I live up the street from Noeteca, so hubs and I have enjoyed their wares many a time. I like it! The cheese plates and the like are wonderful; they include lovely little extras(basil marinated strawberries?!) which really take these plates over the top. We have never stayed for a main course, so I can’t speak to that, but I appreciate the fact that the menu is small and changes frequently. I wish that the wine list changed ever, since it’s rather a small menu, it seems to stay the same, which can become boring if they have the same options as the last time we came. All in all, keep up the good work!

I stopped with husband and our little Yorky yesterday. We are visiting our daughter in SF. The soup was delicious but a glass of albariño for $ 18 was excessive. The service was good but a $ 40+ bill hurt, and that is the reason I give 3 stars.

You know what’s delicious? Their pizzas! I mean, they don’t call them pizzas; Noeteca’s too fancy for that. No, they’re tarte flambées. Call it whatever you want, it’s delicious either way. The classic tarte flambée comes with bacon, caramelized onion, cheese, chives, and crème fraîche. It’s insanely good(awesome shot from Cherylynn N.: ) Another tasty dish: the BLTA. Always a classic and yet to let me down. Served with a side salad, it was perfect with a latte on a Sunday morn — err, afternoon. With decent prices, delicious food, solid service, and outdoor seating(yes, even on a windy SF day, it’s a nice option), I’m excited about returning.

After the Carnaval parade we headed back to the family house on Valley. We had Lyft drop us off here up the street. We were both dead tired and an ice cold beer sounded just right. We had a couple of 8% Raging Bitch IPAs. I had a salad that was pretty good and shared with Corina

Stopped by during a weekday lunch hour with one of my Australian Shepherds. The owner took care of me and he was very kind and even offered water for my dog. Ordered their Carmel latte which was fantastic and the Croque Josephine was really good as well. It came with a side salad and I might ask for the salad dressing on the side next time since it was quite heavy handed. All in all a great spot for some great food!

Ordered this off of Über eats and I was extremely disappointed. We got 3 items in total, the Belgian Endive Salad, the Croque Napoleon, and the Quiche Lorraine. We were thoroughly disappointed by 2 of them. The salad that was $ 13.50 filled up only 1⁄3 of the box and didn’t taste that good. The quiche was really dry, and came with toast but no jam. The only dish that didn’t disappoint was the Croque Napoleon.

Such a friendly and fun spot :) Boyfriend and I were lazy and wanted a simple dinner nearby. We were tempted by the tarte flambees and I wanted to order all four on the menu… Thankfully he was more reasonable or else we would have had leftovers for days. Super friendly staff took our order and even asked the chef to recommend something when we couldn’t decide between the specials. We decided on the salami tarte flambee and the specials burger of that night. But due to a misunderstanding in the kitchen, they made the salmon tarte flambee instead. No complaints from us, especially since they charged us the lower amount for the salami that we did order. — Salmon Tarte Flambee: flat bread pizza with smoked salmon, caramelized onion, capers, dill, and crème fraîche. Really delicious! Albeit a little on the saltier side. The smoked salmon was more cooked than I thought it would be — I was imagining smoked lox. Plenty of capers and lots of flavor. Plenty of fish, but just wasn’t what we wanted. — Burger: the chef actually recommended the burger over the tilapia dish(the other specials of the night) and it was freakin’ delicious. Surprisingly one of the better burgers I’ve had in a while and it fulfilled the burger craving that I didn’t even know I had. Juicy meat, bacon, melty cheese, etc. etc. REALLYGOOD. Really enjoyed the music, the vibe, and friendliness from the staff. I’d come by again on a warm night and enjoy a glass.

Always a lovely experience here at Noeteca. The one thing I find that is very unique is that everything is prepared in their front«kitchen» — what looks like a café, pastry case — is actually where they make all of their items on the menu. Who would think that delicious Italian brunch items would be created behind the inconspicuous register. Decent choices of wine. Smaller platters but they’re just right. Their croquet Josephine is delectable. Their cheese & meat platters are yummy & I would say worth it. It’s a small business so I don’t mind paying for the high prices. I got the George salad with smoked salmon which was just right to satisfy my tummy. Also got a glass of dry red wine & the complimentary bread(baguette infused w butter!!! *). Walked out happy(: cheers!

When the new owner tells you, after you inquire that it has been a half-hour since one’s order has been placed, that if you don’t like it, don’t come back, one probably won’t come back. If he continues to be rude like this to other customers, he may not have a business. I certainly will not return. There are plenty of other cafes in this area where I can give my business.

Unfortunately the new owners are ruining this place. The portion size and ingredients aren’t the same.(Costco ingredients and tiny potions) This place used to be such a gem and it was our«go to» neighborhood spot. Really sad.

3.5 stars Lovely little neighborhood brunch spot. I came here on a saturday with a friend and we were seated quickly. The staff here are all very friendly. They have quite an assortment of brunch items ranging from salads, to omelettes, to quiche. Ingredients are fresh, and prices are within the standard SF prices. Portions are on the smaller side, but with good food, quality over quantify. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this for a big group, but for smaller groups, this would be a great place to catch up and have a quiet meal.

