I loved this Macys so much. It is amazing! I wouldn’t mind going back just to hang out around union square too.(:

I love this Macy’s I always can find deals. My 3 girls love to shop here and the sale are crazy on a good day. To go to the city and make a day out of shopping at Macy an going to The Cheese Cake Factory after a long day shopping is wonderful.

I eat hear a lot when I am in San Francisco. It’s a quick, convenient place to grab a bite. There are several options for where to eat, and they have changed over time Boudin seems to have always been there, and always has a small line. The only problem is you are in the basement. So no view and that is a waste in SF. Other then that it’s easy to get in and out.

I came seeking help with a wedding registry. LaTanya was very patient with a group of three scattered, indecisive women ahead of me. With me, she went above and beyond… Looking up my desired gift in inventory, phoning the Fine China section, taking me there in person when no one answered, searching through many items until we found mine, gathering a bag and tissue plus ensuring the registry would be properly updated then finally checking me out. She did it all with a smile and fun energy. Thanks so much, LaTanya — I clearly would have been lost without you!!!

I used to come to Macy’s Cellar all the time when Wolfgang Puck Café had a spot here. Now I drop by for the occasional meal from Boudin Sourdough Bakery & Café. Or if an ice cream craving hits, Ben & Jerry’s. On Friday, September 18th around 1pm, I stopped by to try Asian Box. They’ve taken over the old Wolfgang Puck Café space, so they have a rather large area in the Cellar. If you take the escalators down by the perfume and watch department it’ll be your first restaurant on the right after passing Godiva Chocolates. I was craving something Asian inspired, so I got a Chicken and Shrimp box over salad($ 13.45). Most boxes come with one meat for $ 8.25, but my inner fattie wanted two proteins! It was a solid box and definitely fulfilled my craving. If you’re looking for other dining options or snacks, they also have Jamba Juice, Mixed Greens and Tortilla Kitchen. I haven’t tried any of these places, but Tortilla Kitchen looks like it could be a good Mexican option. Macy’s Cellar is a good go-to when I don’t want to walk far, but I want a change of pace. I don’t come here often, so it allows me to mix it up.

If I’m ever around Union Sqaure and start craving some San Franciscan sourdough bread, I go to Boudins inside Macy’s. This food court is located in the basement level of Macy’s for women, just below the shoe and purse level away from the cold freezing air. My favorite restaurant is Boudin that makes great fresh bread and other menu items. Also they have a Ben and Jerry’s and an average Japanese restaurant.

Ben and Jerry’s Yay.(5) Jamba Juice not so Yay.(2) Averaging the 2 gets me to 3.5 stars. This is probably the case at all Jamba’s but their drinks are thick(thanks to copious amounts of ice) which is a shame as they are usually tasty.

Great sourdough, sub-par soup. My wife and I were on vacation in San Francisco and took a tour of the Boudin Bakery store located near Pier 39. We really liked their operation and made a point of trying them at some point. We ended up at Macy’s Cellar for ice cream and noticed that there was a Boudin shop there as well. I had a chicken pot pie in a bread bowl and my wife had a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. Their sourdough is fabulous. My wife isn’t really into sourdough, but she really liked it. Both the grilled cheese and chicken pot pie were great. The reason for only 4 stars(and not 5) is their tomato soup. Not the best tomato soup to be had by a long shot. Didn’t seem like they really tried to make a good tomato soup. We’ve had better from a can. But all in all a great place to eat.

That Wolfgang Puck place was the bomb back when I worked the summer season at Banana Republic. If they are still there and they serve the chicken tenders with fries and ranch… GETIT! (The Mac and Cheese was purty good too.)

I went to the Boudin Bakery in the Macy’s cellar and order a half sandwhich and salad and the salad still had dirt on it like it wasn’t wash good enough. I would never go back to this location again.

It’s amazing. I been to SF all my life, school, shopping, work… and I never knew Macy’s had a Food court! it’s small, but always a place to sit and relax.

Lots of pretty good lunch places to eat around here — good choices for vegetarians as well! I went to Boudin’s, and they are always very friendly and nice, and they bring the food out pretty quick — be sure to check out their super-cool electronic soda machine! ^_^ The food itself, however, makes for a good lunch, but nothing too special(I ordered a California veggie sandwich with green salad). It’s an average amount of food for an average price, and I wouldn’t mind going back(since the lunch is healthy), but just don’t expect it to blow you away!

