Mena Mead Hair Color and Makeup

I love Mena! I started seeing her about three years ago, and she has been the only hair dresser I see ever since. She does exactly as I ask, understands what I want and has a perfect eye. I always receive many compliments after getting my hair cut from her. I 100% trust her with my hair, and recommend her to anyone.

I love my hair cuts! Mena does such a great job. She is also super friendly and fun to be around. I’m so glad she so well located near Union square. Getting there is a breeze.

Mena is awesome, superb, incredible. Came in for a cut, and it’s almost as if she knew what I wanted before I could even tell her, what a great eye. She has a beautiful salon near Union Square and it may have been the best haircut I have ever received. Very good prices, very friendly, very good service. I won’t go to anyone else as long I live in the Bay Area.

I used Mena to cut and style my hair for my wedding. Her rates are reasonable but more importantly, she makes me look great! I highly recommend her if you need to spruce up your look or just want a reliable stylist.

Mena is amazing! After using cheap barbers for years, I went to Mena to see what she could do. I was astonished at the difference between Mena and a regular barber. First, she immediately recognized that I had been parting may hair against my natural part for decades. This made a huge difference. Second, I didn’t even have to tell her how I like my haircut. I let her do what she does and she gave me the best haircut I have ever had. Seriously. Third, her rates are reasonable and well worth it. Finally, as a human, Mena is super cool. Mena will hook you up and make you look your best.

I have been getting my hair cut from Mena for the past 8 or 9 years. I lost count because after I began seeing her, I never needed to see anyone else.
I am Asian and it’s not easy to find someone who can deal w/​my hair type. Mena cuts and layers it to give it volume just the way I like. She is truly a professional and listens to my needs. I cannot say enough about how happy I am that I found her.

I met Mena in New Orleans over a decade ago when she had a fabulous salon on Magazine Street. Since moving back to San Francisco 7 years ago she has been the only person I see for hair.
My hair is baby-​fine and relentlessly straight; she has come up with creative cuts to get more movement and advised me about products and styling methods to maximize what body I can get. I particularly recommend the micro-​highlights she has been working on in recent years, truly amazing. I don’t know anything about hair and rarely know what I want except «putting my resume out, need professional» or «travelling to see friends, want glamour» and have never been disappointed with the results. She’s helped me get ready for serious interviews and for my first SF formal gala with equally successful results. For the latter she did both hair and makeup, we had attention from the photographers.
Mena is also an interested and attentive listener and makes every appointment feel like a special day rather than an errand or chore.
I would never see anyone else.
