I’ve been going to Dr. Melean for almost 10 years now. He is very attentive to my chiropractic needs. Very professional and friendly. I highly recommend his awesome services. Walk-​ins are welcome.

Short Story: I was scammed and taken advantage of by this unethical Chiropractor’s office. I was unfairly charged for a consultation visit after they misrepresented their services. I called to discuss the matter in an attempt to find a fair resolution, but was treated horribly by the office staff. I couldn’t recommend this business to anyone.
Back Story: My MD recommended massage therapy for my migraines, which have increased due to surgery I had to remove a brain tumor. My insurance covers this expense as long as it is done through a Chiropractor’s office. When I spoke to the office staff to schedule an appt. with their massage therapist, I was very clear that I was looking for massage therapy and not chiropractic therapy. I also confirmed with the office that they would bill my insurance for this covered expense. They confirmed they would bill my insurance for the massage therapist, but first I need to set up a consultation appt with Dr. Ivan. I asked why I had to see the Chiropractor if I was only looking for massage therapy and was told it was a mandatory consultation before they can schedule an appt with their massage therapist.
When I reiterated to Dr. Ivan at the start of the consultation that I was not interested in chiropractic care, but massage therapy, he tried to convince me to use him as my chiropractor. At the end of the visit he said he would have the office call me back to set up the massage therapy appts I needed. When he called me back a few days later he referred me out to another chiropractor’s office for massage therapy because his office didn’t have any experience billing insurance for their massage therapist. What!!! His exact words were «I’m sorry, I kind of feel like I wasted your time.» I couldn’t agree more… not to mention the office he referred me to couldn’t help me either (but at least they were straightforward about not wanting to deal with billing my insurance for their massage therapist).
When I called Dr. Ivan’s office back to explain that I felt it was wrong for them to charge for a consultation I didn’t want or need, the woman in the office was extremely rude, so I hung up. Then she called me back lecturing me on how immature it was for me to hang up and then HUNG UP ON ME. I had to LOL — literally — at the irony.
I am allowed twelve visits for chiro/​massage therapy and now they are billing my insurance for wasting my time — using up my precious insurance benefits that are actually needed for what I originally contacted them for — massage therapy. What a bummer. Thankfully, I have found a wonderful Chiropractic office that has met my needs.
