Was a little worried since its only costs $ 12. Was one of the best haircuts i have ever had.

Went here today with my boyfriend who got a haircut. The stylist was friendly and fast and gave him a great cut based on a photo we had. We were definitely happy with the results and it only cost $ 12, without a shampoo. I’m sure we’ll be back.

I’ve been getting haircuts here for over a year. I have historically paid anywhere from $ 20 – 80 a haircut as I tried different places, but after paying $ 75 – 80 a haircut for about a year I decided that it was time to cut that expense down if possible. My hair grows in all directions, so it was sensible not to get a cheap haircut cause it would often be disappointing. Anyhow, I gave this place a try and I must say, for a $ 12 it is damn good.
I won’t say it’s as good as my $ 45+ haircuts as there are things they won’t do for you here. For example, my more expensive haircuts would only cut with scissors, would thin out my hair (I have too much hair) making it more lightweight and easier to last longer and look more polished, and they’d wash my hair before and after and give me some tea, etc. In general, it would take longer and be a nicer experience. But if you’re looking for a cheap haircut, this $ 12 haircut beats many other $ 20 – 40 haircuts out there and I have never had a bad haircut.
Not amazing, but great and the price is just too good.
ALSO: she’s in there ALL THE TIME. Seriously, I can drop in on a Sunday afternoon and she will be there to cut my hair. Only once was I not able to get a haircut cause I waited until past 6pm on a Sunday and she closes at 7pm and was busy, but other than that, I have always been able to get a haircut by just walking in.

5 stars. I went in knowing I wanted a trim, with layers and some bangs and got exactly that. Plus some hair advice! This is a great place for a cheap haircut! Wash, haircut, blowdry for $ 23 bucks. Not bad considering many places in the area would easily charge $ 60 – 120. I got the cut from the owner, a super nice lady who speaks pretty good English and who definitely knows what she’s doing with hair. I will definitely be back again.

I have been going to Jessie’s place now for 4 years. That is a long time for me. She cuts hair well and if you want you can also practice your mandarin with her while you are getting your hair cut. For me as good as it gets.

Good place for a budget haircut. At the time of this writing she charged $ 12, far less than the other «cheap» places that charge $ 18 – 20. Price is right, with a big tip you will still end up paying about the same as the other places are, just out the door w/​tip included.
When I got there, one person was there ahead of me, already in the chair. Took maybe 10 minutes and he was done.
She asked how I wanted it cut (little communication error here, but I believe that was my fault) but it ended up working out. No hairs sticking out, cut nice and clean, she even goes over all the touchup stuff at the end again (though she does it quite well the first two times around).
So I am going to compare this to some $ 80 – 200 haircut with a stylist and whatnot, but for a simple cut this is the place to go. WAY better than the others in the under $ 20 range, and even comparable/​sometimes better with those folks that charge $ 20 – 40 for a cut (with the exception being that those higher end places might have newer furniture for you to look at if you count that as a pro).
Bottomline: Perfect for a good yet budget priced haircut, and also great for when there seems to be no appointments available anywhere. Just walk in, its gonna be under 30 minutes. OR make an appointment. Either way if you have a flight out of SFO at 8 am on a Monday and need your hair to look fresh, its no problem if you left it up until 2pm on a Sunday with no appointment/​idea where to go.
Big Bonus — They accept Credit Cards, which is sort of rare for the ultra-​budget hair studio.

($ 12) Cheap haircut in the heart of San Francisco. The owner Jici is very friendly, and happily sees walk-​ins.

I’ve been getting my haircut by Jesse, a fun & charismatic shanghainese lady/​owner, who will have me coming back for many years to come. Not only does she give a great haircut but she’s also got a great personality to boot. At my old studio I always had to wait at least 30 minutes. when Jesse sees me come in the door she always has me seated in her chair within 15 minutes.

Today I just got back from my fourth or fifth visit here. I’m giving it 4 stars and not 5, only because the last place I used to go to (in Alameda) was so great. Honestly, the haircuts here are pretty good– and a bargain at $ 10. I originally found this place on Unilocal,listed as «Studio 800 Salon» and it had good reviews. Today when I grabbed a business card– I did see it is actually named «Nice Studio». Anyway, I originally chose this place because a) it was close to where I live b) it had some good reviews and c) because it is in the Little Saigon and I hoped to find out that Vietnamese hairstylists will all throw in a head/​neck massage– like the lady at my last place in Alameda did. No such luck– and that’s the only reason they don’t get 5 stars. In any case, Jici, the woman who cuts my hair is very nice and does a great job with the haircut. I’d ask her for the massage– but don’t want to get slapped in case there’s any misunderstanding :-)

There’s a good haircut for ten dollars ($ 10.) For the inexpensive haircut I tolerated the television which is not hooked up yet to cable.
The place was clean, wheelchair accessible and JICI was a very nice hair stylist.
