Lots of variety, very efficient(considering this location deals with aggressive biz lunch crowds), and fresh, consistent ingredients. I love it here.

Although a bit pricey, if you’re on a vegan organic eco-friendly, limited to no sugar, local and fresh produce stint, this is the place to be(If you’re dealing with all that, treat yo-self, right?). Certain dressings are low to no sugar, lemon herb vinaigrette(1g) is my go-to, and you can get gluten-free non-gmo for a few extra cents. You’re going to pay more here than a regular café for a salad of the same size, but the build your own greens or quinoa bowl options come with choice of 5 items and runs about $ 9.95, with tax and the SF mandate, it’s $ 11.20, that is if you don’t add specialty ingredients – however, they do have a large selection of toppings you can add within the cost. My favs are Brussels sprouts, glazed carrots, golden beets, quinoa. The quinoa bowls as well as salad boxes are hearty, and they can easily last you easily 2 meals. Comes with a small slice of grain bread, yum. Of course, there are an array of meat-eating choices too, even sandwiches, so there’s something for everyone. Get here early, they open as early as 10:30, so you’re not in a Disneyland Thunder Mountain-sized line, especially if it’s a business meeting, and you’re growing ever so impatient at having to watch and listen to people hem and haw over their toppings of choice. They have grab-n-go options in the fridge case as well, but you’d still have to wait in line. If you’re catering, they’ll do it with a minimum of $ 150, and if you’re wanting to do pick-up/take-out, there’s a $ 70 minimum.

Guess I eat salads like a dude cuz I need to have plenty of protein, healthy fats, and fiber in my salads otherwise I’ll be a hangry puddle by 3pm. Luckily, I can get a pretty good Cobb salad as well as a variety of other protein packed salad options at mixt greens. I also work upstairs so I’m here frequently. Staff is always friendly and accommodating and they have a variety of salad options to accommodate your palate.

I’ve been a regular here ordering lunch for executives multiple times a week for over a year and we all love it — I alternate between here and Working Girls across the street. Mixt Greens is definitely expensive, but it’s great service/personnel, very fresh, customizable salads with extensive ingredient choice, and pretty much worth the wait. I try to go early to beat the rush as the line can be down the street. I would have given four stars but unfortunately when I went in today, I found that my and my coworkers’ favorite salad, the Zen, has been discontinued along with its AMAZING dressing. I know restaurants like to switch things up, but I am not sure why Mixt Greens wanted to mess with a great thing. The Zen has been replaced with the Tuk Tuk, a lighter but similar themed salad, which I ordered today. The Tuk Tuk is an ok salad and includes some of the flavors and spicy peanuts previously offered by the Zen, but unfortunately it has higher glycemic, low protein white rice noodles instead of the Zen’s healthy high protein buckwheat noodles. So that’s one disappointment. The other, kind of major problem is the Tuk Tuk comes with«toasted rice» which is actually just partially cooked white sushi or arborio rice that has serious potential to crack your teeth! By «toasted» they mean the same as the stage when you’re making risotto where you’ve just barely sauteed the dry rice in the pan before you add liquid. Amazing, I know. Definitely not ok. I couldn’t believe it. I don’t have time to go back out so I am just being extremely careful, which is not easy with this salad. Be sure if you order the Tuk Tuk to ask for no «toasted rice» unless you want to risk racking up a huge dentist bill. Also the dressing is pretty good, but not nearly as good as the Zen dressing, which was so good I(thankfully) bought a bottle. I will be seriously rationing that dressing now that it’s no longer available.

Mixt Greens is a popular spot my coworkers love to go for lunch. I finally tried the hype today and was not let down! Although, be ready to fork out some cash for a salad. I had the«Bachelor» salad which was mixed greens, arugula, cartelized onions, steak, and added beets & avocado, which was delicious and filling, but still $ 17 for a salad stings!

