage: 5⁄5: compared to when it was plin, they upgraded the size of the portion! I love the tangy tomato sauce it’s goes so well with the al dente pasta and the delicious sausage! Definitely our top pasta! Custom pasta: 4⁄5: we chose the cheese pasta, white wine and garlic sauce with shrimp! The portion was generous and I love how all the pastas are freshly made. The particular pasta we chose some pieces had more cheese in it than others but overall decent. The sauce and the shrimp paired so well with the pasta! Would highly recommend making your own pasta! Nostra burger: 5⁄5: this burger will definitely give you a flavor explosion! The beef patty was delicious and cooked to medium rare as requested. The cheese well it didn’t really add much since there’s cheese in the ravioli itself. The runny yolk from the ravioli made this super decadent. The flavored really mixed well together and made an ordinary burger a really decadent and delicious one! Overall, we had a great experience here and we still love their pastas! We will be back again to try more dishes! Total for 2: $ 105

My husband took me here a few weeks ago for my birthday. He made reservations online the day before(might have even been day-of) but when we arrived, we discovered that hadn’t really been necessary as we beat the dinner rush(arriving just before 6PM on a Thursday). However, the place definitely filled up as the night went on. Servers were very friendly, although there seemed to be two of them who were alternating helping us which was nice but a little confusing(maybe one was the manager or owner). One of them told us that if we wanted to order the chocolate lava cake for dessert, we need to let them know ahead of time since it takes a while to bake. So I told her yes, DUH, of course we want that for dessert so she said, «Okay, I’ll tell your waiter» which I don’t think she actually did because she asked us later if we wanted dessert, then we had to re-request the cake. Anyway, it wasn’t a big deal but I figured I’d mention it. We were preeeetty hungry, so we decided to order three dishes to share. First was the Catch of the Day, which was salmon with tomato, spinach, capers, in a white wine sauce. Salmon was cooked perfectly, and the skin was super crispy and delicious — never had the skin like that before, but now I shall REQUIREIT. Then we had the Spaghetti with Grandpa George’s Sausage which had onion and bell pepper. I must say, I LOVE homemade pasta. The pasta in the dish was cooked perfectly al dente which was lovely. The last dish was a build-your-own and we had fettuccini in a white wine and garlic sauce, plus squash and chicken. Fabulous as well, although it did taste a little buttery so it was my husband’s least favorite(but make no mistake, he licked the plate clean). The chocolate molten lava cake was scrumptious and super filling which was surprising for its small size. According to the menu, it’s accompanied by vanilla orange semi freddo and berry purée, but I’m pretty sure it was actually basil ice cream. No complaints, it was SO refreshing and complimented the cake really well. A little on the expensive side but definitely worth it. Three dishes and a dessert(plus tax/tip) wound up being just under $ 100.

New casual Italian in the Mission! It has the ingredients for a successful restaurant, but it is not quite there yet. The price tag for the food didn’t quite match up to the experience. First, I like the casualness of it. the ambiance is relaxed and it is very welcoming. It is a nice change up from some of the more fancy restaurants in the area. The service was also friendly and on top of things. We started off the meal with the shrimp and grilled corn salad and the fried chicken. The salad was a hit at our table. it was light and refreshing. The fried chicken was average and I would pass on it. The big draw of the restaurant is the ability to make your own pasta. It brings out the creative side in people and it is more difficult than you think with the many different combinations. My personal pasta included gnocchi, white wine/garlic, eggplant, and ox tail. Not sure if I would recommend this particular combo haha, but it was cooked very well. just a tad bit oily, however. We ended with the house made donuts w/TCHO chocolate sauce. The donuts were okay, but definitely a fan of the chocolate… could drink that up alone! Overall, our table agreed it was good, not great, and more a place for comforting, casual Itaian food

WOHOO! A pasta extravaganza, bespoke style. This is a casual Italian eatery that caters to every palette. I just LOVE this new changeover from Plin. To start, there’s the restaurant Nostra and there’s Bar Mia, which has it’s own menu of fabulous bites and cocktails. But back to Nostra… You get a regular menu packed with fabulous AntiPasti, Primi and Secondi selections like Brussel Sprout Chips — which are fabulous, btw — ravioli, the«Nostra» Cheese Burger, and some other unusual suspects like Fried Chicken and and Grilled Skirt Steak. Then there’s also a signature cocktail menu, and I can vouch first-hand that the Sangria is fabulous(see my picture!!). But the real gem of Nostra is the custom pasta menu. It’s like being in a pasta«candy store» and I could barely choose! Started with the Gluten-free pasta(YAAAASSS, they have Gluten Free), but ended up with choosing Gnocchi, per my server’s recommendation. When in Rome, right? Tons of sauce from which to to choose along with a smörgåsbord board of vegetarian and protein additions. The end result is a FABULOUS plate of house made pasta that has your name written all over it. Then there was dessert… What can I say? I got a sweet tooth and I can’t end it any other way. Our table shared a nice cobbler with vanilla ice cream. I wouldn’t say it was a super wow, but definitely a fitting end to a fabulous meal. And finally, you know I can’t ever pass down the five without stellar service. Our servers were polite, helpful and totally on point. Net Net: ENDLESSPASTAPOSSIBILITIES.
