I am extremely happy to have found Dr. Lam from a good friend of mine. Previous dentists I’ve had used to clean my teeth, but not with the same skill that Dr. Lam has. She is thorough with her work, but without the experience of pain and I come out from each visit feeling fresh and clean.

I have been going to see Dr. Lam for over 2 years now, she is beyond stellar. I have recommended her to all my close friends and family members. I also like that there is 2-hr parking across the street — a rare amenity in SF. 2+ years — no cavities, no more sore jaw thanks to a night guard. If I could I’d go see her 4 times a year!

I would give negative stars if that were possible, but the min. is 1 so what can I do. POORWORK! My teeth are MESSEDUP now that I went there. I can say that I have no regrets from the decisions I’ve made thus far in life, but I regret ever getting my teeth fixed from Ling Yin Lam DDS. THISWASTHEBIGGESTMISTAKEOFMYLIFE!!! Thanks a lot to the Dental Board for giving someone who doesn’t have the skills a license! You go here and you’ll have to pay twice — once for her and then again to a different dentist to fix what she messed up. She will charge you more than what she initially tells you because she felt that she had to do more work so pay attention to your bill. You try to reason with her and she will tell you don’t call again. And if you like your dentist to have shaky hands this is the place for you. The place doesn’t seem to have any business whatsoever, so you can get appointments easily. Just look at when was the last review done(3÷12÷2008). There isn’t any receptionist. She runs the show from start to finish.

Dr Lam is totally cool… I’m a candy/sweets freak and about 3 – 4 years ago, I needed 2 root canals(ouch!) done on my back molars. So, I had them done by my aunts dentist somewhere in Palo Alto… man, did that shit hurt! Even with the novacane! Needless to say, after that, I didn’t go back, so I had pretty much 2 molars without crowns and it was pretty okay for a while, it just felt like I had half toothes in the back of my mouth. LOL So then about a year ago, I was goofing around on my work insurance site and was looking for someone close to where I lived with a good background, and I found Dr. Lam! After the whole root canal thing, I was pretty sketchy about going into another Dentist, but I knew I had to go(if I still wanted teeth when I was 30)… since I didn’t have time Mon-Fri to go during her normal schedule, she fit me in on a Saturday afternoon — great for me since I go out Friday nights and don’t usually wake up until noonish on Saturday’s anyway. When I got there, I was pleased to see that it was a really small office with just 2 chairs and no 15 – 20 min wait, I just filled out some quick 5 min paperwork and it was off to the x-ray! *Embarassing* Have to admit, I had a lot of cavaties, and she scolded me(in a motherly way) a little for eating so many sweets. and I said that I can’t help it somtimes(I think it’s a bad habit that I’ve had ever since I stopped smoking — damn oral fixation!) … anywhooo… throughout the next couple of months, she took out all of my old metal/silver fillings and replaced them with enamel colored ones to match my teeth, and gave me 2 crowns on my old root canals –yay! So now I have a normal smile with no toothaches, and a dentist to call in case I ever do… in all honesty, she reminds me of my mom — sweet and gentle in nature, and just wants the best for you regardless if she gets paid or not. You rock Dr. Lam! =)