In the name of efficiency(which seems like the right fit for such an efficient place) may I submit the following: line, options, price, conclusion. The Line. Yes, there’s going to be a line. And yes, it’s going to hurt your brain to think about it. But it moves quickly enough. Still, a place with efficiency and zero line is probably better, but this is SF where only the quick survive at lunchtime. And they’re not only surviving, they’re thriving. The Options. There are a bunch of pre-designed salads and a handful of sandwiches you can just order by name. That’s what I did, and I got a nice mix of greens, chicken, sweet potatoes, apples, cheese, Brussels sprouts, and a few other mixins. But if you’re feeling creative, go ahead and design your own from the bottom up. There are bajillions of things to mix in, from meats to veggies. They throw it all in a big bowl, get all tongy with it, and mix it up. It will look massive, whichever direction you go. The Price. It seems steep to me. Granted, your salad is gigantic. But let’s be real, you’re paying a hefty price for the luxury of having all those options(someone has to prep all of that each day) and a large staff of bowl mixers to take you one by one down the line. When you’re dropping $ 15 on a salad, you’re paying top dollar. The Conclusion. Hey Mr. Fancypants salad eater, live a little. Why not come here once in a while to remind yourself that salad isn’t horrible? And get creative with it. I think you have to try new things, and there are endless permutations out there to try. Just go with your heart and eat with delight.

While waiting in the lunch queue, I’m always skeptical as to why I’m paying $ 12 for a salad, but it all makes sense again with the first mouthful.

First of all, the line moves relatively quick. Don’t be dissuaded if there are 50 people ahead of you and you really want a salad for lunch. Give it 20 minutes. The salads are a bit pricey. $ 12 – 15 for a salad? Ouch. Despite the price, the portions are hearty, the greens and ingredients fresh and the pre-imagined salads on the menu all looked delicious. I enjoyed a seasonal Fall salad, cleverly called«The Beetnik.» It featured: arugula, mixt greens, roasted beets, avocado, goat cheese, walnuts, dried cranberries, shaved fennel, fresh herbs and balsamic vinaigrette. Props to them for asking«light, medium or heavy» on the dressing so that I can abide with whatever rules I pretend to follow when it comes to dressings ;). The ingredients were all fresh, although I think the salad was a little light on the cheese and could have used just a tad more. Otherwise, the greens, arugula, avocado, shaved fennel, walnuts — etc… all came together for a delicious, healthy meal. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another lunch. There’s also plenty of tables outside if you want to stay there and eat! Only a few tables inside.

Craving something healthy for lunch? Mixt greens perhaps? This is your spot. I personally do not like mixed salad greens but that didn’t stop me from ordering a flavorful salad filled with nutritious and tasty fillings like apples, Brussels sprouts, yams and Parmesan cheese. Expect a hefty line at lunch time, but don’t despair as the line moves at a rapid rate. You can build your own salad or choose one of their customs mixes. I went with the Parker and subbed mixed greens for baby spinach. Want light dressing? No problem. They are happy to accommodate any requests. My only suggestion is subbing those bland mixed greens for one of the more interesting options like spinach, kale or butter lettuce. There is ample outdoor seating and your salad will cost you around $ 12. A perfect, healthy SF lunch.

If you enjoy salads this place has a good variety as well as very high quality. Please note that prices are pretty high for a salad, but these salads are huge. It takes me 30 minutes to actually eat the salad and I’m a pretty fast eater. You can choose from their selections or you can make your own. I have tried a couple of their salads and was not disappointed. The lunch time rush might seem like a long line, but they move quickly. Not my everyday go to spot for lunch because of the price, but I do enjoy going here occasionally for a healthy yet expensive lunch.

Apparently it’s well known for salads so I felt I should give it a shot since I rarely eat salads. As a person who doesn’t eat salads, I wasn’t convinced by Mixt Greens to bring salads as a main meal into my lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong, this was probably one of the better salads I’ve had. When I was here I ordered the coriander-crusted seared ahi tuna, avocado, mango, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, mango citrus vinaigrette, topped with crushed macadamia nut. I’ve seen in past reviews that it was $ 13 in 2012 — well now it’s $ 15! Yay, inflation! It was a fairly good salad I had medium dressing it was decently tasty and it had pretty high quality ingredients such as the tuna, avocado and mango and definitely one of the larger more filling salads. The tuna didn’t taste as fresh as I’d hope for though. I wouldn’t go back, simply for the reason of not being that into salads and it was kind of mediocre, I feel the quality could be better but it’s just so busy and they’re serving a lot of customers(20 minute wait). If I could replace the greens with rice, that would be an entirely different story. I think if you’re a salad person you’d love this place. Also the person who mixed my salad was kind of rude and I’m not holding it against Mixt Greens because everybody else seemed polite enough. It’s interesting to watch people mix the salads in their stainless steel mixing bowls and tongs very intensely and then throw down the bowls on to the crowd. I was just imagining how many bowls were scattered on the other side of the counter with all the pieces of greens and food that fall out while mixing.

