Excellent food and excellent service! I had the Portland Benedict and it was fabulous! Would highly recommend coming her for brunch!

Excellent brunch and service. They have a wonderful variety of food – even their vegan dishes taste good! Recently ordered dinner from them. Stews are wonderful, but could use more spices and salt. Everything is clean-tasting here. You can tell they have high standards in terms of quality of food and service. Food is kind of pricey for the neighborhood, but it’s prob cuz their rent is higher than the older establishments.

I came here for a paint nite and my boyfriend and I shared the lamb wrap. I thought it was very kind of them to split the wrap into two plates for us. Overall it was fairly decent but I just didn’t think that it had a lot of flavor. The lamb inside was good but the wrap in its entirety was very bland. There was a side of hummus with the wrap but hummus has a plain flavor so it didn’t help much. What I did enjoy was the salad. Very good salad and was dressed well. The house sangria was pretty good too. It had small apple pieces in it and that was a good touch.

Ordered via caviar. Delivery was fast. The lamb wrap was really saggy I think because of the yogurt within. Would have been better to get the yogurt dip on the side instead. I also got the cigar shaped fillo dough it was ok I guess.

Would brunch here again. The French toast is tasty and fluffy with flavorful whipped cream and orange butter. The décor is nice too, with a relaxed atmosphere.

Lale is a relatively new addition to Irving, probably opened up in the last year(maybe year and half?). I checked out the menu, but there wasn’t anything too out of the ordinary or appealing enough to attract me. But a couple weekends ago, the bf and I went to Cassava only to find it closed due to a power outage): The bf was set on breakfast food, so Lale it was! We arrived pretty late, maybe around 11:30−12 and the place was pretty empty. The service was good, but food was really slow to come out. I’m not sure exactly how long we waited, but it felt like 20 – 30 minutes. At this point, there were a few more tables — maybe 5 including us? A few of the servers also looked like they really didn’t want to be there. I’m not saying everyone’s gotta be all smiles all the time, but I really didn’t want to ask them for anything because they just looked so unhappy. Now for the food. I don’t think Lale is anything special in the breakfast/brunch category. They offer flatbreads and wraps, but let’s be honest… Most people don’t go to brunch for that =/I ordered the fresh lemonade with mint, and it was literally a cup of lemonade with two small leaves of mint. The lemonade itself didn’t have any mint flavor at all, but maybe I misunderstood what was being offered. I forget which egg benedict I had, but it came with tomatoes bacon and arugula. It was as good as any other benedict I’ve had. I don’t care much for home fries, so meh on those. The bf had the«Two eggs with a choice of meat and a choice of a sweet tooth item» with a sausage and french toast. He enjoyed it, but it didn’t seem like he was amazed by it haha

I LOVELALE! Everything is fresh and made from scratch. Orange juice is freshly squeezed. Hollandaise sauce is delicious. English muffins to die for. Freshly made jam.

Okay, here’s the skinny: I am new to the inner sunset neighborhood, and have been on a mission to find good breakfast spot. My mission is now accomplished! This is the best breakfast I have had since I have moved to this area. I walked in, to find the place almost deserted. But I am assuming this due to the fact that it was closer to the afternoon on a Friday. Ill bet they get packed on weekends, because Irving tends to come alive then. Service: Very welcoming. Only one waitress was working today, and she handled each table gracefully. She checked on me quite often, and was very sweet. Food: I had Mexican style eggs. It came with sour cream and guacamole on the side. Extra crispy home fries layered on the side, with a wheat-style toast. The eggs had mushrooms and peppers tossed in. This meal was absolutely fabulous. atmosphere: Very calm, and serene ambiance. In fact, the table that sat across from me said those words, not me. I just agree with them. Its is a nice, welcoming atmosphere. It felt relaxing to get away from the hussle and bussle of the busy city, while enjoying a good cup of joe. Pricing: Very reasonably priced. Especially for such a nice area. Overall: Give it a try! I did, and my Friday is now off to an excellent start!

Delivery via Caviar is a breeze — food arrives in about thirty minutes and get this: it’s warm! Their breakfast special is always my go-to and can be shared by two people if you are not that hungry. The english muffin seems like it’s made in house(correct me if I am wrong). The bacon is always crispy and you get a generous amount. Their pancakes have a certain taste to them, not your traditional buttermilk, but nonetheless very tasty. I can’t quite pin down the flavor but it’s citrus meets cinnamon perhaps. I definitely want to stop in and enjoy a meal at Lale, maybe in the near future for their mediterranean specialities.

Great food, great people, wonderful atmosphere, and located in one of my favorite areas of SF! What more could you ask for? I’ve come here several times and love everything that’s been prepared for me. The food is delicious and their corned beef hash benediction(Jerusalem) is unique and a must order. So are the french toast, the eggs scrambles, and everything else really! I have not come for dinner yet, but will soon. Can’t wait for my next trip to Lale.

