One of the worst PT experiences I ever had. The lobby had a treadmill the whole I went there, read about 4 times. The therapist was a joke, more interested in chatting then doing his job. Kept making me ride a stationary bike, which has now contributed to my knee problem and seeking a real PT person. Demanded I bring him lemons when I told him I had a lemon tree. Did nothing I wasn’t already doing at home or in yoga. Except the electrical machines. BFD. The treatment rooms are tiny and they use paper towels to cover the pillow for the next client. The atmosphere was surly, like the receptionist and the PT guy were bitter ex’s fighting about everything. The«practitioner» had another client while I was there. He abandon me for 25 minutes on the stationary bike, I shouldn’t be using and chatted away with his new client interest. I picked up my things and when the reception asked if I needed another appt. I told her No, I am completely done with you. 4 months later they start sending me bills because they screwed up the billing. Never ever use these people.

Here is the short summary: The staff is rude, the office is straight-up dirty and disorganized, and they only accept cash. If your primary doctor refers you here, ask to be referred somewhere else! Okay, on to the details: I was referred to this practice by my primary doctor. I should have trusted my instincts and asked for a different referral after attending my first of four appointments. Upon walking into the office, I was appalled by the state of the waiting room. It is used as a storage room for spare equipment, including parallel bars, medicine balls, and other junk, piled along one wall. In the treatment room, a paper towel is placed over the same pillow that is used for other patients. One time mine was covered with black hairs that, unfortunately, were not mine. It was difficult to concentrate on the treatment when I felt like the office was so dirty. The receptionists were the most negative part of my experience. My first appointment was in the afternoon, and the office was aware of my specific health insurance. However, upon arriving for my first appointment, they said it was too late in the day to confirm my insurance over the phone, so they could not guarantee that it would cover my visit. When I expressed dismay, the receptionist responded with a flat expression; she couldn’t even bother pretending to care. During other visits with another receptionist, it was the same thing: blank expression, acting like I was intruding when I asked a question or went to schedule a follow-up. They are cash only and did not tell me this until I went to pay. All of their bookkeeping is pencil and paper, so looking up information is slow. My therapist himself had an odd bedside manner: he was overly-friendly one minute and socially absent the next. He prescribed me exercises and rarely assessed to see how my progress was going or if I should move on to more strenuous exercises. Instead he used e-stim and ultrasound nearly exclusively(I think they are legit helpful but I’d like to learn some skills to use on my own). The last visit ended abruptly and he asked me if I wanted to keep coming to sessions, and when I asked his opinion he told me matter-of-factly that it wouldn’t help. Sooo… I guess I won’t come back then! I had been in PT before(San Francisco Sport and Spine Physical Therapy — awesome place) and felt like I learned skills to keep my pain in check. Going to this office, the only thing I learned is that I should take my health insurance elsewhere if I’m treated rudely or if the office is dirty.
