The girl getting off shift around 2:00 a.m. just flicked my hair on her way out. That was a pretty random and interesting experience for me. Was she mad at me? Did she want to fight? Was she just having fun? Now I’ll never know; I was too shocked to run after her and ask. :/ Also they closed the cash register as my friend was finishing his pizza but I politely asked if I can just grab a bottle of water and pay back later. And Ahmed was cool enough to trust me and gave me one for free. The staff works really hard here to serve a bunch of obnoxious drunk people so big ups to them. This is my first Unilocal restaurant review where I didn’t rate about the food so take it for what it’s worth.

I did not try the pizza so I cannot comment on it, but I tried the cheesesteak which really was not good. However, I always appreciate establishments that are open late and cater to drunk people. I just think if I am in the area again in need of a late night snack, I may try the pizza instead.

Alright so this review is not about their pizza but you should still read it. So I stopped coming here once the garlic fries changed from skinny to fat but then I decided to give it another chance and then they charge me for ranch! Sorry Nizarios, sorry but you’re more like NOzarios.

Such a horrible experience. I recommend going to the ATM to get cash out and go to the pizza shop 2 stores down. After a long day of showing my visiting friends around the city, was looking forward to resting our legs and having a slice of pizza. I treated everyone to a slice, and when I handed the cashier my card, he swiped it a few times and received an error. He said it was because I still had the activation sticker on my card(which has never been a problem in the past, I keep it on to differentiate my card from other peoples when we split a check). I thought maybe the strip was de-magnetized so I offered him another card. He swiped that one a few times and told me that it’s not working– that there was no money on the cards. How embarrassing. and inaccurate. I took the same card I had given him, that had«no money» on it, to the ATM next door and was *magically* able to pull out cash. A friend had already stepped in to pay the tab, so I ended up giving her the cash. This morning I look at my bank statement and I have 6+ transactions for the $ 19.50 worth of 5 slices of mediocre pizza. Terrible service, terrible pizza. In San Francisco, you can find elsewhere to please your taste buds. and your buds. Would never go back here.

Not ALL pizza is good pizza. This pizza is absolutely terriibbllee. I ordered a slice of cheese and it was ALL bread. It had no flavor and i tried to savage what i could by just eating the cheese but i couldnt take it off because there was very little on the slice. Stay away from this dreadful place.

Disclaimer: I am a self-proclaimed pizza aficionado. I appreciate good pizza. I will bash the bad. I came here with a couple of friends after one of my friends was raving about the pizza here. However, I was a bit skeptical because this pizza satisfied his druchies. He got the chicken pesto and gave me a little bit to try. It was pretty good, cheesy and saucy. The crust wasn’t dry(I had just had pizza at another place about an hour or two before coming here, where the crust was super try). The combination of chicken and pesto was well done.

Between this and the one on 18th street, I’d say this one has the advantage over the other two in the city. Its super busy from Thursday on through the weekend with party goers stumbling in after a few to many. Its open till 3am which is good if you are a nightowl like myself. 3.75 $ for a slice of pepperoni with cheese being 3.00 $. The pizza’s always fresh whenever I go, and the staff at this one and the other locations are awesome even at 2am lol.

Me and my family got takeout. This was the first time I ever had this place. We had a big order of combination pizza, half cheese half mushroom pizza, wings, garlic fries, regular fries and curly fries. The combination pizza tasted like a mediocre version of Costco pizza. It had a good amount of toppings but it seemed like it needed to be left in the oven a little bit longer. My family said the pizza is usually better than today though The garlic fries were good. Less on the crispy side but it had good flavor. The curly fries were average. Nothing special to these. The best thing we ordered were the wings. They are small but nice and crispy. These were seasoned just right. For pizza, I would pass up this place and find somewhere much better. But come by and try the wings!

It’s not the greatest pizza, but it’s convenient when you’re bar hopping through the area I guess. Anything can taste decent when you’re drunk though. Customer service is fast & friendly Overall, I probably won’t be coming back … Even if I am drunk.

Participating in a pub-crawl, Santa Con, and a friend’s 40th bday celebration can really work up an appetite. It was still early in the evening, around 8 maybe, and my husband broke off from the group to order two slices at Nizarios, next door to our next stop. I followed him a few minutes later and found him sitting with two hot slices of pepperoni in front of him. I got a smile as I walked in from the guy working behind the counter. Husband let me have his second slice and I liked it(I was only a couple beers in) — it wasn’t thin crust, but crust was pretty good too. We don’t make it to SF much, but we’d eat there again if we were back in that area.

Ordered the burger and it was overcooked and the bun was stale. Even though it’s right around the corner from where I live, I won’t be coming back.

Horrible horrible service. I was yelled at for throwing away my plate in the wrong trash, then violently confronted. Even after stepping outside these guys kept trying to start a fight with me. One of them even raised his hands at me in a gesture to smack me. I have been going to the Nizarios in the Castro for years, and was happy when this one opened up. I have even brought many people that have never had Nizarios to this location. Worst service industry interaction of my life. I cannot believe that this type of behavior is allowed.

Terrible. Screwed up my order, gave my slice to someone who ordered after me, then when they realized it was the last piece of that particular pizza they told me that I ordered something else. Excuse me, I know what I ordered, thank you. On top of bad service, the slices were incredibly bland. I used to love Nizarios, guess I shouldn’t come here sober.

Great service, fast and friendly. They are innovating with their slices and now they have pepperoni jalapeño pineapple which is my favorite so far. I think they can make better quality of pizza. Location is unbeatable!

I am surprised that this place does not have a lot of reviews. Located in the heart of the mission district surrounded by a ton of bars this is the place to go if you want a late night drunk snake. The pizza is reasonably priced and maybe it was because we were drinking it but the slices were really good. I am sure we will be back since we are in this area quite a bit.

So I’m standing in line at Arinell Pizza a few doors down(because my cousin had just raved about their slices), when the pizza dude gestures with one finger in the air, as if to say, «that’s a wrap!» No more slices. But it’s only 1am *sad face* The lights are turned off on us(surreal…can you imagine?!) & I’m forced to drag my quickly-sobering-up ass over to Nizarios, who by the way does not offer the Greko. I opted for a slice of cheese pizza & a root beer for the trek back to the car – so nasty I barely ate half(& I was hongry, too.) I really enjoy the Nizario’s in the Castro & expected the same menu & friendly service at this Valencia location. Just another example of how going home alone is better than settling for your second choice. Food for thought.

Best Philly Cheesesteak I’ve tried in the city BYFAR. We halfsy’d the Philly and the North Beach Cheesesteak, both were crazy delish. The veggies in the NB Cheesesteak were freshly grilled and contained zucchini.

Ordered Garlic Chicken Pesto for delivery. Entire family got sick in the middle of the night. I tried calling them back the next day to speak with a manager but no one ever answers the phone. I finally called my bank… I gave them a chance. I will not return to this location again.
