The interior is nice with loud music and the ambience is nice, but service was bad, food was bad. The salsa tasted like Ricola cough drops. I ordered a 10 $ enchilada combination plate with rice and beans but the enchilada was the smallest one I’ve ever been served. The rice was weird, didn’t taste like rice. I wouldn’t come back.

This place is pretty good we stopped because the sign said Posole. We ordered 2 Posole and a carne asada with beans and rice. The bowls of Posole were big enough for everyone to share with 1 other person. They didn’t have horchata and the tortillas cracked when rolling it up. Other than that our experience was quite satisfying. Bill came to 47.80 and we were all full.

Don’t go into this place unless you want to be kick out by the owner! Well not sure if she was the owner! She was very upset about us asked her if one of the servers there can take our order instead her! She was incredible rude! Very rude! I well never go back to this place again. Be careful not to said anything to her or she well tell you in your face to get out!

Food was mediocre. Food took forever and it wasn’t even busy. We basically had to wave down the server for every step of a restaurant experience. Bathroom had no toilet paper and was filthy. The guy came into the bathroom to fill up the toilet paper but yet did not pick up the trash on the floor.

Slow service — 5 min wait after sitting down. Restrooms were inaccessible. «Super» burrito was sloppy and unappealing. You get what you pay for, I guess.

Sorry this place has gone completely down! I was served two day old Beef Soup which tasted nasty… my friend ordered Chile Relleno which was not cooked at all! Was so hard she could not even cut it with her fork… ordered a can coke with the lunch. Normally we pay our food separately when we went to the counter to pay we saw the bill which totaled over $ 29.00 when we requested to pay separate each of us was charged $ 13 plus some cents. Now tell why did the actual written receipt show a total over $ 29.00 dollars… very weird… last time for us… much better many many yeas ago…

great platanos fritos, fantastic aguas frescas. I also liked the Mar y tierra combo(beef and shrimp). very kind service. the pricing is absolutely reasonable. maybe they don’t necessarily need to let us listen to mexican folk music all the time, although I was forced to shazam one very funny song. it was Yo el aventurero de Antonio Aguilar. look it up!

I like this place very much. Tasty salsa with some heat, all sorts of weekend exotica, like pozole, birra, and menudo, if that is your scene. If you are looking for a «mission-style» burrito with fresh veggies, tofu, or a salsa bar, you will not enjoy it, so do not come here. That is not what they do. My husband and I refer to it as «that Mexican diner.» That is what it is. You will be pleased as punch with your enchiladas, tacos dorados, and chili verde. You need to order things like crema, guacamole on the side, if you want them. Their coffee is good too, and they make dramatic seafood cocktails that I have yet to be brave enough to order. If this place was closer to my house I would eat there once a week.

Boring, cheaply made Mexican food. Service is slow. Super Burrito tastes like a microwaveable gas station burrito. No fresh veggies or salsa bar. Pancho Villa is way better.

Rounding up to five starts since this place is legit. Nothing fancy, but nicer than most Mexican spots on Mission with lots of space to sit down and it seems like never a crowd. Good breakfast options and you can tell it’s good since most of the clientele aren’t speaking English :)

Came here for lunch on a Saturday since we were nearby and reviews looked pretty good. Service was super friendly and fast. I ordered a special(stew with pulled pork) and my boyfriend ordered the steak dish with beans, rice, salad and an enchilada. His dish was pretty good; mine was not too good. Just a bunch of pulled pork in a soup and it was about $ 12. With all the great places to eat in the Mission, unfortunately would likely not come again although the service and folks who work here are so sweet.

There are a lot of Mexican restaurants on and around Mission Street and it is difficult to stand out. La Quinta does its best to stand out by providing a good sangria and having some awesome tables. Suitably tasty salsa that is easy to dip chips into is a big plus, too.

No fuss south american food. The staff was very attentive and kind. I like to get the plantains with beans and creama, hits the sweet spot. They also make great chicken and steak quesadillas. There is lots of seating and the place is clean and cared for.

Ever since I left Texas, my taste buds have been so lonely without my favorite mexican foods. I have a sweet love for huevos rancheros so I decided to give La Quinta a shot. I was a bit disappointed by both the food and the service. It was a Saturday afternoon so I understand it was busy, but I was constantly out of water and shit, that salsa gets hot! I was parched to say the least. The huevos rancheros were a bit bland. Some of my eggs were overcooked and the ranchero salsa was not spicy enough. Also, not a fan of the corn tortillas. The vegetarian burrito was alright, not great. I’m pretty sure they overcharged me and that’s my fault for not double checking the ticket, but I feel cheated by La Quinta.

My favorite Mexican spot hands down! Best chilaqueles and home made tortillas like my mom USED to make! Friendly, small, cheap, tasty!!! What else could you ask for?!

Oh my gosh. Absolutely delicious! Great prices and great variety. Their horchata and nachos are great and any of their burritos or meal deals are well worth it. The map of Mexico painted on the wall is beautiful and the atmosphere is very friendly. Then only down side is that the wait staff can be quite rude… And the chef didn’t think I spoke Spanish… And most was talking about me in a not so kind way from the kitchen which was well within view and earshot.

My gf and I were in the mood for a authentic Mexican breakfast. This place on the mission was good! The good was affordable, the service was great and the food was tasty. The lady who served us reminded us of a mom taking care if her kids. :). So sweet and nice. I had carne asada chilaquilles(so?). It was pretty tasty. My lady had the chorizo scramble which was also good. Very good bang for your buck. We would come back for sure.

First, you need to understand that Im on a mission to find really GREAT tacos dorados in San Francisco. This was my latest attempt… Went on a Sunday night about a half hour before close. Place is really cute, the employees were super friendly. I got… well you already know, and he got chile verde. Portions were huge, food came rapidly. Taste was okay, price was fine, but these were not the tacos dorados I’m searching for… The shells seemed like they were fried crispy earlier in the day and the chicken was added after… sort of a Taco Bell style taco dorado. I want the whole thing fried together right before I eat it. So could be this is the way you like it, but it’s not what I’m looking for. And despite the claim that the tortillas are handmade, they were not. Coulda been a Sunday night thing, but I was sad. On the way out we passed a little girl eating mole something. It smelled incredible. Next time I’ll try that.