I was at the Macy’s Cellar department a couple of weeks ago to meet a friend for lunch. It has been years since I have been there. It still is a busy place as I remember it in the past. I think it is a pretty good place to go for lunch. Lots of selections for food choices. I went to the Boudin café for a sandwich, it was okay. My friend and I had a very limited amount of time for lunch, only 30 minutes. Next time I go, I will look around more as I say it has been a while since I had been there at Macy’s Cellar. I think I will try the Rick Bayless café. His TV show«Mexico — One Plate at a Time» features some really delicious creations.

It’s usually a biotch to find seating here in this bustling cafeteria but it’s pretty sweet and convenient. Grab a beverage if you are parched and grab and bar seat at the sushi bar. It can take a few hours to go through all the stuff at Macy’s. It’s nice to know that you don’t have to go far for a quick snack. Sometimes I just run outside and grab a hot dog from the cart. So good!

Very convenient — they’re an easy three block walk from my apartment, so I got all my kitchen appliances and utensils there, and the prices aren’t unreasonable either. They also have various food demonstrations from time to time. The one I went to was about pairing wine with food — and they kept refilling my glass whenever it got empty…

Love the fact that this is located at the bottom of all of the shopping… I love going to the Jamba Juice here, going to the Post Office, and then browsing through the Macy’s kitchen section here. I have not had the chance to try the food… but I am sure I am not missing much…

WOLFGANGPUCKEXPRESSISTHEULTIMATEMOUTHWATERINGQUICKBITEEVER! mm, everytime I’m in SF I HAVE to come here! Honey smoked turkey sandwich is the best. I’m craving it as I type! They put this delicious caper dressing sauce in it that will never let me stop thinking of it. I’m so sad that they don’t have a wolf gang express around my area. =(Although i’ve only tried that sandwich, fries, chicken tenders/mash potatoes and mac n cheese… their entire menu sounds absolutely delicious! I always see what others are ordering and I want to try it also but I could never get over the honey smoked turkey. Their fries are the best! Skinny fries that are just right, crispy on the outside and nice mashed potatoey on the inside. AND the ranch is the thick and creamy kind I like. YUM!

I can’t believe anyone would go to The Cellar unless it was a DIREEMERGENCY. Like you can’t stand Macy’s soundtrack, or you have a grumpy whiney child or other wise insensitive companion Yes, indeed you can hide in a corner at Boudin’s, but you will still be depressed at the bad lighting, awful food, and un-bussed dirty tables and less-than-fresh food. One would be better off at Tad’s, and much better off at Original Joe’s A child is happy with a pretzel or a hot dog from the vendors outside Macy’s Big store, or a donut outside the Men’s store. I have spoken.

Macy’s cellar is convenient for a quick bite to eat when you are power shopping in Union Square. The sushi place has a bar and the prices are not too bad. The food is only ok. Wolfgang Pucks is fine … but like others have said, it can take a long time and it is not very healthy. Tom’s fresh baked cookies are good. When friends come to visit, they like the soup in a bowl at Boudin. You can use your Macy’s credit card and that makes it easy. If you are a preferred card member, you can get a few hours of free parking in the Union Square parking garage with validation at the gift wrap department in Macy’s on the 5th floor.

I am surprised I’ve only gotten to this review now because I used to have to eat here at least once a week. It is where I got addicted to Boudin’s crack, I mean, Spring Salad, and have eaten far too much of drenched-in-butter-gravy-oil Wolfgang Pucks. If you are in a hurry, stick to Boudin’s or the even the pizza aisle at Wolfgang’s. However, if you go to the middle aisle/entrees & pastas at Wolfgang’s you are doomed. In my retail past, I’ve seen most of my allotted lunch hour sucked away standing in line waiting for such complicated delicacies as Chicken Fingers and Fries here. And, make no mistake about it, the«healthier» options liked baked chicken or salmon pasta are smothered in cream, butter, and oil.

When I’m tired from shopping in Union Square, I head to Macy’s Cellar, located on the basement floor of Macy’s. If you need some sugar to re-energize yourself, what better more can you ask for than to have Ben & Jerry’s, Tom’s Cookies, and Jamba Juice all next to each other! If that’s not enough, you can take the elevator to Cheesecake Factory. They also have lunch places like Wolfgang Puck, Boudin, and a sushi bar, but the Cellar is so congested I prefer to come here to pickup sweets and eat at Union Square(when it’s not raining).
