A coworker recognized my need for a good haircut and recommended I see Kimberly. I have never been more happy with a haircut and a stylist. Not only does Kimberly cut my hair EXACTLY how I want it to look, she knows what she is doing and understands my hair (I have crazy thick hair). Her personality is welcoming and more importantly she wants you to love your hair and won’t let you leave until it’s perfect. Highly recommended. Tip: Book an appointment early, she fills up quick (because she’s that good).

The other reviewers are female but I would like to point out that Kimberly is a Goddess of Hair for men as well. I have trusted my hair care to Ms. Kimberly for the last year and couldn’t be happier. Her amazing hair cutting is accompanied by a glass of wine, a shampoo and pleasant conversation.
The most surprising thing about Kimberly’s hair styling is how long her haircuts last. I wear my hair short and a typical haircut will last about a month before I start to look shaggy. On several occasions I have not been able to schedule an appointment with Kimberly for more than two months after my last cut. Despite the long time between cuts, my hair still looked good. I don’t know how she does this but, while great for me, it can’t be good for her business. Imagine if you could buy a new car you knowing it would run trouble free for 250,000 miles!

I’ve been seeing Kimberly for years for Color, and Haircuts. She takes care of my hair, makes me feel beautiful, and makes me laugh while I enjoy a glass of wine. Kimberly always turns me on to the newest and greatest hair products as well as trendy hair styles, extensions and decorations.
I love a hairdresser who listens to what I want, and then gently offers her own perspective and experience on a case-​to-​case basis.

Kimberly is a hair goddess. Or magician… Whatever you want to call her, this gal is nothing short of marvelous.
I’ve been seeing Kimberly for around 3 years now and refuse to send my business anywhere else. This woman knows hair! Not only that, but she has a heart of gold and will turn you on to the latest and/​or tried-​and-​true products, even going so far as to hook you up with samples when she can.
She’s honest and sincere, and she always puts in 110% to make sure you are happy with your ‘do. I love this woman, and you will too!

Kimberly gave me a fantastic color job. I booked her having seen all the great reviews and asked her to turn my brassy color into a deeper, warmer brown. She was very helpful in picking out my color — she even explained the terminology behind the different tone options — and gave great suggestions and advice. She worked very fast and the color turned out beautiful. She also gave helpful tips on styling and suggestions for products available online. I will definitely be going back!

Kimberly is nothing short of a miracle worker. First went to see her about 3 years ago, when another stylist had died my ashy blonde hair jet black! (I had asked for low lights) The color correction she achieved was amazing. I have been to «the best» stylists and colorists in New York City and LA, and can honestly say that no one has come close to Kimberly’s skill, both in color and cut. Was particularly happy when she moved to Jackson Place Salon, it’s low key, and everyone there is wonderful!

BEST HAIR COLORIST AND STYLIST IN SF. Kimberly G is a goddess, and deserves all five fabulous stars for her talent alone, but her personality is a smash delight too.
She’s sooo easy to talk to, genuinely interesting, very professional, and makes the hours in the salon fun.
She took me from brown to blonde, she added the pink streaks during my freaky season, she transitioned them out and back into blonde. Then conditioned the hell out of it like nothing had ever happened. This mistress of color is a true artist.
And haircuts… she talked with me extensively about who i am, how i want to come across, and what i’m interested in… and made me sexy, she made me modern, she made me flattered, and she made me confident. Then we added BANGS.
These days i walk in and say «do your magic»… and i walk out gorgeous. every time.

Kimberly G deserves a VERY SOLID five stars.
First, let me tell you that I have curly hair and have never had any luck finding a good curly hair expert. I’ve Unilocaled it and Googled it to no avail. So hopefully if I say curly hair enough, some other nappy head in need of an expert stylist will find my review.

When I told Kimberly my problem of finding a stylist who could cut my hair how I liked it, rather than jumping to and assuring me she’d give me a cut I’d love, she paused and ASKED: «What EXACTLY are you looking for?» I explained precisely and she delivered. That’s my perfect stylist.
Now when people compliment me on my locks, I don’t hesitate to send them Kimberly’s way. I even keep her cards in my wallet to hand out for times like these. It’s an easy recommendation because so far, every one who has made an appointment from my recommendation is hooked for life.

So I am about to turn 30 in April and up until 2.5 years ago I was hairstylist-​hopping my way about life. I’ve seen it all, the one-​night stands (appointments where I walk out in tears over the end result), the noncommittal (stylist with inconsistent work where I finally just have to dump them because I deserve to be treated well all the time, okay??), the disappearing act (I had this one stylist I had settled for who left the salon without letting his clients know — come on now). It was getting to the point where I would get sick in my stomach the day of any hair appointment and I would pray that it would all be okay in the end.
Then my path crossed with Kimberly’s! The first time I met her she took the time to ask me about my hair’s history and the look I wanted and was going for. We laid out a roadmap to get my hair back in a healthy state but still making it look good in the meantime. What I found out quickly is that she is this color goddess. She has been able to create consistently what I want, a dark brown color with dimension but without using highlighting. I love my hair now. Not just the color but it’s noticeably more healthy than it was prior to Kimberly. I also just did the Brazilian Keratin straightening with her last week which made me realize a review is way overdue. The Keratin straightening is a great option for me because I don’t want to take the extra time to straighten my hair in the morning but it’s not flat, it’s full of volume but really manageable.
Her website is also pretty cool and transparent, all prices are listed and you can schedule your appointment right there online. So much better than going back and forth with the receptionist on the phone about what works for both our busy schedules…
Seriously, I adore this woman.

Kimberly is amazing! She is precise and honest. She makes sure to know exactly what you want to do and if it’s good for your hair before she even picks up the scissors. If it’s not good for your hair, she’ll let you know so you do not damage your hair any further. If you are set on doing what you had planned, she’ll try her best to get your result without damaging your hair.
Kim doesn’t rush anybody hair. She’s not like other stylists who tries to cut/​dye your hair as fast as humanly possible. She takes her time, and makes sure you love your hair and preps you on the do’s and don’ts before she lets you go. Kim never overlaps schedules, you won’t have to wait a long time for your turn.
She’s also extremely nice. I’m the type of person who doesn’t warm up to people easily. But she was so nice, you couldn’t help but smile. She talks to you like she has been your friends for years, it’s never uncomfortable because she has so many interesting things to share.
She has a cute little doggy too. I’m afraid of dogs, but Kim’s dog doesn’t bark, and isn’t very active. The dog is very laid back. It’ll just walk up to you and sit/​lay there. It’s the cutest dog I’ve ever seen. (I can’t remember if the dog was a boy or girl, so I used it).
