Lucky Star Moving

I set an appt for ⁴⁄₁₂. We agreed to move at noon. The day before the move they asked to change the move to 3pm. Which I agreed to however at 3pm no show. I called at 3:30 and asked for an eta because they were now an half an hour late. They said they will be there at 4:30pm and will try to be there at 4pm. The movers didn’t show until 6:15pm. They didnt have the supplies and was unable to efficiently. I have had older movers move faster and more effectiently. This is the worst move I have ever had
They also was going to leave half the things at the house, they moved very slow for small furniture. I didn’t even move my whole house. They disturbed my neighbors by coming there with a moving truck at 10pm at night. I informed them that I will pay a lower rate and they didn’t want to leave my house. They also expected I tip even though this was a terrible move. Tip is not required and especially not for bad, slow service. The guy puts on an act and say he is so tired and was refusing to leave my house saying they are losing money however time is money I lost 3 hours of my day. I had to tell them to leave my property. I will never use this service again. I also tried to call the manager and they told me it wasnt a good time. Well dealing with movers this late isn’t a good time for me. It’s now close to midnight and I am extremely fustrated.

Excited to be what looks like the first legit review for these movers. Found them on craigslist and they were available on short notice.
Got 2 guys and a 24′ truck for the 3 hour minimum. Finished a move across Oakland with a nasty 4 story couch carry (thanks broken elevator slumlord!) up a tight staircase to finish the day. Probably a 4 star moving experience given the occasional bitching about the broken elevator and the giant couch, but given the hourly rate I can’t dock them a star.
They were exactly on time with a new truck, new hand trucks, clean furniture blankets and plastic wrap. They worked hard and were reasonably careful with our stuff.
No BS surcharges, though we tipped healthily given the 4 stories and the heat at the end of this yellow brick road.
Still worth 5 stars, but if you’ve got heavy stuff, don’t be cheap like me and spring for 3 guys. Neither of our two movers were exactly Clydesdales.

I would highly recommend this service to anybody. The movers were on time (even early!), were fast, efficient and friendly. They provided all the moving supplies necessary and boxed/​wrapped all my large items to ensure they would not scratch/​break. They even unpacked and set up my belongings in my new place! Made the moving process hassle free!