Cozy ambiance, great food and friendly service! I made my way to Lale because I was in the area to donate clothes at Crossroads Trading Company just a block away. It was the perfect opportunity, as I’ve been wanting to try it for a while now. I’ve been there once before, but it was over a year ago and I can’t truly recall if I enjoyed it or not. The only thing I did remember was their Turkish coffee, because I had no idea what it was until they brought it to the table in a tiny little cup. It was a funny moment. Off the bat, I felt that the ambiance was fantastic. Dim lit room, with awesome wall décor and tables on both sides. It was a very relaxed vibe and the servers were attentive and instantly came to my table to offer me coffee. No Turkish coffee for me this time! I went for their regular coffee, and thought the brew was delicious. Turns out it was Sightglass coffee, which I’ve been wanting to try for a while now. On to the food! I ordered the two eggs with potatoes(and they also come with English Muffins) and the french toast. Both came out fairly quick. I thought the eggs were perfectly cooked and I loved the addition of goat cheese. The side English Muffins were also a surprise hit, as the jam they provide is one of the best I’ve had. No joke, it is the BEST jam. The french toast was surprisingly good. It’s rare that I don’t need much syrup for my french toast, but they put the right amount of fruit that I didn’t need to overflow them with syrup. All in all, a tasty and fulfilling meal. Final verdict: Lale has been around for a couple year now and it’s clear that they are here to stay. They have unique food that has good flavor, service that is timely/efficient in most cases and a cozy environment that makes it the perfect place for both brunch and dinner. Definitely a spot that is worth a try.

They have their own in-house jam which is superb with the Ricotta French toast. I wish the texture of the French toast was more crunchy, it was still really delicious. Definitely try this place for the French toast! We also got the Cairo scramble, I like that the eggs weren’t overly cooked so it’s still very soft and fluffy. The potatoes tho… they were already made in batches and it was cold and a little bit soggy :(no more potatoes from this place.

It was quite refreshing to find a great breakfast spot that wasn’t busting at it’s seams with people. You’ll find classic breakfast items like benedicts, omelets, and scrambles on the menu as well as vegan and vegetarian options. I ordered the Mumbai eggs Benedict which is a vegetarian bene– Beets(!?-good!), mushroom, lentils, avocado, & tomato. The service was great but the atmosphere didn’t really do it for me.

Came here for brunch after the hot chocolate 5k and got seated pretty fast. My girlfriend ordered the meatball soup because we didn’t have a huge appetite after the run, and I ordered the cheeseburger with a side salad. The meatball soup came in a small bowl and literally had no taste whatsoever, almost like something straight from a can. The cheeseburger was very mediocre, bland, and super greasy. Our friends got more breakfast fitting dishes, and they said that it was a little better than what we had. All in all, this place is definitely not worth the price it charges.

Lale is one of those spots that I will have to try for real having now sampled a sample breakfast. They catered a conference we were doing and brought in tons of tubs of eggs and pancakes and French toast and home fries and it was all hot and flavorful and really delicious. A nice way to start a morning. There was plenty of food, even for a giant group, and I came late to it to grab things and it was still hot and tasty. If you’re looking for a breakfast spot to do breakfast for your group, this one has my thumbs up.

Just OK for brunch. I had the Texas beef hash — oddly, they used scallions instead of onions which I don’t think goes well with Western-style brisket, eggs, and cheese. The overwhelming green onion flavor sort of ruined the hash for me. The homemade English muffin was decent, but unfortunately the bottom half sat in a pool of liquid from the scrambled eggs and became soggy. The home style potatoes were well-seasoned but the edges were not crispy which is my favorite part. Overall brunch was pretty uninspiring, but at the same time, I can’t call it bad…

#237. Ran a 5K with some friends, then walked over here cause we were hungry. I think it had opened recently when I visited. I ordered the Napa: goat cheese, mushrooms, bacon, and bell peppers. I was living near wine country at the time so it was appropriate(: The dish was very simple, but after running without training, anything edible tasted delicious. This place is close to Golden Gate Park and totally walkable. +1 for convenience.

We came here on an early Saturday morning, only two other people were there. We ordered two breakfast plates. The 2eggs with fruit were good and the eggs Benedict(Toronto) were excellent. The potatoes that come as a side were tasty but nothing crazy. I had to add some salt and Tabasco. My only«complaint» is about the homemade English muffins(em). I don’t like butter so I normally don’t order scones or ask if I can have the toast without butter. The em is very buttery without adding butter. So if you like it, you have to order them since they are delicious it is just not what I like. Also the Strawberry jam goes very well with them.

EXTREMELY impressed with LaLe. I came here for brunch with a friend last weekend(didn’t even know they had brunch until we happened to walk by it), and had some incredible food. We split the ricotta stuffed French toast with almonds and I am still craving it. It. Was. So. Good. We also got the Mexican scramble(I think that’s what it was called?) and it was amazing as well. Can’t wait to go back!!!
