Had a roast beef sandwich for $ 5.50. It was great quality and value.

Once you’re in the market everything is fine. However unless you’re a local, know the owners, or are rollin’ deep with 4 or more people, I do not recommending spending more than 3 minutes here. There are always questionable people lurking around the corner outside and most of the time I get harassed and hit on. This definitely sets up a bad morning for any female. However if you are an adrenaline junkie and like to constantly live on the edge of death, come hang out at this corner market with the 30 or other crack heads around you. I hope you don’t get assaulted.

I’m sorry I’m not a lover of corner stores of people standing around on corners getting wasted outside of them either, but this place has great-​ass sandwiches for like $ 4 – 5 and I never felt unsafe walking by. But maybe that’s because I live in Bayview and though I’m not a black person, I know people in this neighborhood because I teach in it.
The sandwiches are not huge, but the quality is better than decent and it beats buying pre-​packaged chicken sandwiches that probably aren’t really made out of chicken. I haven’t tried the fried or burgers or anything else cooked to order, but the sandwiches are worth the price. I’ll update it when I try the other stuff… fries smelled bomb.

If you are a female that values your life, your car, your possessions, you may not want to venture near this neighborhood.
My boyfriend and his friends grab food here occasionally. They say the burgers are really good.
I’ve waited anxiously in the car for my boyfriend to run in and out of this spot to grab us drinks or last minute items like aspirin, ice cream, etc.
This is the hood. My car was broken into in this neighborhood and I seriously have an issue with people who just hang around outside all day long that look like the living dead. Another spot nearby is Friendly Liquor if you want to see where the local hoods hang out. This is where they go when they need to re-​energize before jacking folks and stealing from innocent people.
Imagine the scene from LA Story when Steve Martin meets his robber– just hand over your wallet and walk away.

It is convenient b/​c it is like a mini grocery store as well as a fast food type of joint; sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken fingers, buffalo wings, and french fries. can’t get any better than that w/​o the drive!
I hate the crowds that hang outside the place though.
