Lexington Place

I will follow Sophie Gutterman wherever she goes! I saw her when she was at Milvali on Union, and now I see her at Lexington Place! The space is gorgeous: Clean, New, Modern and has such a wonderful environment for chatting and getting beautiful hair.
Sophie listens to everything I ask her to do with my hair and guides me in the right direction. She never disappoints and anyone would be so lucky to have her do their hair. I recommend both her and Lexington Place!

Nichole is absolutely amazing!!! I have been getting my hair done by her for 3+ years! I lived in LA for a portion of that, and when I would fly home I would always make sure that I would get a cut and color done by her. Now I drive from Sacramento to get my hair done by her — she’s that good. I have always felt that Nichole listens to what I want and I have never left disappointed! Also, coming to her new salon puts you in such a good mood. It’s so beautiful, and so zen!

Nichole has been taking care of my hair for 4+ years. I stumbled on her name and after visiting her once, never looked back! She’s brilliant with hair, and passionate about what she does.
She asks questions, listens, shows you photos of what she’s thinking to make sure you are on the same page, and does everything she can to make sure you leave happy. I am embarrassingly lazy with my hair, letting it air dry most days. Nichole listens to that, and always cuts it so that it can naturally dry and still look great. She’s always offered up great suggestions or new looks to try, while still making sure I’m completely comfortable with whatever she’s trying. And it always turns out great. I have truly never been disappointed after leaving her salon. She’s also fantastic with color, everything from traditional foil highlights, all over color, and subtle ombré /​balayage.
Her new salon is wonderful. It’s beautifully done, very comfortable, and very conveniently located on Union Street. She also sells a great line of product that is reasonably priced called Unite.
I was recently married in San Francisco and couldn’t imagine not having Nichole do my hair on my wedding day. It was perfect. She did a fantastic job for myself, the bridesmaids and my mother and mother-​in-​law. I would certainly recommend her for weddings, too. Her pricing is very reasonable, and she is such a calming, lovely person to be around, which was perfect for wedding-​morning prep!
I couldn’t recommend Nichole enough!

This review is for a wash, hair cut, and blow dry by Nichole Glenn.
To cut to the chase, Nichole does the best haircuts and styling I have ever had, which is why I have been going to her since 2012 and why I am giving her five stars (again!) at her new salon. My hair is very tricky given it is thick, wavy, and I swear it has a mind of its own. I need a style that I can workout in, requires very little maintenance, but also looks great in a business formal office setting.
In my experience, other stylists/​salons hesitate to take direction with my hair style, even though I make it abundantly clear that I am putting myself in their capable hands (and paying big bucks for that matter). Every time I visit Nichole, she listens intently and we have a conversation about my goals and her recommendations. As she cuts and shapes my hair, she evaluates how the waves are forming and adjusts accordingly… the results have been amazing!
Over the past several years, Nichole has styled my hair while it was very long (down to my waist), very short (current shoulder length bob), and has done many blow-​outs, up-​dos and periodic costume styling (for a 1920s themed party). I have never had a bad experience. She often spends an extra few minutes with me to ensure my hair is just right, and the prices are reasonable. Nichole is exceptionally nice, and I look forward to chatting with her during my time in the salon. The new space at Lexington Place is really beautiful, with lots of natural light, new equipment, tea/​beverages, and a great location. There is no reason to go to any other salon in the city!

I’ve been seeing Nichole for 2+ years now and she is seriously the best! We’ve played around with colors, cuts and even extensions– every time I leave her salon feeling fabulous and looking even better than the last time I saw her. I have and will continue to recommend Nichole to all my friends in the city.
Lexington place is a little piece of heaven hidden away on union street. Beautiful ambiance, amazing service and wine/​chocolates, what more could a girl want?

I love this place, and I kind of want to keep it a secret!
I purchased a gilt city deal for color and cut, because I, admittedly, have a habit of not being very loyal to any one stylist or salon, mostly because I haven’t found one I fall in love with THAT much to keep going back! Well I think Nichole might have changed that.
I went in just wanting a change, I had an overgrown long head of hair with traces of my last ombré color mixed in with plenty of split ends. Nichole gave me a fabulous lob, which I was nervous to do because every time I go for a shorter length, I end up looking like I’m back in elementary school. I ended up with a sophisticated cut and color, that meets my need for being super low maintenance (i’m lucky if i even blow dry my hair on a weekday). She also recommended some great products, which albeit were a bit pricey, but I’m happy so far with the quality of them.

Really happy I tried the Lexington place. My hair (full highlights and hair cut) looks just how I wanted. Nichole was really accommodating even though I showed up nearly 15 minutes late and asked for something different than what I had originally scheduled. As a bonus, the salon is gorgeous! Definitely recommend Nichole.

Needing the best haircut and color, you need to see Nichole Glenn at Lexington Place. Not only is the salon absolutely gorgeous you come out feeling absolutely gorgeous. I have been to many hairstylists in SF and no one had mastered my color like Nichole, PLUS she knows how to keep my hair super healthy, it has never looked this good!

Lexington Place is my new favorite find. The décor is top-​notch — classy, sophisticated, and feels like a Parisian salon. Nichole, the owner, is hands down the best stylist in the city. I have been coming to her since she was still in school, but even then you would have thought she was a seasoned stylist. Nichole has excellent vision and skills to execute on it. I have never had a bad cut or color from her and would trust her to try anything on my hair. She recently gave me highlights/​balayage and a cut but I come to her for everything. What makes Nichole and her salon stand out from the rest (aside from her innate skills) is the commitment to ongoing education. She is constantly attending seminars, workshops and conferences to stay abreast of the latest trends in hair. I doubt there’s anything she CAN’T do well! We forgot to do a «before and after» this time but I’ll be sure to post photos during my next visit.

Great location right in the heart of Union Street. I’ve been a client of Nicole’s for over 5 years and i’m so excited about Lexington Place. I had been growing my hair out and when i came in for a cut she always respected the length. She also had great options for me when i decided to chop it off. I’ve been going to Nichole for cut and color for 5 years. She does an amazing job and if you are new or want a change, she will take the time to go over options. She is great at knowing what style would look great based on your face shape, features you want to highlight or how your hair falls naturally. Her new place is beautiful, love the gray walls, chandeliers, comfortable shampoo stations and the salon is spacious, up to 10 stylists! Highly recommend!

Nichole is the only person that I trust with my hair. I have had a lot of bad cuts and dye jobs, and Nichole evened my layers and gave me a beautiful color that I constantly get complements on and she continues to keep me looking fabulous. The new studio is absolutely beautiful as well. The golds and blacks make it look elegant and it is vary spacious. She also is great for special even hair and is able to work with whatever you need, I tell everyone I have the best hair stylist in the city and I truly believe that!
