Matt Hinkle

We started house hunting in early 2011. After attending a lot of open houses and combing numerous mls sites, we were introduced to Matt by his business associate, Katy. We set up an initial meeting with Matt and knew immediately that he was the right agent for us. Matt was clearly interested in figuring out exactly what we wanted and finding a house that suited our needs perfectly. From the onset, he didn’t try to sell us on to anything that we weren’t interested in.
We had a shortlist of house hunting items that were nonnegotiable the top of the list was garage space. We had been told by other realtors that we would never find a place with the kind of garage that suited our needs but Matt assured us that it was out there though it might take time to find. We thought that our search might take more than a year, and it probably would have with another realtor.
While viewing properties with Matt one June morning, he mentioned a new listing that he thought we should look at. It was six blocks from our current home and in the middle of our target neighborhood. The property was amazing. Tons of garage space… with a 2bd/​1ba house attached to it… and a yard, fireplace, center patio, hardwood floors, and new kitchen. It was a turn key property. And did I mention it had an amazing garage.
We decided to move quickly and submitted an offer within a couple of days. The offer was accepted after minor negotiations and within 10 days we were in contract… which is when the deal became unnecessarily complex (thanks to the sellers’ agent) to the extent that we directed Matt to cancel the contract on three separate occasions during escrow. To his credit, Matt kept us in the deal and skillfully guided us over the nightmarish hurdles set up by the sellers’ agent. He kept us focused on the prize and by the end of August, we were moving into our new home.
We can’t say enough great things about Matt and the team at KD Real Estate. Our home buying process was difficult, to say the least. However, Matt and Katy proved to be invaluable resources and steered us to the completion of our purchase despite the ridiculous antics of the sellers’ agent. Matt is one of the most honest and ethical people we’ve ever worked with and we look forward to doing business with him again.

Matt helped me purchase a bank-​owned loft with 1^st floor commercial space in November 2010. The property was elegible for a Mortgage Credit Certificate and Matt worked closely with the participating lender. There were constant issues because of the uniqueness of the property (banks are not used to dealing with mixed-​use commercial/​residential) and Matt was very responsive throughout the process. He made sure I knew what was going on during the whole buying process and where we were located in the buying timeline. I wouldn’t hesitate to utilize his sevices again.
