All of the other reviews here are spot on: delicious uncut rice noodles for $ 1 per pound, perfect for Thai dishes. One thing to add: make sure you call ahead if you don’t live nearby, one time they were sold out when I made the trek over and that’s a bummer.

Fresh rice noodles for $ 1 per lb! Hours typically 7am-2pm during the week. You must ring the bell to get into the store(behind an iron gate). Bring cash

Really nice rice noodle sheets. I bought some rice noodle sheets today from there. I called in advance to ask what their schedule was today and the guy who picked up said that they were open up to 3pm. So I’m assuming they’re open everyday up to 3pm. Their gated door is always closed. I mentioned this to the guy I spoke to on the phone. He told me that there was a buzzer to ring me in which I found next to the gate door. Since Yong Kee in Chinatown is closed, this is the best place to get bulk rice noodles sheet wise and cut(for all you rice noodle eaters). It is priced at 80 cents per pound and they’re pretty fast and efficient. Bring cash.

Kun Wo is the clandestine noodle master of the Mission. I came here to get some fresh flat rice noodles to whip together a dish after taking a Thai cooking class a few weeks ago. Basically, Kun Wo is a door with a buzzer and a faded sign. Ring the buzzer when they are open and ask for some noodles. I bought a pound of fresh noodles for $ 1. That’s right, $ 1. They stick the slippery noodles right in a plastic bag. When I rocked the wok that night, the fresh noodles from Kun Wo really made the difference in my pad sie eiw. It was even better as leftovers the next day. Next time your recipe calls for noodles skip the overpriced dry noodles at your local market and head over to Kun Wo for the real deal.