Didn’t have the wine here, but the brunch food was okay. Loved my insanely rich Croque Josephine, wasn’t at all impressed with the dry salmon and boring flavors on my girlfriend’s Salmon Tarte Flambée. It’s a solid place if you know when to come and what to order, and the service is good. Plus, outdoor seating.

Such a cozy and quaint neighborhood café that consistently has amazing food and great wine. I absolutely love their quiche and flambé but today I decided to go with the Caprese Tartine, flavorful and light, perfect for lunch. I’m always impressed with the quality ingredients and excellent friendly service.

I wasn’t impressed with the caprese salad. Needed more balsamic, I added salt. I had the veggie flambé. My husband loved it, I wasn’t a major fan of the smoky tomato sauce. And then I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was all worth it, epic. That is it. That is all.

Charming and intimate neighborhood wine bar with a small but compelling food menu. Actually thought the food was better both in variety and flavor than the wine selection. Gorgonzola Crostini(Baked Gorgonzola on Sourdough Whole Wheat Bread, topped with Roasted Red Grapes, Black Pepper and Extra Virgin Olive Oil) — super rich but super delicious Caprese Salad(Fresh Mozzarella, Tomatoes, & Sweet Basil Vinaigrette and Extra Virgin Olive Oil) — more mozzarella and tomato than anything resembling a salad but quite good regardless Classic Tarte Flambée(Bacon, caramelized Onion, Cheeses, Crème Fraîche and Chives) — never thought I’d say this but there was too much bacon on there. It drowned out the rest of the flavors. I picked about half of it off and it became edible. Margherita Tarte Flambée(Tomato, Roasted Red Bell Pepper, Caramelized Onion, Basil, Cheeses, and Crème Fraîche) — perfectly balanced and flavorful, my favorite dish

This is a great neighborhood restaurant and great place to eat, whether it is for some small snacks or for a meal. This place is a lot smaller than I imagine, but still very quaint and inviting. The food here is delicious! Some of my favorite dishes from Noeteca would be the charcuterie platter and classic tarte flambee. I will definitely be back to try out their dinner menu!

Some unique dishes here, but rather decadent. Gotta balance them out with a salad or tea. — Tarte flambé: delish, but you definitely got some bacon grease on this one — Croque Josephine: that savory bread pudding is something outta this world. It’s dense and almost cake-like. It actually reminded me of baumkuchen, a German layered cake. Delicious, and the poached egg on top was perfection. Really glad it came with a side salad to balance it out though. The restaurant it a cute little place with an open kitchen. They only had a couple of ovens and a small stove, so it was really impressive all the food they were able to churn out. Looked like they had a decent wine and cheese collection that I gotta try next time. The table next to us ordered two hot chocolates and they looked diviiine. There are many guilty pleasures in life, and this little restaurant has many of them.

Walk here all the time. This is one of my favorite places in my neighborhood. These guys know how to do it right. Great wine list and always an amazing chalk board dinner special. Their cheese plate is one of the best in the city, maybe THE best actually. It is like getting a palate of cheese, fruit, nuts and fruit spreads to play with and create amazing flavor combos. Wonderful to just get a glass(or bottle) of wine and sit out front and watch the world go by. Brunch/Lunch here is always a treat and they make really good coffee! Tarte Flambé in San Francisco… YES! Service is always out of this world! Love you guys!

This neighborhood corner bistro is such a gem! Amazing food, laid-back ambience that is perfect for having a conversation, and a friendly, attentive staff. We walked in on a weekday around 8pm and got a table right away although it was just about to get crowded. The classic tarte flambé with bacon and chive is the best one I’ve ever had. The crust is so thin and crisp that it almost tastes like a chip, loaded with the perfect combination bacon, cheese, chives and a nice touch of fresh ground pepper. Have it with their generous pour of Bordeaux. The location is a bit of a trek for me but I’ll be back soon to try the rest of their menu. Seems like it would be a great brunch spot, too.

This is my mom’s favorite restaurant in SF! Noeteca is a testament to the belief that simple, understated and unassuming restaurants can sometimes be the most satisfying. Unpretentious, cozy and neighborhood-y, Noeteca allows the focus of the experience to purely be on the food and wine. The menu selection is limited but fret not because every single item on the menu is outstanding. It’s impossible to go wrong with absolutely anything over here. Our favorites are: 1. Classic tarte flambee w/bacon, caramelized onions, cheese, chives and crème fraîche 2. Margherita tarte flambee w/roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, caramelized onions, basil, cheese and crème fraîche 3. Quiche Lorraine(smoked ham) 4. Croque Napoleon with layers of savory bread pudding and smoked ham and cheese 5. The soup of the day! We’ve had both the mushroom bisque and the salmon & corn chowder and both were impeccable. The flavor profile is seriously the best 6. Mimosas — the combination of both grapefruit and orange juice transcends the champagne from a simple orange mimosa! 7. Hot chocolate with whipped cream — this will change your life. An absolute must-try for all of its creamy goodness Seriously, you have to order yourself a flambee when you’re here! It’s basically a fancier version of a thin crust pizza and infinitely tastier! Truly a neighborhood gem for all the lucky folks in Bernal Heights and Noe Valley. Happy Eating, Unilocalers! P. S. There is an adorable outdoor seating option so definitely take advantage of that on sunny days! Also, your furry four-legged friends are welcome to dine w/you in the outside patio!
