this place is closing, i’m going to miss it because i usually can get my Angry Little Girl bags from here. I don’t feel like going into the city to buy it. They currently have a sale now, until everything in the store is gone. I think they might have another store in Japantown because she told me they have more of the bags i want in Jtown. I like their selection of scarves here and its not bad for just $ 10.00.

Didn’t think a store that sells tacky accessories would survive. And sure enough it didn’t.

This place has A LOT of shiny things. But not a lot of things i like, and the ones i do i feel like they are way too expensive for what it is. I could get 3 of them from forever21. Me and a friend together had $ 2 on us, so we asked if they took credit and they said they did. However when we went to pay, the minimum was $ 15. Even if we bought our things together, the total was $ 13. So we put it back. I think having a minimum of more than $ 5 is ridiculous. We wanted to buy something, but didnt meet the requirements. There is a cute obasan there that helps you put on jewelry, and makes you feel kind of bad when you dont buy anything. She kept asking me, «oh, you changed your mind? you dont want it?» in chinese. which makes me smile back at her, and lie. But i really didnt have money, sorry.

I like to keep it real, literally. You ever see a Coach knockoff purse that uses O’s instead of C’s. Not at all obvious, right? These to me aren’t replicas or imitations, but downright crap. Don’t fake the funk and buy American-branded stuff for cheaper. Word to your mother. But this store … where do I start?(And yes, I get that hypocrisy is a constant in human misery) … But this store … sells ALL designer replica accessories, such as D&G, SLV, Coach, Juicy, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Tiffany, and everything else. The quality isn’t the same(of course), but the designer signature is identical to the real thing. They have bracelets, earrings, necklace, and watches, some of which are over the top and some subtle. I almost think this isn’t legal … It’s like Canal Street, but in a small store in the Westlake Shopping Center. They also have scarves, headbands(headbands and boots — my weakness), clips — everything and anything you would think of putting in your hair! I almost didn’t Unilocal this place, but then I’d be very sad if this store were to go down like the rest of our struggling economy. This is every girly-girl’s dream, and every boyfriend/husband/partner’s nightmare.

I can’t resist a store that sells cute accessories, so we had to walk in. Again, hubby is pretty patient about this. =) I liked that the store was well stocked, well-lit, and had lots of sparklies. There was a good selection of costume jewelry, imitation purses, scarves and hats, and hair accessories. I saw this scarf in pastel colors that I really really liked, but I resisted…$ 10 for a scarf? I dunno ’bout that. I just love browsing at sparkly jewelry, even though it’s fake. Sparkles make me happy. Anyway, they had many pairs of supposedly sterling silver earrings for $ 10, which is a pretty good deal considering how they look, if they were REAL… I kinda question whether it is really sterling silver. Hubby found the neatest two things!!! Two different-looking hippos that were actually little containers! Pretty pricey for the tiny size, but hippos are awesome! No, we didn’t purchase them because we are wise with our hippo purchases. =P(Hippo scrapbook stickers are a MUST-buy!) We need more cute accessory stores like this in San Mateo. I’m so used to them in San Jose and So. Cal. =)

walking in here feels like walking into another claire’s, except it’s owned by asians… costume jewelry(they look silver plated — i think younger kids would have a ball with the selection — they have hello kitty pendants too) scarves(they are actually not too shabby, for $ 10 — i would buy it except i already have ten million scarves and i recently overspent on a REALLYREALLY cute scarf from anthropologie) imitation coach bags and a variety of other kinds of bags(for cheap) hair accessories(probably the only thing i would come here for) i have to admit, i have a lot of headbands. they look cute with different outfits. you could let your hair down and wear a head band or you could put your hair up in a ponytail and then wear a head band(this is what i do when i’m having a bad hair day or if i don’t have time to deal with my fickle hair in the morning). they help get hair out of your face and i like using it when i’m reading or when i wash my face in the morning/night. some of the stuff here are great for stocking stuffers if you have little girls to buy for. i got some cute things for myself today, 2 head bands and 1 hair tie(9 dollas!!!)
