Employees are nice but food is awful. Grill is always turned up way too high and the concept of a breakfast sandwich was lost on the chef who gave me a burnt omelette over a mutilated and untoasted English muffin. Also coffee was bitter and not fresh. Had two bites of the food and decided it’d be better to stay hungry than to eat it.

The pizza station with Antonio is what keeps me coming back. Create your pizza and a side salad for a lil less than ten dollars is a steal! Especially with the quality of ingredients they use here! :)(Farm to fork seasonal and minimally processed ingredients from local farms.) They also have goat cheese and basil pesto sauce as their pizza options!!! Woohoo! Antonio is an awesome pizza chef! The best pizza I’ve ever tasted!!!

When my friend said«cafeteria» he really wasn’t kidding! The food here is decent, and it rotates every so often, so just check the website for daily menus. There’s always a good variety that satisfies all dietary requirements… everything from sandwiches to soups. The setup of stations makes food easy to order, and everything is made right in front of you! Prices are very reasonable, generous quantities are given, and the staff members are nice. The view outside the far glass wall of the cafeteria is absolutely breathtaking. Great place to just replenish yourself and take a break from work.

I do think that the food is good here. The general staff is very friendly and helpful. However, people are allowed to dip spoons into the soup to «taste». The manager of the facility reprimanded me for putting small amount of soup in a bowl to taste it as he was standing there eating a bowl himself! He explained he was not feeling well! He said one should only«dip the spoon» to taste. Within the last month an associate of mine told me they had a meal here which resulted in going home sick. People should look at this way of tasting the soup or anything else here and consider it a health risk! It was somewhat comical but a turn off that the manager was sick and tasting the food outright.

I am not an employee of LucasFilm/ILM. I wish I was :) But I did get a tour last week and we got to eat lunch in the employee cafeteria. Cafeteria is used loosely here since that probably conjures up visions of your high school cafeteria. Not. First of all, the views in here are amazing. The giant windows look out at the Golden Gate Bridge and The Palace of Fine Arts. And on a clear, sunny day like when I went — amazing. There are different food stations for Mexican, Italian, pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches, paninis, vegetarian, sushi and desserts. Plus pre-packaged cookies, etc if you wanted that. I’m sure I missed some stuff too. I was on sensory overload the entire time I was in the building :) I had the 3 mushroom risotto. I am kind of a risotto snob ever since eating at Harry Cipriani’s and Downtown in NYC. And using the Cipiriani cookbook, I can make it at home. But this smelled delicious. And they made it to order. So I decided to try it. This was better than any risotto I’ve tried at any trendy, fancy or expensive SF restaurant. Second to NYC only. Amazing. And it was $ 7.00(obviously subsidized pricing for employees.) The cashier was extremely helpful and friendly. I have a broken ankle so hobbling takes a while. She went and got me a soda when I didn’t realize I had passed them. They have«samples» of the food out so you can see what you are ordering. Everything looked delicious, with good quality ingredients and very generous portions. If I worked here, I’d get Jabba-sized from all the nummy food for sure :)

I am an employee of Lucasfilm and just wanted to let everyone know that the Dining Commons is now offering Strauss’ Organic Non-Fat Frozen Yogurt. Previously, the Commons did offer some other brand of fro-yo, however, it was not as tasty as Strauss’. Strauss’ is offered in two flavors, Tart and Chocolate, and one can also mix it if you so choose. There are at least 10 toppings to put on top of your fro-yo, varying from Gummi Bears to the unique Goji berries. I cannot remember the price per ounce and will have to update the review when I find out. Nevertheless, I had the frozen yogurt today and will definitely return for more!

located within the Lucasfilm dept.(movie dept). For $ 6.50 i was full. that was a great chicken sandwich that i had with some fancy fried potatoes. condiments and sides such as lettuce, pickles etc are availavle for your own picking, they even have a tray full of sauted onions ready to go. the selection was a plently from fresh sushi, to personalized oven-baked pizza, to pasta, calzones, burgers, deli, stir-fry, salads, etc. too bad this isn’t open to the public. my classmates/teachers and i ate lunch here during our tour of the Lucasfilm Ltd. Studios in Presidio. ahhh… one day I will work here(one of the studios not the cafeteria… iono just as long as i’m in the building haha). i swear.