Always a great place for lunch! Healthy, quick but leaves you feeling like a cow chomping away for 30 minutes until you get to the bottom of the salad. I would recommend the cowboy or the cobb. Check it out its in the heart of the financial district and helps you keep up that healthy diet.

Great place for a healthy(and yummy) lunch. I went today at 12:45pm and the line was out the door — the line moves very quickly though. The options are overwhelming. Do you make your own salad? Do you go with one of the specialty salads? Do you branch out and order a sandwich even though it’s called Mixt Greens? What to do, what to do. I decided to go with the Maui salad, which consists of butter lettuce, ahi tuna, avocado, mango, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, shiso, mango citrus vinaigrette and macadamia nuts. seriously delicious! These salads are also MASSIVE. I ate the whole thing, but still, they’re huge… good for a little snack later on, if you have more self-control than me. FYI this is the most expensive specialty salad on the menu($ 15), which I didn’t realize until checking out. This place definitely gets a bit pricey. The courtyard outside is really nice too. Nice and quiet. Perfect break from work.

I’ll say Mixt Greens is alright, but not great. With a set up and concept so similar to the neighboring joint, I was confused as to why we went here and not there. It’s salads. Good salads with interesting ingredients and large, too; but I found mine messy and overdressed and — something that grosses me out — tinged with less-than-fresh and slightly slimy lettuce. Womp-womp. A few things this place has going for it: it’s speedy, it’s close to most offices in the Financial District and there’s nice outdoor seating. The salads aren’t bad at all and they’ve got a decent drink selection, too. A-Ok, indeed.

Wow is this place popular! I mean, really, really popular! The queue at 12:30 was out the door, then wrapped around in the store. They had a ton of staff, so the line did move quickly. Make sure you know exactly what you want from the menu board above the line so that when you are up, you don’t hesitate. I had the Orchard salad: baby kale, grilled chicken, sliced apple, cheddar cheese, avocado, bacon, toasted almonds, balsamic vinaigrette. I really like that they allow you to do one substitution too. I totally subbed in beets! Yum! The ingredients are all super fresh and very high quality. The cheddar in my salad was divine! The other salads on the menu all looked wonderful as well, and you can build your own salad as well. For the menu item salads there were 2 vegetarian salads and a vegan, and the proteins ranged from chicken, flank steak, pork lion and coriander-crusted seared ahi tuna! They also has sandwiches but seriously, go salad. Oh, and I also can highly recommend the watermelon lemonade. Happy letuce munching!

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Huge portions makes it so that you can split your salad with another person. If you are eating a whole order by yourself, you are going to feel a bit guilty paying quite a large amount of money for a salad that you might not be able to bring back home if your office does not have a fridge or if you don’t like having your salad soaked. Overall, good salad combo options with an ability to customize!

Delicious, fresh and BIG salads. There is usually a line, but it runs really quickly, so don’t be discouraged! Got the Gaucho, which was one of their special salads, and subbed onions for avocado. I love how you can sub 1 item from their ‘specialty’ toppings list — delicious! Their steak is tender and the chimichurri dressing delicious! A little pricier at ~$ 15 for a salad, but definitely a two mealer!

Their online order for delivery is super easy. I like that you can add a name to each order item, this is especially helpful when ordering for a group. An additional feature is that you can customize an item while ordering online. The actual delivery of the items is a different story; they were 30 mins late. When I called catering, the person answering the phone was nice and apologized but the delivery guy was lost. If you order delivery and need it there by a specific time, set the delivery time ahead of what you actually need it for.

Long lines at lunch; it moves very fast but there’s so many people there it still takes a good 15 – 20 minutes to get your salad. The salads, however, are delicious. As best I can tell, all the ingredients are fresh(and they’re all tasty). I always order from the menu, as create-your-own creates far too many complicated decisions, and there’s a good number of options(and seasonal specials!).

Thumbs up!
